St. Vitus Cathedral St. Vitus Cathedral holds a very important place in the religious and cultural life of the Czech Republic. Its construction lasted over 600 years, making it one of the most ornate cathedrals in Central Europe. Inside, it houses treasures ranging from 14th-century Bohemian crown jewels to Art Nouveau stained glass, as well as the tombs of Bohemian saints and rulers from St. Wenceslas to Charles IV. 📍St. George's Basilica The early Baroque-style red brick building towering over the square is the best-preserved Romanesque basilica in the Czech Republic, originally built by Vratislaus I in the 10th century. Most of what visitors see today was reconstructed between 1887 and 1908. Unfortunately, the crowds here are as dense as those at Disneyland, so to experience the atmosphere of the castle's owner, you'll need to get up early. 📍Telč Telč is a UNESCO World Heritage site, located at the border of Bohemia and Moravia. The town square here is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved in the Czech Republic. Start your journey here, where the houses along the street feature beautiful arcades and high gables, with colorful walls that are soft and bright. In 1530, the town was razed by fire, and most of the houses we see today are Renaissance-style buildings rebuilt in the 16th century.
