I booked a one-bedroom deluxe suite, and the room was incredibly spacious. Besides a living room, a dining area with a kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom, it also had a separate study and another laundry room. My stay at Xigua Hotel was absolutely perfect! You can ask the front desk to help with laundry, but it's dried on the sixth-floor terrace. However, if you bring it back to your room at night, it dries completely with the air conditioning on. Great value for money! 😊 It's located right near Zhongshan Square, so you can go to Xinghai Square to feed pigeons and enjoy the sea, or head to Hai Zhi Yun Park for some hiking, sea views, and petting cats. There's also a Qiyi morning market nearby where you can grab some food, though prices are a bit higher since it's downtown.

The Guomen Hotel is right by the Broken Bridge, just a crosswalk away. It's super convenient for sightseeing, dining, and parking, and it's really quiet at night, so sleeping is no problem at all. The rooms are spotless, the staff is very polite, and the price is quite reasonable. During our trip to Dandong, we strolled along Ginkgo Avenue to admire the ginkgo trees, visited the Broken Bridge, tried some delicious Northeastern specialties, and went for a hot spring bath. There's just a set of stairs to get to the checkin area if you have heavy suitcase. I would definitely stay here again.
