The Xiushan Island Scenic Area

Xiushan Island Scenic Area is located in the east of Daishan Island, with Xiushan Island as the center, consisting of 35 large and small islands, and is an important part of the Daishan Scenic Area. Legend has it that Xiushan Island is one of the "Abbot Island", one of the Three Immortal Mountains at sea, and is known as "Shangri-La on the Sea". The main attractions are Huani Theme Park, Lanxiu Culture Museum, Xiushan Beach Group, Jiuzi Buddha Island, Beach Bathing Beach, Changshou Temple, Li Clan Ancestral Hall, Li Family Five Houses, Lion Rock, etc. Xiushan Island Slippery Mud Theme Park is located at the northwest end of Xiushan Island. It faces thousands of acres of flat tidal flats and is backed by a provincial wetland nature reserve. The park is divided into three functional areas: large, medium and small. There are windsurfing mud sliding, barrel mud sliding, mud competition, modern mud slimming, mud climbing, mud bathing, mud therapy, mud fishing and other projects, which are rich in content, interesting and exciting. Lanxiu Culture Museum is located in Beipu, Xiushan Township, Daishan County. The museum collects more than 200 pieces of handwriting, calligraphy and painting of celebrities such as Xu Zhikang, Yang Jianwei, Ni Zhuqing, as well as wooden furniture, bonsai and root carvings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is a true portrayal of Xiushan's customs and historical changes. The Xiushan Beach Group is located in the east of the scenic spot and consists of three beaches connected end to end. The beach group is crescent-shaped and has a gentle slope. The sea area in this area has a gentle tide, numerous reefs, and abundant marine algae. In this area and among the reefs, there are many kinds of fish, crabs, and shellfish such as swimming crabs, copper basin fish, and tiger head fish. At the turn of summer and autumn, swarms of fish such as tiger head fish and crocodile fish lay eggs on the beach and among the reefs. Visitors can catch them by themselves, and then barbecue by themselves. Changshou Chanyuan is a large-scale religious shrine on Xiushan Island and is well-known in eastern Zhejiang. Near the entrance of the scenic spot, a group of quaint buildings with green tiles and yellow walls surrounded by green hills is the "Ancient Nunnery of Longevity". The Zen courtyard is not big, with a total area of more than 3,000 square meters. The front hall is the Tianwang Hall, the main hall is the Mahavira Hall, and the enshrinement pattern is the same as that of other halls. At the back of the hall are three stupas, carved from Wenling Yingshi, which contain the relics of the three generations of ancestors of Changshou Nunnery. The tower is not high, with a round spire, exquisite and beautiful, and it looks graceful and solemn under the shade of green hills and green trees. Generally, it takes half a day to a day to visit the scenic spot of Xiushan Island. If you want to feel deeply, you can also spend a few days on the island.
