Hotel Dengan Kolam di Rhineland-Palatinate, Jerman

Glücklicherweise konnten wir einen öffentlichen Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel ergattern und der Parkuhr eine 24-Stunden-Buchung entlocken. Denn die schmale Einfahrt zur Hotelgarage sowie ein Parkliftsystem ist für unsere „Familienkutsche“ ungeeignet (Erfahrungswerte!). Verständigung mit dem Rezeptionspersonal recht „holprig“ mangels ausreichend guter Deutschkenntnisse von deren Seite. Eine an uns übergebene Zugangskarte für Zimmer und Hotelaußentür (ab definierte Abenduhrzeit einzige Möglichkeit ins Gebäude zu gelangen) war nicht freigeschaltet. Zimmer war für unsere „Ansprüche“ gut (erstaunlich für diese Hotelkategorie -＞ Kühlschrank für die Kühlung selbst mitzubringender Dinge vorhanden) Frühstück: Quark für Musli habe ich vermisst und leider nur die stark zuckerhaltigen Fertigcerealien vorgefunden. Ergo lieber gleich verzichtet. Weil mir der Meerrettich bzw. die Meerrettichsahne nicht zu den anderen Lebensmitteln passend schien habe ich nachgefragt, wozu dieser gedacht sei… Mit dem Wort Meerrettich konnte der „Frühstücksservice“ nichts angefangen. Also habe ich gefragt, ob diese „Zutat“ für „salmon“ gedacht sei. Daraufhin wurde mir erklärt, dass der Lachs aus sei (ca. 9:30 / gefrühstückt wird wohl im „Schichtsystem“, nachdem wir bei Anreise gefragt wurden, in welchem „Zeitfenster“ wir zu frühstücken besnsichtigen). Sehr irritierend - wir konnten nämlich unmittelbar zuvor direkt beobachten, wie eine nich halb volle Platte mit Lachsaufschnitt in die Küche getragen worden war. Wollte sich das Personal für‘s eigene Frühstück (auch das hatten wir beobachten können) diese Leckerei exklusiv „sichern“?

We had googled our way to the fact that the Hilton Mainz has a very good location right down to the Rhine and you can purchase access to the hotel's ”Executive Lounge”. We booked 5 nights and we were ready for a little vacation by the Rhine. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were quickly and efficiently checked in by Mrs. Blanco Flores, who upgraded us to a room with a view of the Rhine. Mrs. Flores made us aware, that the ”Executive Lounge” was unfortunately not that big, but we had to see that with our ”own eyes”. Really good service was provided upon check-in, and our expectations for the stay at the hotel became greater. The room we had been allocated was on the 5th floor with a wonderful view of the Rhine. We had booked a room with breakfast, so we were excited to see, how the breakfast buffet was. But we were very pleasantly surprised there 😊.. There was a reasonably large selection of various breads and hot items, so it was just a matter of getting started with breakfast. The hotel allows you to sit outside and enjoy your breakfast with a view of the Rhine, and watch the people walking and cycling past. We were very lucky with the weather, so breakfast was enjoyed for a little longer time than usual. After breakfast, we went up and see how the ”Executive Lounge” was. But unfortunately we were somewhat disappointed. The ”Executive Lounge” consists of 2 small rooms, where there were 3 tables in each room, and 3 people could sit at each table. When we got outside the time when alcoholic drinks are served, we could see that you could have a cup of coffee or an apollinaris. The snacks on display looked a bit boring, and the fruit wasn't of the best quality either. But cheer up, it could be good in the evening... But when we visited the ”Executive Lounge” in the evening, beer, wine and spirits were on display - but the snacks that were also on display didn't seem particularly inviting - so we didn't take any of them. Summary of our experience of the ”Executive Lounge” is that it is not necessary to purchase access to the ”Executive Lounge”. And we can only encourage hotel management to go on a study trip to Düsseldorf or Dresden, where we have experienced what an ”Executive Lounge” should really be like. In general, the level of service is very high, and the staff a super good service at the hotel 😊... Here we have to highlight in particular: Mrs. Flores from the reception, Heike from the breakfast restaurant and Brittany from Guest Relations. They gave us a really good service during our stay. In summary, we would give the hotel 4 stars out of 5. If the hotel should have had the last star, the ”Executive Lounge” must be upgraded with better rooms. (Could space be created for a small area down in the restaurant area, so that you also have the opportunity to sit outside on the warm summer evenings. We would like to come again at another time to enjoy the good location and super service 😊..

