The ancient city Pingyao and the Yundingxuan hotel blowed our mind. The hotel provide free pickup from the train station. We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets. The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam, With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city. I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.

房間非常乾淨，體驗了山西的土炕文化很不錯的感覺，空調洗澡水都很給力。客棧位置絕佳，在市中心，鬧中取靜，距離古城各個景點和網紅餐廳都不遠，晚上回來晚了也不會擔心安全問題。客棧老闆特別好，來之前就幫我們預訂了《又見平遙》的演出票，到了後非常熱心的幫我們指路和介紹古城風貌，還有客棧的小哥哥幫我們接送行李。每天晚上回到客棧，不管多晚，都能看到老闆在門口等我們回去，老闆説要等到所有客人都回到客棧才放心睡覺，非常負責任和暖心的一位老闆，很贊。客棧的小院子打理的乾淨衞生，可以悠閑的喝一杯功夫茶，非常放鬆。下次來平遙古城，還會選擇住在這裏的。

Really love the hotel’s a**osphere. It is cool both scenery and weather. There aren’t much noice and people around the hotel, a little walk and you will reach some of the tourist’s attraction. Some employees can speak english or if not, wechat is the best help. They also booked taxi and drop us off by the taxi, the service was wonderful. Will stay here again if there’s a chance of visiting.

My stay at the Red Lantern Inn in Pingyao was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, the owner was incredibly friendly and provided full-service hospitality. I was even greeted with a thoughtful gift of vinegar upon check-in. The hotel is unique and charming, not your typical modern hotel. The reception is located in a shop at the front, but the hotel's name is clearly displayed, making it easy to find. The directions on Trip.com were accurate, and although it’s a bit of a walk from the North Gate, it’s worth it. The atmosphere of the inn is enchanting, transporting you to old-world China. The rooms are simply designed yet very comfortable. The hotel also offers traditional costume rentals for photos, which was a fun experience. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The owner helped us arrange a bus for sightseeing and even provided a free ride to the Pingyaogucheng Railway Station, despite it being quite far. The car was spacious and comfortable. To top it all off, I experienced my first snowfall here, making my stay even more magical. I highly recommend the Red Lantern Inn to anyone visiting Pingyao. It’s a place that offers not just a stay, but an unforgettable cultural experience!

The warm and welcoming staff immediately made me feel like a valued guest. Their genuine hospitality, local insights, and willingness to go the extra mile for every request left a lasting impression. Furthermore, the central location of Delian Boutique Homestay allowed for convenient access to the town's historical sites, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the rich culture and heritage of Pingyao. I cannot speak highly enough of my stay at Delian Boutique Homestay. It exceeded all expectations and left me with cherished memories. I stayed 3 nights in this hostel. I liked it really much. I felt at home there. The owner are really kind, they speak English very well and, they are keen to chitchat with you after your day which is really nice when you are traveling alone. Also the hostel is really clean. On top of that, the hostel is nice with lot of plants. The location is great it's only 2 min walk to reach the old town. To conclude, i highly recommend this hostel in Pingyao and I would come back without any questions. Je suis resté 3 nuits dans cette auberge. Je l'ai trouvé vraiment très bien. Je m'y suis senti ”comme à la maison”. Les propriétaires sont très gentils, ils parlent très bien anglais et ils aiment discuter avec vous à la fin de votre journée, ce qui est très agréable lorsqu'on voyage seul. Également, l'auberge est très propre. De plus, l'auberge est bien décorée avec se nombreuses plantes. Enfin, l'auberge est très bien située, elle est à seulement 2 min à pied de la vieille ville. 很久沒在攜程寫點評了。1、酒店地理位置：非常便利。位於景區繁華地段，周圍都是飯店，走路到景區新開的德克士素食餐廳也就不到5分鐘。離景區公交站也很近。雖然地處繁華地段，但不臨街，這點是我非常喜歡的。2、房間乾淨，洗澡水很大，跑了一天在房間沖個熱水澡很舒服。10月底山裡夜晚已經冷了，房間暖氣很足，贊一個。3、店主甜甜是個爽朗的姑娘。標註的接送服務也都做得很到位。微信上我不懂的問題也都熱情回覆。還幫我和相識的師傅請了卡，我想到十方堂開光又開車幫我送。介紹我去的南山寺也是此行很棒的地方。5星🌟推薦

在步行街裏，距離華嚴寺和善化寺都挺近。店是在一個影樓的三樓，是一對老夫妻在經營，屋裡有電熱毯和壁暖，屋裡還有獨立的衞生間，衹是熱水需要去公共的衞生間。早上離店的時候着急走，大爺説可以把要郵寄的東西寄存在前台，快遞小哥下午才去取，店裡的服務非常好，感謝！

Wūtaishan is in itself a sacred place of pilgrimage of utter magic and life, staying in Tingfengyin Inn was an added charm of sheer care and concern. The Inn has a really sacred feeling, situated next to the Lush hills where the Bodhisattva of Wisdom impregnates his being to the core, in calm and quiet and in a traditional Chinese setting, the managers of this inn were always there to help and watch out for all sorts of needs for the pilgrim. Indeed, the spacious room, the beautiful view, to contemplate life while sipping some very good tea, to have been provided with the ample supply of drinking water, to have all the utilities one may need in the room or the washroom, to have amazingly ergonomic storage spaces, to have the possibility of having an early morning breakfast, the Inn has been excellent in providing a homely feeling to the guests, and for that I am deeply thankful.

帶着七個月寶寶帶的嬰兒用品挺多，本來擔心帶寶寶會玩兒不好，結果老闆幫忙解決了好多問題，出來接我們幫忙拿寶寶東西，晚上寶寶有點流鼻涕，老闆帶着找葯店買葯，真是太感謝了，必須好評！還有這個小院兒真是太棒了，要不是帶着寶兒不方便，真想住上一個月
