Hotel Ocean View di Hebei, China

My friend and I stumbled upon this hotel while driving through Qinhuangdao, and it really exceeded our expectations. The room was much bigger than we thought, the toilet was smart, and the floor-to-ceiling window overlooked the sea (if you book a sea-view room, of course). The bed was also very comfortable. It's the perfect spot to watch the sunrise, the view is truly amazing! Great value for money! The sea-view rooms can be a bit chilly facing the ocean, so bring thick pajamas if you're coming in winter.

Everything was great, room is clean, stuff is friendly. During winter time the location is not great coz all the shops around are closed even KFC and Starbucks but this not hotel’s fault. The breakfast is a bit Chinese but foreigners also can find a lot of options to eat. The only thing I didn’t like is that during the breakfast there was a jar of Nutella but in fact that wasn’t Nutella just some cheap chocolate spread - just use another jar so people won’t be confused.

The hotel was the most comfortable, clean, and the location was very nice, close to the beach, and the service was friendly. The price was cheap, the service was high, the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much. I hope you all choose this hotel.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located right by the beach and commercial areas. There are many restaurants and several convenience stores within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and very clean. We tried two of the restaurants inside the hotel — one offering upscale Chinese food and the other seafood buffet, both were excellent. Will definitely choose Shangri-La again if we come back to Qinghuangdao in the future.

Always as good as ever, extremely satisfied! This isn't my first time staying at this hotel. We come to the seaside every New Year's Eve, and this year I came with friends. The hotel even upgraded us to two deluxe sea-view twin rooms for free, which was a nice touch and made us feel special! On New Year's Day morning, we could watch the sunrise right from our room – truly enjoyable! The only downside was that fireworks were banned at the beach this year, which made New Year's Eve a bit dull.

Service: The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly. She assisted us with our luggage and thoroughly checked the stroller for us when we rented it. Her service absolutely deserves full marks. Facilities: The room felt a bit small, especially compared to the 40-square-meter rooms we had at two previous hotels in Chengde. With our substantial luggage, our elderly companions found it quite cramped. Additionally, despite the air purifier running, both of our two rooms had a noticeable, unpleasant odor. Parking: Parking was a bit challenging. Although staff members were available to guide us to a spot, parking spaces directly outside the hotel entrance were very limited. Environment: The surrounding area is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, a real escape from the hustle and bustle. Getting to the beach was also quite convenient. Overall Recommendation: If you're traveling light, not driving, and aren't particular about room size, I would personally still highly recommend this place.

Convenient Location, directly above a large shopping mall with a good variety of shopping and food & beverage options. The hotel and mall are directly linked through the 4th floor, though it is closed outside of the mall operating hours. Room was clean and toiletries were nice! Overall a nice and comfortable stay.

Our stay at this beachfront hotel was wonderful. The clean room and stunning ocean views made for a relaxing retreat. Watching the sunrise and strolling along the beach added to the charm. The hot springs in our room were a unique and enjoyable feature.The staff was friendly and helpful, enhancing our experience. The dinner buffet, priced at 169 RMB, offered a fantastic variety of seafood and other dishes, making it a must-try. Overall, we were highly satisfied with our stay and recommend this hotel for its excellent location and amenities.

A true 5 Star experience. The room is top notch with a large window overlooking the sea. Service is outstanding in all categories. Breakfast is full and rich. The hotel dinner buffet is so extraordinary that I say you must try it at least once! We were amazed at the variety of dishes and the quality. Hotel location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk and you can have your feet in the sand or water. The Qinhuang Alley Food Street is also within walking distance or very short cab ride. This food street is very lively and fun to visit especially in the evening. Two other recommendations for things to do are Lao Long Tou (Old Dragon Head) which you can get to by cab. And if you are a fan of the Olympics you really should visit Olympic Avenue Park. Amazing relief sculpture wall over 300 meters long portraying Olympic history. Must be seen to be believed. Thank you to all the friendly and professional staff and chefs at Grand Hotel Qinhuang for making our 4 night stay so enjoyable. Qinhuangdao is a wonderful city with so many different things to do and experience we hope we can return again.

It takes about 20 minutes to get there by taxi from Qinhuangdao Station. I paid for the upgrade to the best room type. Let me talk about the advantages first. It is very photogenic, indeed very photogenic, and the sunset is beautiful. But it rained the next day, making it inconvenient to go out. Also, the bedding is good and quite comfortable. As for the disadvantages, maybe because it is close to the fishing village, the outside of the house stinks, especially stinks! The delivery guy laughed at the smell and said it smelled like rotten fish and shrimp 😂 I stayed here at the end of November, so I'm not sure if it will be better in the summer. It is said that there is travel photography, but I don’t know. Maybe if I didn’t mention it, the hotel staff would not bother to mention it... After all, I seemed to be the only one staying there that day, so I didn’t bother to worry about whether to take photos or not. Anyway, after I moved in, no one came to ask me anything except for fixing the fireplace and the bathtub. By the way, speaking of the bathtub, the water coming out contained sediment. I called a repairman to take a look, and he insisted that it was bubbles. I was too lazy to argue late at night, so I just didn't want to wash it. Cheating a three-year-old? I can't tell the difference between bubbles and sediment? Just say there is a problem, I have nothing to say. It's not good to lie. If it's just for taking photos and producing films, then that's ok.