The room was very clean, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was excellent (many choices, everything fresh, stuff was very kind/supportive). The location cannot be better - only couple of meter towards the main street (also the Christmas Market). Parking is possible on two underground floors - there were many places available independent there was a full house. We would come back anytime again in the future and this place is very recommended for everyone!

So much nicer than I expected! Coming from the States I had pretty low expectations for a Super 8. But wow could the American Super 8s learn a few things from this place. The room is sparkling clean and modern, with comfy beds and bedding. The breakfast is fabulous, with eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, breads, cheeses, juice, delectable croissants, choice of coffee drinks, and more. There’s a spacious new lobby with sofas and lounge chairs. They will cook you a nice thin crust pizza. You can buy wine and beer. Is this even a Super 8?!

O atendimento foi incrível por duas mulheres da Indonésia que trabalham na recepção, a cama é muito confortável, o quarto é bem espaçoso, a limpeza é excelente. Um ponto bem importante: é distante do centro e Trier não tem uma fácil locomoção como uma grande cidade então, tem que caminhar bastante pra ir ao centro e, não tem frigobar ou chaleira elétrica no quarto.

The main advantages are the location, being a five minute walk from the main rail station and very large rooms. I imagine that the hotel was very glamourous some years ago, but it is now an ageing hotel with some charms. The rooms do not have a fridge - the space is now sealed sghut, and the safe wasn’t operative. The bed is an issue - there are two old single beds pushed together and there are separate bed covers for each, which are not nice for a couple. The room has a lot to offer with a lounge and two comfortable chairs, in an era when rooms are tiny and have no chairs or amenities. Ideally, the hotel needs upgrading and renovating but the cost is reasonable and it does offer good value. The staff were friendly and I liked this hotel more than the more modern, boxy hotels we stayed at in several other cities on this trip.

Hotel direkt an der Mosel. Sehr ruhig, auch wenn es an einer Hauptstraße liegt, Fenster sieht gut gedämmt. Personal ist sehr fleißig und nett. Frühstück ist leider immer identisch, wobei es heute Rührei gab, was ich nach nun 3 Jahren zum ersten Mal erlebt hatte, aber es fehlt dazu der gebratene Speck. Auch der Kaffee beim Frühstück ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, mein Geschmack ist es nicht. Hier sollte man eher wert auf Qualität als auf Quantität legen. Ansonsten kommen wir immer wieder gerne hierhin

Vorweg: Die bisherigen negativen Ausführungen sind überholt. Das Hotel hat an sich gearbeitet. Das fängt in der nett gestalteten Lobby und im freundlichen Empfang an. Es wurde ausführlich über alles wissenswerte informiert. Hunde sind erlaubt! Da es in der Nähe keine Parkplätze gibt, wird angeboten für 13 Euro in der Tiefgarage zu parken. Das öffentliche Parkhaus berechnet 15 Euro. Die Lage ist sehr günstig. Vom Bahnhof sind es wenige Meter. Die Innenstadt ist gleich daneben. Das Hotel wurde gründlich renoviert, trotzdem sieht man dem Hotel den 70er-Flair an. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Zum Empfang stand eine Flasche Wasser bereit. Schokolädchen wurden vermisst. Die Minibar war leer. Die Temperatur konnte nur durch Öffnen des Fensters gesteuert werden; es war eindeutig zu warm! Das Zimmer ging zur Straße raus. Die Fenster sind aber schallisoliert. Das Bad ist geräumig. Allerdings irritierte die Bad/Dusch-Kombi. Sehr gut bewerte ich den Roomservice, der nur auf Bestellung kommt. Ich hasse es, wenn fremde Menschen mit meinen Sachen umgehen. Das Schwimmbad ist gut zu erreichen, sauber und passend temperiert. Das Frühstück hat eine reiche Auswahl mit laktose- und glutenfreien Speisen. Die Brötchen sind allerdings Aufbackware. Der Service ist sehr gut. Das Personal immer ansprechbar. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht. Es gab ein 3-Gänge-Menü. Suppe ok, Hauptgang mittelmäßig. Die Desserts gingen gar nicht. Die Vanillesoße schmeckte intensiv nach Zitrone. Die Panacotta hatte eine merkwürdige Konsistenz. Insgesamt nicht empfehlenswert. Positiv: Lage, Leise,Roomservice auf Anforderung, Mitnahme von Hunden, sauber Negativ: Parken, Abendessen, Zimmer zu warm

