This is the best place i have ever stayed in my entire trip. The hotel is very clean and the staffs are very kind. So glad that I have Tiramisu to assist me my whole trip. She can speak English well and she can arrange transportation too. I booked the duplex room, it is very spacious with 2 bed which i think are king beds because they are very big. My kids love it so much. They even gave us fruits and served us tea when we check in. They provide oxygen for us as well. The room has a balcony where we can relax and chill. Every part of the hotel is instagrammable. What I like the most is the location where it is just 100m to the North Entrance gate of the Ancient City. It's also 50m to Chagee which i buy Frappe everyday. Perfect hotel, perfect location. 10/10 recommended!!

This double room is absolutely super - really large and clean, with lovely bathroom space. The under floor heating was very welcome for our cold winter nights. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful, it made our stay so enjoyable. My one suggestion for improvement could be to have a little variety for breakfast offerings - the set breakfast is large and generous for most people, but if someone has dietary requirements or different tastes it is a little restrictive - maybe a simple offering of some fruit and yoghurt as an alternative would be easy for the hotel to do, and provide another option for travellers. We loved our stay here though and will be recommending staying here to all our family and friends. The hotel is so close to all the sights in the ancient town, it was a lovely relaxing stay.

Setting this location as a base for our stay in Lijiang provided such a tranquil moment as it overlooks a reservoir and the snow mountain. Beautiful room with a tub that we enjoyed during our stay. All staff were very helpful and provided help to purchase tickets to attraction, meals and even helped to purchase a Monocular from the meitu as we do not have a local number. We were also treated to a tea session at the premises. Such a wonderful time. Thank you for the excellent hospitality provided.

What a pleasure it was to stay at 阅古楼 Leisure Yuegu Lou Inn! At a whim, i decided to stay at this Inn which is at the edge of the ancient town of Lijiang. And it was a wonderful choice. Mr Zheng the manager was friendly and helpful. He gave me clear directions to the place as the Inn is situated on a hill, helped me with the luggage and even surprised me with a room upgrade. There is a restaurant that serves hotpot and other visually appealing delicacies at reasonable prices, which is convenient for guests. The Inn overlooks the ancient city, which is another rewarding factor. In addition, the management provides a professional photographer to take pictures of their guests free of charge. The restaurant staff were also welcoming and helped to take pictures. As for the room, it has nice rustic decor, comfortable sheets, and more than basic amenities are there. Although an ashtray is available, i didn't smell any cigarette smoke, which is a big plus for me. The room comes with a humidifier, an additional heater, even a toilet warmer! In the morning, i woke up early to catch the sunrise. Because of the location, i was able to see the sunrise as it peeks out of the mountains and at various vantage points from the restaurant balcony. Definitely one of the delightful highlights of this trip. The manager recommended a very affordable excursion at the city outskirt to go horseback riding, canoe paddling, take pictures with alpacas and enjoy a serene day. I was also helped with getting a ticket at a discoubted price to a show by Mr Zheng. To sum, this has been a WONDERFUl stay in Lijiang. If you want a hotel stay in a place that offers the best views of the ancient city of Lijiang, friendly and accomodating management, and more, Leisure Yue Gu Lou Inn 阅古楼 is it.

Travelled with my family and the hotel was beautiful! The overall hotel environment is tranquil and quiet, away from the bustle of the main ancient town yet still conveniently located to get around. Breakfast restaurant had a great view of the morning light shining on the mountain. Rooms despite showing slight signs of age were well maintained, stylish and comfortable. Stayed at 2 different rooms during my stay and the second had poor water pressure for the shower. However, upon feedback, the staff were able to quickly fix the problem which showed their professionalism and high service standards. Overall, a comfortable and great stay for families and would definitely consider it value for money given Hyatt’s 5* standards!

When we head out we would ask for a bottle of water but the sweet girls will always ask if we need more because they see it’s the two of us. The sea view rooms have views of Erhai at a distance but we still enjoyed watching the clouds dance through the sky with the lake and mountains. The rooms are big and clean too. Highly recommend this hotel for people wanting to stay near Dali’s ancient town.

If you would like to stay within the Shaxi old town, this is the place for you. Very quiet location but just a few steps away from the main town. The property’s staff service their guest with their heart. They willing to pick up and deliver our 7 luggage’s from the car park to the property which is quite a distance away. Very clean property which provides full amenities.

A great place to stay for convenience and service! Besides being clean and well-heated in winter, the host offers tea to guests when they arrive or after a long day (without asking you to buy), recommends an itinerary if you need and even arrange transport to my next location. Breakfast was simple and good - mainly for Asian tastebuds. They grow their own vegetables and they have a great natural sweetness! The ancient city is a 10-15mins walk away with many gems along the way. I highly recommend this place, and will definitely stay again if I come back. Tip: Contact the hotel before hand to get some help for the luggage as the road to the hotel is not suitable for luggage and not accessible by car.

We had difficulties finding the hotel because it was quite hidden and the sign was not lighted up after certain time at night (we arrived in Dali quite late). Luckily a person helped us to find it. The check in process was swift. The room was quite big with all basic amenities provided including bath towel. I do not have any photos to show but it was a standard modern hotel room. The receptionist was very friendly and could recommend you places to visit in Dali. They did not know English so you have to use translation app. Recommended to stay if you are on budget.

Highly recommend this hotel for people wanting to stay near Dali’s ancient town.

Very good location 5 minutes walk to main area. Very good service by housekeeper xiao hao. Hotel is comfortable and clean. Breakfast, tea time and night dessert is great. Very easy accessible. We enjoyed our time here. They have transport service to pick you up at the main road and also sending you to nearby places. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay for convenience and service! Besides being clean and well-heated in winter, the host offers tea to guests when they arrive or after a long day (without asking you to buy), recommends an itinerary if you need and even arrange transport to my next location. Breakfast was simple and good - mainly for Asian tastebuds. They grow their own vegetables and they have a great natural sweetness! The ancient city is a 10-15mins walk away with many gems along the way. I highly recommend this place, and will definitely stay again if I come back. Tip: Contact the hotel before hand to get some help for the luggage as the road to the hotel is not suitable for luggage and not accessible by car.

We had difficulties finding the hotel because it was quite hidden and the sign was not lighted up after certain time at night (we arrived in Dali quite late). Luckily a person helped us to find it. The check in process was swift. The room was quite big with all basic amenities provided including bath towel. I do not have any photos to show but it was a standard modern hotel room. The receptionist was very friendly and could recommend you places to visit in Dali. They did not know English so you have to use translation app. Recommended to stay if you are on budget.

Great location in Wase Town, for views of Erhai Lake day n night. All amenities are carefully detailed. Unlimited soda and drinking water bottles, fruits, cookies etc. Free room service for breakfast. Very courteous staff and friendly to help you out by giving their Wechat 24/7. Fast room service in case of any needs. Thank you guys. Would recommend 100%.Go live a king life!
