Punching the main attractions of the Shenli Gorge Scenic Area The Shenli Gorge Scenic Area is located in Pujiang County, which is known as the 'Hometown of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting' and 'Capital of Crystal'. The area has been a gathering place for culture since ancient times, with a rich historical and cultural heritage. The southern part of the scenic area features steep mountains, deep forests, beautiful waters, abundant birds and animals, flat lands, peculiar rocks, beautiful waterfalls, and a tranquil natural environment with well-preserved ecology; to the north, ancestral halls and temples, as well as Ming and Qing architecture, are particularly exquisite. There are twenty mountain views such as the incense burner clouds, Zhu Yun Waterfall, stalactite cold spring, the eternal rest of immortals, Pig Head Mountain, Grandpa Chen carrying stones, Hundred Steps Secluded Valley, and Meteor Cliff Eagle Watching; there are also eight Qing dynasty structures such as the Dunmu Hall, Shangshu Mansion, Yu Family Ancestral Hall, Hong Family Ancestral Hall, Huang Family Ancestral Hall, and Tongqing Hall. Especially noteworthy is the 3-kilometer ancient post road within the scenic area, which still retains a historical post station 'Shili Pavilion' halfway along its length. Since ancient times, there have been nearly ten beautiful legends circulating among the people, such as 'Huizhou Old Treasure', 'Grandpa Chen Carrying Stones', 'Mountain Lady Eternal Rest', 'Ge Mountain Hall Treasure', 'Furnace Peak Hall Monk', 'Pig Head Mountain Lighting', etc. Since the Song Dynasty, Shenli Gorge has been a popular destination for literati and poets, with famous figures from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties having written a large number of travel notes and poems, such as Wu Siqi, Fang Feng, and Xie Ao, who have traveled together and left many poems.