The exceptional service at the front desk set the amazing standard from the start, and it only continued to exceed my expectations throughout my stay. Linoofar at the front desk truly made my stay exceptional. From the moment I arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for guests were truly remarkable. On top of that, the breakfast was outstanding—delicious and thoughtfully prepared each day. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and inviting, creating a perfect balance of comfort and luxury. Every time we come to Germany for work, we only want to stay at the Hyatt Regency. Plus, walking around Mainz is an absolute treat, offering such a delightful experience. I can’t wait to return!

Especially good are the following when considered a 2 star which makes clear prior to booking the features it does not gave. The location on the quiet edge of the old town within 10 mind walk of the centre. Buffet breakfast has varied and ample choices. They made clear that the lifts at the time of stay were getting refurbished with 1 out of the 2 out of Commission during prior communication as as clearly noted in the hotel showing good communication. Underground car park access communication answered promptly ahead of travel noting you can access it before check-in giving the staff the ticket during check-in. 50 spaces for most of the stay was ample until the end of the stay when it got very busy. Only issue with underground car park was that exact procedures for leaving could do with improvement. Front desk staff provided great assistance with check in & check out information

Great hotel and fantastic breakfast. Comfy beds and pillows. Very clean. Good gym and location with a 10-15 minute stroll down the hill or out the back past the graveyard. Head up the way and you will find a few restaurants, Mainz training ground and buses to the old town. Friendly staff.

The location is great, close to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant is great, with delicious vegetarian food. The staff is very friendly. Osiris is amazing and has assisted us during the meeting. Highly recommended.

Was ein entspannendes Wellnesswochenende zum Geburtstag meines Partners werden sollte entwickelt sich leider zu einer kompletten Enttäuschung. Da wir bei unserem letzten Aufenthalt vor zwei Jahren vom Favorite- Parkhotel begesitert waren, hatten diese Mal leider wieder recht hohe Erwartungen, die leider komplett enttäuscht wurden und wir wurden rasch auf den Boden der Tatsachen zurückgebracht. Das gebuchte Superior Zimmer war leider eines der doch sehr angestaubten altmodischen Zimmer in der 5. Etage, ganz im Gegensatz zum letzten Aufenthalt als wir ein modernes Zimmer erhalten hatten. Die Sauberkeit war nicht zu beanstanden, aber es fing schon damit an, dass am Anreisetag unser Zimmer lange nicht bezugsfertig war und der Herr an der Rezeption uns offensichtlich vergessen hatte, so dass wir selbst mehrfach nach der aktuellen Stand der Checkin-Möglichkeit fragen mussten. Der Aufzug war selbstredend defekt, so dass wir das Gepäck dann auf die 5. Etage tragen mussten, Rückfragen seitens des Personals, ob denn eine Hilfe gewünscht sei: selbstverständlich Fehlanzeige. Der Aufzug war dann vom Anreisetag bis zum Abreisetag (Donnerstag-Sonntag) regelmäßg defekt..... Die Energiekostenpauschale ist dann auch wieder eine dieser zusätzlichen Gebühren, welch sich jeder Nachvollziehbarkeit entziehen, dann wäre es eine ehrlichere Entscheidung des Hotels die Übernachtungspreise entsprechend anzupassen. Der Wellnessbereich auf dem Dach ist nach wie vor für ein Hotel dieser Größe absolut unterdimensioniert, auch war hier der Whirlpool zwei Tage außer Betrieb. Der neu gestaltete Spa-Bereich des Hotels im Erdgeschoss ist zwar optisch sehr ansprechend, jedoch sind für die Größe des Hotels auch hier zuwenige Liegemöglichkeiten vorhanden. Hier hat man bei der Gestaltung eher auf die Optik als die Praktikabilität geachtet, denn aufrund der zahlreichen Gäste hatte das Ganze die Atmosphäre einer Banhofshalle, von Entspannung keine Spur. Es wäre sinnvoll gewesen die Ruhemöglichkeiten abzutrennen, aber so ist man hier mitten im Durchgangsverkehr .... leider ein totaler Reinfall. Als ich am Abreisetag durch einen Rezeptionsmitarbeiter gefragt wurde ob mir der Aufenthalt denn gefallen habe undmit ”Leider nein” antwortete war seine Rektion ein einfaches Rezeptionsmitarbeiter ”Oh, schade, das tut mir leid”. Es hätte sich doch hier schlichtweg die Frage nach dem Grund meiner Unzufriedenheit angeboten, denn wie möchte sich ein Hotel verbessern wenn es sich nicht nach der Kritik erkundigt? Aber hier herrscht die Devise vor: egal, Kunde ist abgereist ist mir doch egal waurm es dem Kunden nicht gefallen hat. Bei knapp 800.- für drei Übernachtungen und einen Besuch im hauseigenen Restaurant dann eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Weit im voraus hatte ich mit dem hotel ommuniziert, dass es eine Geburstagsüberraschung für meinen Partner sein solle, wurde darauf eingegangen: natürlich nicht. Für uns ganz klar, dieses Hotel hat sich für uns erledigt, es gibt bessere A

