Very friendly and warm staff throughout our stay. We were served by Mr Yang, who was patient and extremely accommodating. He carefully checked our requests on the booking platform and made sure everything was arranged just as we wanted. Breakfast had a good variety, and the staff there were attentive and kind, making the experience even more pleasant. Upon check-out, Ms Jessie thoughtfully offered me some local tea as a souvenir, which was a lovely gesture. She also provided useful information about the surrounding area and the national park, along with maps to help us plan. Mr Chen, a very courteous gentleman, assisted us during check-out smoothly. I’d also like to mention a kind lady at breakfast (Ms L—unfortunately I didn’t catch her full name) who was very helpful. Overall, the location is excellent, and they provide free luggage storage. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from all the staff.

An Instagramable hotel with good service and location. Spacious room with chic deco. However, the mattress is too hard for a comfortable sleep. Besides, the noise (dog barking, car horn ,etc) can be heard especially for rooms facing the road. Breakfast spread is acceptable, with spread mostly to the local favour. The night shift staff can help with the laundry if the dryer or washing machines are in use. Old Taiping St, Pozi pedestrian St, Huangxin pedestrian st, IFS, and Wuyi sq are within 1 km radius. Wuyi station Line 2 is about 400m away. The nearest shopping centre is Wanda Plaza less than 200m away. There's a massage centre on 4th floor to soothes your tired legs. Overall, we are happy with our stay. Thanks to Xiao Jun & Xiao Meng for their good services.

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable, the staff was friendly (especially Grace 李芬) and they picked up and cleaned my laundry from my room every day. Their gym had a free barbell and around 100kg in weights, as well as a Smith machine and some pull-up bars, so you can get a decent workout. Breakfast was good though often quite crowded with no place to sit, but I was there during the spring festival. Commute is easy with the metro 5 line just a minute walk away. McDonald's also a minute's walk away. Highly recommended and would stay there again.

Ini adalah penginapan terbaik kami sepanjang percutian Tahun Baru Cina ini. Lokasi hotel sangat strategik. Kami menempah bilik twin dengan pemandangan sungai tetapi telah dinaik taraf ke bilik keluarga di tingkat tinggi, yang menawarkan pemandangan langsung ke Pulau Juzizhou dan Gunung Yuelu. Biliknya sangat luas, katilnya juga besar, dan kemudahan bilik mandi juga lengkap. Pemandangan malam juga sangat cantik. Satu-satunya kekurangan adalah tempat letak kereta hotel agak terhad. Di belakang hotel adalah Jalan Taiping, dan ia juga berdekatan dengan Jalan Pozi, Jalan Chaozong, dan Dataran Wuyi, dengan pelbagai kedai makan. Kali terakhir saya datang ke Changsha adalah lebih sepuluh tahun yang lalu. Jalan Taiping sekarang sangat berbeza, dengan suasana jalan komersial yang terlalu popular di media sosial, tetapi masakan Hunan dan udang kara masih sangat lazat. Sarapan di hotel ini juga sangat baik, setanding dengan restoran bufet di luar, dengan pelbagai pilihan dan rasa yang enak. Kali seterusnya saya datang, saya pasti akan menginap di sini lagi.

Great place to stay with its locality close to the subway station. We found the room to be equivalent to 5 star rating such as Sofitel & Pullman. The hotel provides excellent breakfast varieties that even Pullman hotel cannot match. The house keeping Ms. Hu exceeded our expectations by wiping and disinfecting our luggages, which was much appreciated after 2 weeks of travel in China. They also provide free self service laundry services, if required on level 5. The only downside we found is it is not a smoke-free hotel. You can smell the smoke odour as soon as you walk into the lobby. This applies to the room too. It really depends on your luck if smoker is on the same floor as at times I can smell smoke via the ventilation. For the hotel to achieve International standard, it needs to be a smoke-free hotel, for the sake of other hotel guests and their employee's health.

Starting with the downsides: if this is your first time in China, the hotel can be a bit difficult to find since it is located on the 5th floor of a building, so it takes some time to locate. There was also a noticeable cigarette smell in the room, likely due to the local smoking culture. If you are sensitive to smoke, turning on the air conditioner helps with ventilation. What really impressed me was the room design. The rooms are beautifully decorated, each with its own unique style, and some offer nice views. The room was very comfortable, both the bed and the bathroom, making it a great place to relax. The staff were very helpful and did their best to communicate. My partner accidentally left an ID card behind, and the hotel kept it safely for us, which I really appreciated. We originally planned to stay for just one night, but ended up staying two nights because the place felt so comfortable. The location is excellent. Right downstairs is a nearby subway station, and within a short walk you’ll find a pedestrian street, a market, and plenty of street food options all around. Very lively and convenient. If I had friends visiting Changsha, this would be the first hotel I would recommend.

I ordered food late at night and there was no robot to deliver it to the room, so I called the front desk if they could bring it to the room. They refused and told me to get it myself. After going to the lobby I see the receptionist talking to the assistant, both of them are clearly not busy. Sure, I can get the food myself but when I'm paying the price for an Intercontinental hotel I would expect top tier service. And I've had hotel assitants bring the food to my room in chinese hotels that costs less than half the price of this one. Besides that, the hotel looked nice, and the room was good. The location is not really great if you plan to walk anywhere, but with a taxi it's acceptable. The view is pretty good if your room is facing south. Facing north (even with river view) it's not that spectacular.

My stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The staff demonstrated professionalism and genuine hospitality throughout my visit. The hotel’s proximity to key landmarks, business districts, and transport connections was a significant advantage, saving both time and effort. Everything was within walking distance or easily accessible. Combined with the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, this made the experience highly satisfactory. I strongly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers.
