Hotel Pet Friendly di Jilin, China

This is my second time at Swiss Chalet and it's absolutely beautiful! You can take amazing photos everywhere, both inside and out. The famous 'blue hour' lighting of Changbai Mountain combined with the chalet makes it feel like you're in Northern Europe. Plus, there's underfloor heating and the breakfast is delicious.

I highly recommend this hotel.The room was big, hair dryer power was strong n made the hair dry up very fast. They also got laundry detergent for the guest to use too. Their customer service was very good especially for foreigners like us who did not have a Chinese local number. They will assign one person in charge for us. And if we want to play the activity, we just need to inform the PIC. He/she will send U the tickets/ QR code, if face any questions, can also drop message via WeChat. PIC will reply within the shortest time. Under the food district section, there are few nice restaurants. You can ask them to recommend their local food too. You can enjoy using clubmed onsen too. Advice to go earlier if you wish to shower and use their hair dryer. I would like to compliment our PIC '晚風'. His service is very good. Response to use very quick and he did something that touches our heart. Something happened inside our room and the technician guy had resolved.. We just gave feedback to him and although he is on his off day, he still gets his team to prepare something for us as a compensation. We did not expect this. This really shows he still cares and puts customers in first place even when he is on leave. 👍 For our PIC, '晚風'.

The hotel environment is absolutely beautiful. The lobby is tastefully decorated, with wall art that perfectly complements the overall design, clearly showing meticulous planning and execution. My room featured two very comfortable 1.2-meter beds. The bathroom, though compact, was spotless. The room also came equipped with an induction cooktop and a counter space, and the sofa in the living area was incredibly comfortable. From the balcony, you could enjoy the view, and the screened windows kept out any mosquitoes or bugs. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service with unlimited rides. The hotel breakfast was incredibly rich and varied – truly the most abundant I've ever experienced at a hotel. Just a few steps from the hotel, you'll find Qingshan Restaurant, along with small convenience stores and a pharmacy. The scenic area is also conveniently located, just a 6-7 minute walk away. The price is cheap. Affordable. The place is small, and some people say showering can soak the toilet paper. I solved that problem with a plastic bag. The internet was sometimes slow, as it's a small hotel, so we couldn't take advantage of shared data. Each floor has its own WiFi, so if other people are using it, your speed will fluctuate, sometimes even slow, and sometimes even slow. I spent ages updating my computer software, but it still timed out.

What a trip! The rooms are MASSIVE. It's essentially a full apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. The beds are extra extra large so perfect for families. For Western travellers, you may find the bed a bit hard. We were perfectly happy with it though. I personally will recommend Holiday Inn at the resort for those with kids. It's right next to the beginner tracks and that hotel hosts all the children activities and kids club. Though I don't know what the room is like. More from a location perspective. Wanda Jin Suites has 2 buildings. Best to get the 1st building as much closer to the beginner tracks and the service centre to rent ski gears. We were in the 2nd building. I will say from a location perspective, it was inconvenient for us as once you have snow boots on, it's a trek to carry your ski gears back and forth. There are lockers to put your ski gears in so we'll utilise that more next time. You do need WeChat though and if you don't have a local number, it gets difficult. If you're from Australia, just lose the 0 and add 18 at the front of your mobile number and that will get you through. But best to just get a local SIM to save you the hassle. But from a food perspective, they're right outside the building and short walk to the hot springs and the water park which is all included in the hotel fees. Including ski pass and going to the snow playground. At the snow playground, there's snowmobiles for kids to ride on amongst a lot of other activities. But that's extra money. Again, need WeChat. The hotel concierge when you check in will add you into their WeChat and you can ask them questions and they'll help you. Very convenient. It's an amazing place to come with kids. Water park is insane there and my son had a blast. The hot spring was also an amazing experience. Though very cold to get in and out of the hot springs at -20C. There are other activities outside the resort which hotel concierge will help you arrange. They can also shuttle you to the nearby village for more authentic food if you don't want to eat inside the resort. Beaware that the pharmacy at the resort does not have any ibuprofen or paracetemol. Strongly advise you get WeChat. You can book pretty much all the activities through their WeChat mini app. Including ski coaches. There are rogue ski coaches coming up to you to get business so beware. We almost got on a shuttle with a rogue coach that were gonna take us elsewhere and weren't even letting adults come (it was for the kids) and a hotel staff came up and essentially stopped them and forced them to give back the deposit. Book your coaches early. They book out quick. Particularly snowboarding. We also booked an igloo making class for our son and he had an amazing time. Though it's all in Mandarin of course. They have half day and full day camps for kids so parents can drop off and chill for the day. The staff here can barely speak English so bring your AI translator with you. We had less of a problem since I can speak Chinese but my husband often got stuck and needed me or even my son to help navigate around. Make sure you go back to the counter after returning your ski gear at the end of your stay to get your deposit back. We had an amazing time and would consider coming back.