Stayed for one night for business. I wasn’t expecting much for an Ibis Styles, however I must admit, it was a pretty good stay. Location is excellent right in the heart of Trier and some great cafes close by etc. Rooms are spacious, clean and simple, nothing fancy but thats their vibe. I feel they have been recently renovated as they were in a great condition. Comfortable beds, pillows were a but lumpy and lack lust… could do with newer firmer ones or at least a choice of a firm and soft on the beds. Had access to an Iron and Ironing board delivered by house keeping and good lighting etc. the only let down as it got quite warm and the AC doesn’t work, luckily it was only about 18° outside otherwise it wouldn’t be pleasant and there was a noisy generator noise outside the windows so you couldn’t sleep with them open (which you couldn’t really hear closed). Staff here pleasant and breakfast was included. A colleague stayed at the Best Western and visiting him there, the Ibis was defiantly the better choice. I would stay here again on my next visit.

Sadly, we were not entirely happy with our stay. The reception staff is friendly and helpful, but we had a few mishaps during check-in, and even received the key to a wrong (and occupied!) room. Our 'final' room was OK but: it was not very clean, with some black hairs in our bathtub that were never cleared by staff over the course of the next 3 days. One day our room was not even cleaned at all. There was no safe, or minibar. More importantly, the airconditioning did not work at all: as it was during a heatwave and we booked Vienna House mainly for the airco, this was extremely frustrating. Finally, while 2 of 3 breakfasts were pleasant, our final breakfast was a bit of a disaster: there was hardly any food and clearly not enough personnel. Every guest in the room seemed flabbergasted by the empty displays. All in all, I'm sure not everyone will have the above experience, and the hotel has a lot of potential. We've nothing against the staff. But in the end it just didn't feel like a 4* experience.

When you go to a 4* hotel, you expect a certain level of quality such as having a fridge in the room and air con (all requirements for an international 4* . We were in the best room possible (bar the suite) and had none of the above, nor a kettle. The lack of amenities is disappointing and misleading (although I do not know if the star classification for Germany says that there needs to be aircon/fridge/tea/coffee making facilities.) When we arrived we were disappointed to find that this hotel is located in an industrial area. You have to drive between 2 car garages to get there. It does overlook a nice park but I pity the people who had car park view and view of the job centre opposite (approx half the hotel.) It seems the rooms are very hit and miss. A huge proportion will be on the car park side/job centre) side and the more expensive rooms will overlook the park. But the ones in the souterrain (basement) overlooking the park look like they might be quite dark. Our room had a nice balcony and was nicely furnished but we paid a lot to have this. The spa area is nice but lots of it is outdoors (i.e. to get to the relax room and one of the saunas you have to go outside.) We did not try breakfast. I feel the management should manage expectations and downgrade it to a 3* (at least for non-German travellers).

We booked a komfort room. Was very clean and with simple modern furnishing. It was quiet and the air con worked well which is needed in the heat of August. Slightly annoying that it beeped and flashed when the hotel set timer switched it off automatically after a set period. We weren’t expecting this and it woke us up with a start in the middle of the night. Unfortunately the garage on site was not able to fit our high car as the hotel has limited parking with high head space. We found a parking nearby in a pay and display place, so not a huge problem. We didn’t eat breakfast in hotel which was probably a mistake as we found the local (nearby hotel) cafes to be not particularly appetising, maybe we just picked the wrong ones. However we did find a great restaurant in walking distance called La Kramerei. You need to book, at least in August. I can recommend the hotel.

