Seodaemun Prison punched me in the gut as it’s not like typical museums. Walking through those prison halls, you get a real feel for the struggles of Korean independence fighters. The exhibits are immersive, and let's just say, prison life wasn't sunshine and rainbows. It's a heavy experience, but an important one. Definitely worth a visit if you want to understand Korea's fight for freedom on a deeper level. You might feel blue, so, just maybe grab some bingsu (Korean shaved ice) afterwards to lighten the mood.
