Hotel Romantic di Hunan, China

Very friendly and warm staff throughout our stay. We were served by Mr Yang, who was patient and extremely accommodating. He carefully checked our requests on the booking platform and made sure everything was arranged just as we wanted. Breakfast had a good variety, and the staff there were attentive and kind, making the experience even more pleasant. Upon check-out, Ms Jessie thoughtfully offered me some local tea as a souvenir, which was a lovely gesture. She also provided useful information about the surrounding area and the national park, along with maps to help us plan. Mr Chen, a very courteous gentleman, assisted us during check-out smoothly. I’d also like to mention a kind lady at breakfast (Ms L—unfortunately I didn’t catch her full name) who was very helpful. Overall, the location is excellent, and they provide free luggage storage. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from all the staff.

An Instagramable hotel with good service and location. Spacious room with chic deco. However, the mattress is too hard for a comfortable sleep. Besides, the noise (dog barking, car horn ,etc) can be heard especially for rooms facing the road. Breakfast spread is acceptable, with spread mostly to the local favour. The night shift staff can help with the laundry if the dryer or washing machines are in use. Old Taiping St, Pozi pedestrian St, Huangxin pedestrian st, IFS, and Wuyi sq are within 1 km radius. Wuyi station Line 2 is about 400m away. The nearest shopping centre is Wanda Plaza less than 200m away. There's a massage centre on 4th floor to soothes your tired legs. Overall, we are happy with our stay. Thanks to Xiao Jun & Xiao Meng for their good services.

Great experience in this hotel. Location was perfect too! And hotel allowed us to leave our huge luggage behind for 1 night since we went to zhangjiajie and fenghuang and impossible for us to drag our luggage there. Near the lift to the metro station just outside the hotel and got McDonald’s as well. Perfect for us to have breakfast from before going airport

Honestly one of the better hotels I've stayed at since first visiting China in 2006. Very clean, excellent quality, incredible views of the Xiang Jiang river. A little bit expensive by local standards but honestly worth it. I absolutely would recommend staying here if its in your budget.

Value for money. Location is near city centre and just 5 min from metro so convenient to get around. Room inclusive of buffet breakfast . Originally was worried if the rooms will be old but turn out pretty well. Reception staff were all friendly. I requested late check out due to train schedule but the receptionist on duty told me to request next morning. Before I could request again, someone contacted me to offer late checkout. The service team seamless handover was superb! specially shoutout to the room attendant that cleaned our room. The room was clean, tidy and smell good. She even cleaned our spectacles and wrote a small note. What a personal touch that I did not expect of the hotel given the room rate was affordable. Will definitely be back if I visit Changsha again!

Location is super. In front of nanmenkou station, exit 2. Behind the block is the morning market. Opposite the road is the nanmen night market and (end) of huangxing walking street. Room is comfortable and cosy. Would choose this hotel again next time

I ordered food late at night and there was no robot to deliver it to the room, so I called the front desk if they could bring it to the room. They refused and told me to get it myself. After going to the lobby I see the receptionist talking to the assistant, both of them are clearly not busy. Sure, I can get the food myself but when I'm paying the price for an Intercontinental hotel I would expect top tier service. And I've had hotel assitants bring the food to my room in chinese hotels that costs less than half the price of this one. Besides that, the hotel looked nice, and the room was good. The location is not really great if you plan to walk anywhere, but with a taxi it's acceptable. The view is pretty good if your room is facing south. Facing north (even with river view) it's not that spectacular.

The cleanliness ad aesthetic was top-notch, from the lobby to the room. Everything felt fresh, tidy and well-maintained. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to help. Despite having hotel robots for convenience, they never hesitated to personally help with delivering parcels or food, when the hotel robots were busy, which made the experience feel warm and human. Another plus point is that you can add them on WeChat for easy communication, enquiries, requests or arranging deliveries— quite convenient and efficient. Definitely recommended!

Overall, it was good for me. The room type that we chose is just standard for us. The lady from the front office actually recommended that we can upgrade the room as we brought 4 big pieces of luggage, but we were okay with the one we booked. If you arrived earlier, you can actually store your luggage in the hotel earlier. I don’t have the picture of the place and my room, but I guess this is a refurbished apartment that has been turned into a hotel/inn. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes right below the apartment. The food and drinks here are delicious and nice. The lady from the front office was friendly too!
