The Baiyun Hotel (Baiyun Binguan) is located in the Tianhai Scenic Area of Huang Shan, China's famous "Yellow Mountain". Surrounded by soaring peaks and wistful pines, this mountaintop hotel backs onto Bright Summit, one of the best spots to witness the majestic sight of the sun rising over the misty mountains. It's a sight that is well worth the early start, and the morning chill is alleviated by thick down jackets available to all guests.The hotel is built in traditional Hui style with rustic but cozy wood-lined "eco" rooms. More traditional-style options are available, many of which offer exceptional mountain views. All guestrooms feature high-speed broadband Internet access, satellite TVs, mini-bars and in-room safes.Dining options on Huang Shan are limited to hotels and snack stalls with the Baiyuan Hotel's restaurant offering a range of Chinese and Western options. Other facilities include a small shop and a business center for those all-important emails, but really Huang Shan is all about the magnificent scenery and a mountain-top stay is the perfect way to enjoy it to the max.
"An absolute haven for weary travelers! From the moment I arrived, the exceptional care and attention to detail from the staff completely melted away the exhaustion of a long journey.
Check-in was seamless, and I was warmly greeted with thoughtful welcome gifts, along with a wonderful selection of complimentary snacks and refreshing drinks that instantly revived me. The hospitality didn’t stop there—having access to discounted meals at the on-site dining made unwinding after a long day effortless and comforting.
The room itself was immaculately clean, wonderfully quiet, and featured a bed that provided the most restorative sleep I’ve had in weeks. Every amenity felt tailored for ultimate relaxation and comfort.
What truly sets this accommodation apart, however, is the outstanding management and service team. The service manager provided clear, prompt, and helpful information throughout my stay, and any minor feedback I shared was acknowledged and acted upon almost immediately. It’s rare to find a place that combines such high standards of cleanliness with genuine, proactive hospitality that genuinely looks after the wellbeing of its guests.
I cannot recommend this place enough and am already looking forward to my next stay!"

ZhuangdieThe room was clean and tidy, and we had a view of Lotus Peak and Aoyu Peak from the window. What truly deserves praise is their thoughtfulness: the room was equipped with umbrellas, a flashlight, warm outerwear, and even a foot-soaking tub. After a full day of hiking, having that was incredibly considerate!
As soon as we arrived, the customer service representative added us on WeChat. Any questions we had were answered and addressed very quickly. Even more thoughtful, they would proactively inform us about sunset times, the best viewing spots, how long it would take to get there, and sunrise times. They even organized groups with a lead guide to take people to watch the sunrise!
The buffet dinner was also quite good. The ambiance was pleasant, there was a wide variety of dishes, and the taste was excellent. It was the best meal I had on Huangshan, definitely worth recommending!

Xiaoliyaoshoudao90jinFirst of all, the hotel's location is excellent, right next to the ticket gate, and across the street from the core temple complex of Jiuhua Mountain. The temples are just steps away, making worshipping Buddha incredibly convenient! There's a direct bus to Huatai right outside the hotel, and the shuttle bus stop is just a minute or two's walk uphill, making it perfect for families with children and elderly members—no walking required.
I must commend the hotel front desk staff on the morning of May 4th. When I checked out that morning, I left my jacket with my car keys in my room. I had already boarded the shuttle bus to Huatai, so I immediately called the front desk. The staff promptly went to my room, found my jacket and car keys, and placed them on the next shuttle bus to Huatai. I'm so grateful!!!

XixuexueThe best decision I made on this trip was choosing this B&B! It completely exceeded my expectations; the actual place is even better than the photos. The location is very convenient, offering a quiet escape despite being in a bustling area. Every detail in the room showcases the owner's taste, from the quality of the furniture to the lighting of the bedside lamp, everything felt incredibly comfortable. The bedding was also very carefully chosen; even I, someone who usually has trouble sleeping in new places, slept wonderfully. Plus, the entire B&B is very photogenic; every snap turns out like a magazine shot.
The owner (landlady) and the front desk staff were incredibly nice, everyone at the B&B was friendly and welcoming! The breakfast at the B&B was especially delicious, and you can also order lunch and dinner there. They offer noodles and home-cooked dishes, prepared by local aunties, and they're much tastier than what you'd find in outside restaurants – absolutely no regrets. I highly recommend this place to anyone who values quality accommodation!