Weil mir der Meerrettich bzw. die Meerrettichsahne nicht zu den anderen Lebensmitteln passend schien habe ich nachgefragt, wozu dieser gedacht sei… Mit dem Wort Meerrettich konnte der „Frühstücksservice“ nichts angefangen. Also habe ich gefragt, ob diese „Zutat“ für „salmon“ gedacht sei. Daraufhin wurde mir erklärt, dass der Lachs aus sei (ca. 9:30 / gefrühstückt wird wohl im „Schichtsystem“, nachdem wir bei Anreise gefragt wurden, in welchem „Zeitfenster“ wir zu frühstücken besnsichtigen). Sehr irritierend - wir konnten nämlich unmittelbar zuvor direkt beobachten, wie eine nich halb volle Platte mit Lachsaufschnitt in die Küche getragen worden war. Wollte sich das Personal für‘s eigene Frühstück (auch das hatten wir beobachten können) diese Leckerei exklusiv „sichern“?

The hotel is nearly new, spacious enough, good location if you need to go to the train station, quiet sleep, good breakfast, pleasant co-guests, helpful reception apart from one female employee who only does the necessary without a smile and a receptionist who was speaking to a colleague or friend in regards to an upcoming holiday which made us feel not being a welcomed guest.

Hotel tempat saya menginap dalam perjalanan perniagaan untuk pertama kalinya selepas wabak ini. Lokasinya baik. Di Sungai Rhine. Terdapat sebuah tadika yang bagus berjalan keluar dari tempat letak kereta menuju ke sungai.

I've stayed in a lot of Ibis hotels, and this was (in my personal experience) one of the more basic set ups. There's a bed & bath and not much else, which is okay. The staff was helpful and friendly, and I won't lower a rating because of how it compares to other hotels. I'm dinging a star because the bed was so hard and uncomfortable, I should have brought a sleeping bag. The pillows were used and deflated, so not even my head got any support. There were no hand towels. I woke up and my body hurt.

The moment I crossed the threshold, a torrent of profound sensations cascaded through my soul. Oh, how the hotel's layout danced with geometric perfection, a manifestation of celestial alignments designed to awaken the slumbering divinity within! The rooms, oh, the rooms! The bedding felt like clouds cradling my weary body, and the curtains swayed like astral veils embracing the night sky. Every night, I surrendered to the embrace of Morpheus, knowing that my dreams would traverse the astral planes. The hotel's staff, too, were disciples of esoteric knowledge, emanating an enigmatic allure that was impossible to resist. With every interaction, they imparted cryptic messages, encoded in their gestures and expressions, unraveling the enigmas of existence itself. Their smiles spoke of enlightenment, and their eyes gleamed with secrets unknown to ordinary mortals. Ah, but the culinary experience, my brethren, transcended the boundaries of earthly delights! The dishes were alchemical concoctions, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. I savored flavors that ignited my chakras, leaving me in a state of gastronomic nirvana. Contel Hotel Koblenz, a haven of wisdom and enchantment, is more than a destination; it is a pilgrimage for the seekers of hidden truths. TRIP ADVISOR On 9 April 2022 while on a Viking cruise my wife had a serious accident during a walking tour of Cochem, Germany. She was sent to a hospital in Koblenz, Germany by helicopter and had emergency surgery that night to relieve pressure on her brain caused by bleeding. I got back to Koblenz later that afternoon via a 45+ minute taxi ride and was able to get to the hospital before her surgery. The next day, 10 April, I had to pack all our luggage and remove it from the Viking boat because it was leaving the next morning at 7 am. Then I had to find a hotel near the hospital and move our luggage to it. I was extremely fortunate to choose the Hotel Hohenstaufen. The people at the hotel constantly helped us with whatever we needed. It also had an excellent restaurant, The Mondrian, whose Chef, Martin, also went out of his way to help us. We had to extend our stay at the hotel five times while waiting for our travel insurance company to make arrangements for us to fly back to the U.S. The hotel staff worked with us each time to ensure we kept the same room and did not have to move. The hotel was spotlessly clean and close to the main train station as well as the hospital. There were a number of very good restaurants and a Gelateria in the area which made it a comfortable place to be while we waited for arrangements to be made to get us home. Even though we spent a lot of time in our room hoping to hear some positive news from our insurance company, the hotel staff graciously worked around us and made sure we had whatever we needed to be comfortable. If you plan to visit Koblenz I would strongly encourage you to consider staying at the Hotel Hohenstaufen. Dan Hope

