Hotel Dengan Pools di Gifu Prefecture, Japan

Although we couldn't choose our room, we got a riverside, high-floor room with an amazing view! The pool and breakfast were also excellent. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time.

The assigned room was not the one I booked. Instead of East Wing with a mountain view, I got assigned to South Wing, not sure if it is a mountain view but definitely not what I expected (I will attach a photo). But generally, I still had a fantastic experience there. The location is great for me because it is near Shinhotaka Ropeway. The open air onsen was beautiful, I liked it a lot, and went every night. The food was fantastic too! I am not well versed with Japanese food culture, but basically it was the traditional course meal (only dinner) you probably will have in a decent Japanese restaurant. I am a vegetarian, the hotel is prepared for my diet every breakfast and dinner. I must say I am really amazed with their food culture and knife skill. Their front desk was helpful with my needs too like a nail cutter, plaster etc.

Beautiful traditional Property! The property had plenty of onsen baths available and also has a private Bath you could book for ¥3300. There is also a swimming pool with the bathwater. The hotel is very child friendly and has an arcade with games and claw machines. Recommend to bring cash so you can play the games in the arcade to entertain the kids. The property is very convenient within a three minute walking distance from the train station. There is also a free shuttle bus that will pick up / drop off passengers from the train station once you get out of Gero train station it is directly there it takes less than 1 minute to drive to the property very convenient if we have a lot of luggage.

Everything was wonderful! The room had its own private plunge pool, and there were two outdoor hot springs that you could reserve for your group to enjoy without anyone else around. Dinner and breakfast were served in a traditional Japanese style, which felt very authentic. What really sets this ryokan apart is that the main dish for dinner is Hida beef from the region. The service was top-notch; everyone was so welcoming and kind. After checking in, you change into traditional attire, and the hotel provides everything else, right down to facial cream. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

the place is famous, for thailand theater shows, foods in many varieties but cant say good. when we check in we are greet by a front desk clerk,with no smile, and tired face.and since i was a foreigner but good in japanese, communication did not go so well though he is not nice explaning everything. but the foreigners workin there is so nice. the ofuro is good but can say not what we expect. in the morning we check out staff were all good and smiling.

I stayed here on a solo trip to hike the Nakasendo trail. The hotel offers a shuttle bus from the station, which made getting around very convenient. I booked a meal-inclusive plan, and both breakfast and dinner were served in a private room. All I had to do was show up at the designated time. The food was delicious! 😋 The room was clean, and being nestled in the mountains, it was wonderfully quiet with fresh air. 👍 The hot spring was also perfect for soothing my tired legs after hiking. Plus, for a hot spring ryokan, the value for money is excellent! I'd love to stay here again. Highly recommend! ❗️

The old town was close by, which was great for a leisurely stroll. The hotel has two baths, and the one upstairs had an open-air bath, which was lovely. There was a wide variety of shampoos and conditioners to choose from. The shower pressure was also strong and comfortable. For dinner, we were served Hida beef, and the impressive kaiseki meal was truly amazing. Breakfast was a buffet with local specialties, and it was genuinely delicious. All the staff were smiling and very kind. The 'Sarubo-chan' (monkey mascot) that greeted us was so cute (o^^o). Although it was a bit spread out and moving around was a bit of a trek, it's a hotel I'd love to stay at again! 😊

Amazing service and glamping experience. Highligh recommended. Peaceful and relaxing. Dinner table is set and entrees prepared fresh, main course is cooked ourselves on the prepared BBQ!