Located on the back mountain, the room wasn't huge, but the service was excellent – they were very responsive to all our requests. We had both the lunch buffet and breakfast, and the food was good. The sunrise and sea of clouds probably aren't as impressive as from Bright Summit. Unfortunately, due to heavy fog this time, we couldn't see anything. There was an evening performance. Huangshan is incredibly tough to climb; it's constant ups and downs over mountains and ridges, leaving my legs aching. The West Sea monorail only offered standing tickets. Taking the Yuping cable car up is the classic route, passing by the Greeting Pine, Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder, and either Aoyu Cave or One-Line-Sky to reach Aoyu Peak, then continuing to Bright Summit. For someone nearing fifty, just looking at the route feels challenging. The weather in Huangshan changes rapidly; one moment it was clear blue skies, and the next, dense fog rolled in.

Guest UserThis guesthouse is located right inside the scenic area, making it super convenient for resting after an evening stroll. The decor is charmingly traditional, perfectly complementing the Huizhou architectural style. The guesthouse itself feels like an integral part of the scenic area, featuring a garden restaurant and a coffee bar where you can even pet cats. The owner is fantastic, offering luggage pickup and drop-off services right from the bus station. It's a highly recommended place to stay.

Guest UserI came for the location to catch a sunset and sunrise over huangshan and the hotel is perfect for that. The cozy solo room had everything I needed and a nice view to top it up. The hotel is super confortable and provides everything you need including warm jackets and torchlight for sunset / sunrise viewing (meaning you don't need to bring any of it with you on the mountain, I wish I had asked before). The concierges were super helpful and gave me advice for sunset /sunrise viewing (the hotel also provide the local weather forecast including time, visibility probability and sea cloud probablity), all of which less than 20 minutes away from the hotel. I was to catch both and then come back to the hotel for dinner / breakfast (both of which were very good with a wide variety of dishes). Everything (room and dinner) was pricier than in other cities but given the location at the summit and the benefits of enjoying the mountain late afternoon and early morning without the huge crowds of the day, it was worth every single euro and allowed me not to rush the trip.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, purely because of its location. For its spot, the amenities still offer great value for money. However, this time I booked a king room and was given one facing the street. My much-anticipated holiday, a relaxing mountain escape in southern Anhui, was ruined by a night of noise. I understand that the Yellow Mountain entrance/exit sees a lot of traffic, but the reality is I didn't sleep a wink. I'd suggest upgrading the windows on the street-facing side to high-standard, soundproof ones – it would make a real difference. The breakfast selection also seemed a bit limited. Overall though, it's still consistently good and remains one of the top-tier options in this town. These are my honest thoughts, hope they're helpful.

Junjun618Banyan Tree, as always, lives up to its excellent reputation. The service is top-notch, the environment is spotless, and they cater to your every need! Upon arriving at Banyan Tree, the welcome ceremony after getting out of the car was very distinctive of Huizhou. The fermented glutinous rice wine was also delicious and not too sweet. A waitress in the dinner restaurant was absolutely wonderful – always smiling, taking orders, and providing service that was incredibly professional. She truly deserves commendation! We dined at the dinner restaurant for two consecutive evenings, and she served us both times. Her service was impeccable in every aspect, making guests feel very well taken care of. She definitely adds value to Banyan Tree! The hotel's photography service was also excellent; the service was great, the technique was superb, and they were very polite. The photographer was of high caliber, enduring the heat without any complaints, taking fantastic photos for guests from all angles! Upon checking out, we were even given a special Huizhou gift 🎁. It was truly a perfect stay! Fantastic!

Guest UserThe room was nice, the service was great. The lady boss invited us to drink tea, she has her own tea garden, we drank Taiping Houkui, it was good! We were lucky this time in Huangshan, we saw the beautiful Huangshan, my daughter and son liked it, the fish in the boss's house was very fresh, the food was refreshing, we ate at the boss's house! I will come again if I have a chance

LuoyutianqingComfortable stays and delicious food are already the least noteworthy things about Shuguangli. This is the first review I've ever actively written, and unlike the perfunctory ones requested by other hotels, every sentence comes from the heart. Every butler at Shuguangli is incredibly warm and thoughtful. They remember even casual remarks and surprise you at unexpected moments. We originally planned for one night on the mountaintop, but after experiencing the warmth of Shuguangli, we decisively extended our stay for another night and even invited our friends from downhill to join us. The butlers try their best to fulfill every request; their common refrain is, ”Just let us know if you need anything at all.” I must also specially mention two unique butlers, the cat Yun Dou and the dog Yun Bao, who also warm every guest with Shuguangli's hospitality. I'm already looking forward to reuniting with the 'family' here, probably in winter~