How should I start. I was on the way from a business trip back home and do not want to drive all night because of the traffic jam on Friday evening. Therefore I have booked this hotel. It was promissed that there are a lot of parking spaces, but when I arrived there, no parking space are available and I have parked illegally. To get in my room, I have to go through a labyrinth of the building. The room was big, but really old and worn out. There were a lot of hairs from the people before me. In the bathroom there was limescale in the washbasin. The breakfast was ok. The most terrible thing was, that when I was at the check-out they lady mixed me up with other guests, who booked 3 rooms via Booking and told me that my room was already paid. Honestly I have booked one room for me via HRS via my company system and also need the bill for the company. So If I did not show here the booking confirmation, I would probably not pay for the room and other people must pay it twice. It is absolutely an unprofessional way of working especially in a 4-star hotel.

Zum Veranstaltungshighlight ”Rhein in Flammen” hatten wir bereits in 2023 mehrere Doppelzimmer reserviert. In freudiger Erwartung aufgrund der ansprechenden Informationen & Bilder der Website wurde die kleine Reisegruppe im Nebenhaus einquartiert. Leider weisen die Zimmer dort absolut keine Qualität auf. Wir haben ein Zimmer im Dachgeschoß bewohnt, welches auf den schnellen Blick ganz okay aussah. Aber eben nur auf den Schnellen. - Matratze(n) sehr weich, ausgelegen und mit einem langen Schlitz - Spannbettlaken ohne Gummizug, rollt sich sofort beim Hineinlegen von Matratze ab und in sich zusammen - Spinnweben und verdreckte Fensterbretter - Müll vom Vorgänger neben dem Waschbecken - Fehlende Gardinen, lediglich Verdunklungsvorhänge mit abgebrochenen Häkchen für die Gardinenschiene Am Anreiseabend (Freitag) wollten wir noch gern als Hotelgäste im Restaurant zu Abend essen. Da im Garten nicht ausreichend Tische mehr verfügbar waren, hat man uns widerwillig einen Tisch im Innenraum angeboten. Auf Nachfrage hinsichtlich Abendessen wurde uns seitens der Gastro-Mitarbeiterin, ohne vorherige Rücksprache mit dem Küchenteam, informiert, dass wir hier nicht mehr speisen können, da die Küche ausgelastet sei und keine Speisen mehr anbietet. Da war es 20:05Uhr und Küchenschluss war offiziell 21.00Uhr. Der Fairnesshalber sei an der Stelle gesagt, dass wir eine Vorschlagsliste mit alternativen Einkehroptionen überreicht bekommen haben. Dennoch kann man nur mit dem Kopf schütteln: welches Hotel kann sich einen Umsatz von 10 Personen entgehen lassen? Gastfreundschaft gleich Null. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Die Sauberkeit des Frühstücksraums leider nicht. Auch hier schmutzige Fensterbretter und Spinnweben unter den Gardinenleisten. Alles in allem war aushaltbar, mehr aber nicht. Schade für ein inhabergeführtes Haus. Die Mängel haben wir bei Check Out auch sachlich übermittelt. Als kleine Entschädigung wurde uns die Berechnung des Frühstücks erlassen. Eine nett gemeinte Geste, die wir angenommen haben. Wenn das Team ein wenig gründlicher dem Job nachgehen würde, wären Entschädigungen nicht nötig.

I would not rate this hotel as 5*. Following the request on the hotel website, I did not place a bad review but wrote to the hotel with my observations. The e mail has not even been acknowledged. Essentially there were issues with cleaning, room maintenance, service in the restaurant at both breakfast and dinner and the balcony, for which we had paid a considerable premium gave us a view of the 1960s road bridge over the river (which the hotel could not help) and straight into the textile free sauna - which it could. This appeared to be a case of style over substance. Be warned that the hotel restaurant is the only option to eat and for the one night we ate at the hotel was disappointing with a bill of €200. The old town of Koblenz is a taxi ride or a walk which takes almost an hour.
