A seriously underrated 5A scenic spot with few people and beautiful scenery.

Langshan Mountain is located in Xinning County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, China. It is located in the low mountain and hilly valley area of the Nanling Mountain System. It is adjacent to Hengshan in the east, Guilin in the south, Wulingyuan in the west, and Shaoshan and Yuelu Mountain in the north. It covers an area of about 108 square kilometers. It is one of the largest, most typical, and most complete Danxia landforms in China. It is praised by relevant experts as the "soul of Danxia" and "first-class taste". Its mountainous terrain combines the "majesty of Mount Tai, the steepness of Mount Hua, and the beauty of Mount Emei". Langshan Mountain belongs to the subtropical humid monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 15.5°C. The forest coverage rate in the area is 78.1%, with about 1,509 species of wild plants and 210 species of wild vertebrates. Langshan Scenic Area is composed of six scenic spots: Zixia Cave, Fuyi River, Tianyi Lane, Chili Peak, Natural Bridge, and Octagonal Village. Among them, Zixia Cave Scenic Area is mainly based on Danxia landform, with more than 20 scenic spots such as Zixia Palace, Honghua Red Cliff, and Zixia Pavilion; Fuyi River Scenic Area is mainly based on Fuyi River, with scenic spots such as General Stone and Camel Peak; Tianyi Lane Scenic Area is mainly based on Tianyi Lane, with scenic spots such as Yuexian Lane and Horseshoe Lane; Chili Peak Scenic Area is mainly based on Chili Peak, with scenic spots such as Camel Peak and Candle Peak; Natural Bridge Scenic Area is mainly based on Natural Bridge, with scenic spots such as Immortal Bridge and Immortal Cave; Octagonal Village Scenic Area is mainly based on Octagonal Village, with scenic spots such as Yuntai Temple, Dragon Head Incense, and Whale Sea. Langshan Mountain has a profound historical and cultural heritage. It was established as early as the fifth year of Yuanshuo in the Western Han Dynasty. It preserves the Neolithic site more than 4,500 years ago and is related to historical events such as Emperor Shun's southern tour and Chu Yong culture.