The hotel's environment is beautiful and its design is unique, making people feel relaxed and happy. The hotel staff were very attentive, and our requests were met in a timely manner, especially Song Ge and Zhang Yue at the front desk. Their high-quality service left a deep impression on us, as well as the hotel's decoration layout, facilities and equipment. , the breakfast quality is very good, and the price/performance ratio is very high. The children's playroom on the third floor is very clean, and the garbage in the trash can is collected in a timely manner. We stayed for more than an hour, and the staff even changed the garbage bags for us once, and gave them to the children. The children like to go there very much. The choice this time also added a lot of fun to our trip. We will choose an Ascott hotel next time. It feels comfortable.

Staying at the guesthouse inside the Folk Park was absolutely fantastic! It had a charming Korean ethnic style with white walls and black tiles. The facilities were new and spotlessly clean, and the housekeeper thoughtfully provided us with a guide. In the mornings, we had the quiet park all to ourselves. There are plenty of options for travel photography within the Folk Park, with traditional costumes available for rent starting from 100 RMB, and the makeup and styling are exquisite, leading to great photos. The streets of Yanji are filled with the aroma of Korean food; the cold noodles and BBQ are authentic and incredibly satisfying. The locals are warm and friendly. The city itself is clean and well-ordered, with attractions concentrated and easily accessible by public transport. It beautifully combines ethnic charm with a vibrant local atmosphere, making it a truly healing and photogenic travel destination.

The hotel's location is easy to find, the front desk service is friendly, and the facilities are nice, but the soundproofing is terrible. The neighbor came home around 1 a.m. and was washing up so loudly I could hear it clearly from my room. Then, in the early morning, they called and cursed again, and they kept calling and cursing every hour. It was unbearable!!! They stopped calling and cursing after waking me up, and I'm so thankful!!!! The lack of sleep gave me a headache all day the next day, which was quite frustrating. The breakfast was limited in variety and looked terrible. I had a bowl of porridge and an egg and left immediately. I had originally booked three nights, but one night was enough for me, so I checked out immediately!!! I'm so scared, so scared, I'll never see you again!!! Also, as soon as I entered the room, my landline rang. A male staff member asked about my stay, etc. Please, I had just arrived and hadn't even put my bag down. Half an hour later, someone called my mobile again, asking when I'd check in, and I was already in the room. Anyway, I was speechless.

I always choose this hotel for business trips. The transportation is convenient, the breakfast is good, and the overall environment is clean and tidy! There are also many restaurants and restaurants to choose from nearby. I will come again next time!

An extremely comfortable and value for money room in Erdaobaihe, I would highly recommend friends and family to stay here. The room looks relatively new. Room was clean, bed and pillows are very comfortable and I slept very well. Toilet was very clean, well equipped and stocked, water is hot. Train station pickup/dropoff services are generously provided. Boss is helpful and service is courteous, if you need any help they will be more than happy to assist. They also provided free upgrade to my room. The hotel location is also fantastic, close to many eateries the main areas (my favourite is xinyan shaokao!). 30mins walk/5mins car to Changbaishan north visitor center
