Fountain of pretoria

#ancienttown These statues are masterpieces of the Renaissance and the work of Francesco Camilliani, a famous sculptor in Florence. They were originally fountain statues in the garden of Luigi, a Spanish nobleman in Florence in the 16th century. They were sold to Palermo in 1573 due to moving. At that time, the consul of Sicily was Luigi's brother, and the Palermo Parliament discussed the purchase of the fountain. The garden in Florence built the Palace of San Clemente after the fountain was demolished. With the passage of time, this fountain was once criticized as a "fountain of shame" by the Taoists of the church built next to it.
