Shaxian wontons, originally called Shaxian dumplings, are also known as Shaxian noodles. According to historical records, wontons were already being made in Shaxian during the Tang dynasty. At the first Shaxian Snack Festival in 1997, Miaomen Wontons were awarded the title of "Famous Chinese Snack." This was the first product in Shaxian's history to be given the title of "Chinese"! Miaomen Wontons have been passed down through four generations and have a history of over 30 years. The main store on Jianguo Road serves wontons with thin skins and tender meat, in a clear and fresh broth. The semi-transparent skins reveal a hint of pink, with a sprinkling of green scallions, and the steaming hot dish is full of flavor. The shop's fried sauce noodles are made with homemade cowpea and minced meat, chewy noodles, and scallion oil. Add a plate of duck gizzards, duck hearts, duck liver, and marinated eggs, drizzled with old marinade, for a satisfying meal.
