🇨🇿 Prague Offbeat Activities｜Watch an Opera at the Estates Theatre! This trip, I enjoyed a performance of 'The Marriage of Figaro' at the Estates Theatre. The Estates Theatre is one of the oldest theatres in Europe. 'The Marriage of Figaro' was composed by Mozart and was first performed in Vienna in 1786. The beautiful melodies truly captivate you, and the opera actors perform vividly with a touch of comedy. 🎭 Viewing Guide: 1️⃣ Search 'Estates Theatre' on Google Maps, click on the ticket link 🔗 to select seats and purchase tickets. 2️⃣ The performance starts around 19:00, and 'The Marriage of Figaro' ends after ten o'clock. It is divided into two acts, with different performances every day. 3️⃣ The performance includes a conductor, accompaniment, and opera singing. It is exceptionally beautiful! The costumes are also impressive. The accompaniment mainly features cellos and violins, complemented by various orchestral instruments. There are about 20 main and supporting singers 🎤. 4️⃣ There are two types of tickets: lower-level seats 🎫 and higher-level circular area seats. I personally recommend choosing the higher-level seats for a great view of the entire theatre, and the experience is excellent. You can get them for around 200 CZK. 5️⃣ Locals tend to dress a bit formally for concerts and operas. Men can wear collared shirts, and women can wear cocktail dresses 👗. 6️⃣ The singing language is, of course, incomprehensible, probably Italian, but there are Czech and English subtitles on the screen. We can just follow the English subtitles to understand the plot!
