Czech Republic | Explore this Eastern European country rich in literary giants

| Explore this Eastern European country rich in literary giants. Czech Republic | Explore this Eastern European country rich in literary giants. 📍Prague Castle Within the walls of Prague Castle, you'll find churches, towers, halls, and palaces that have stood the test of a thousand years, almost forming a self-contained small town. Viewed from the west bank of the Vltava River, the densely packed spires, towers, and palaces resemble a fairytale fortress, dominating the city center. St. Vitus Cathedral St. Vitus Cathedral holds a very important place in the religious and cultural life of the Czech Republic. Its construction lasted over 600 years, making it one of the most ornate cathedrals in Central Europe. Inside, it houses treasures ranging from 14th-century Bohemian crown jewels to Art Nouveau stained glass, as well as the tombs of Bohemian saints and rulers from St. Wenceslas to Charles IV. 📍St. George's Basilica The early Baroque-style red brick building towering over the square is the best-preserved Romanesque basilica in the Czech Republic, originally built by Vratislaus I in the 10th century. Most of what visitors see today was reconstructed between 1887 and 1908. The Baroque twin spiral staircases leading to the semicircular apse contrast with the simple nave of the Romanesque church, and the apse retains 12th-century frescoes. 📍Charles Bridge Whether you're exploring alone in the early morning mist or weaving through the crowds in the afternoon, every visitor to Prague loves to stroll along Charles Bridge, browse the stalls of vendors and caricature artists, and listen to street musicians. The Baroque statues along the railings maintain a serene demeanor despite the passage of time. 📍Karlštejn Castle Located above the village of Karlštejn, 30 kilometers southwest of Prague, Karlštejn Castle is one of the most popular attractions in the Czech Republic. This fairytale-like medieval fortress is still well-preserved and would fit right in on the main street of Disneyland. Unfortunately, the crowds here are as dense as those at Disneyland, so to experience the atmosphere of the castle's owner, you'll need to get up early. 📍Telč Telč is a UNESCO World Heritage site, located at the border of Bohemia and Moravia. The town square here is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved in the Czech Republic. Start your journey here, where the houses along the street feature beautiful arcades and high gables, with colorful walls that are soft and bright. In 1530, the town was razed by fire, and most of the houses we see today are Renaissance-style buildings rebuilt in the 16th century.
