I drove to Daocheng Yading on July 4th and stayed overnight. We decided that night: I would get up early to take the long route, and the two of them would sleep until they woke up naturally and take the short route. On July 5th, I started the long hike in Daocheng Yading Scenic Area to Milk Sea and Five-Color Sea. Looking back at what I saw and heard at that time, I still think it is the perfect interpretation of the scenery step by step. Every step you take, the scenery you see is different, but each one is wallpaper level. The extremely clear snow water stream, the magnificent snow mountains in the distance, the shiny grassland swaying in the wind, the golden temple... everything is so beautiful. All these beautiful things are combined together, you can imagine how beautiful it is. ♻️【Travel Summary】 🌟Hiking routes in the scenic area Long route: Chonggu Temple-Luorong Cattle Farm-Five-Color Sea-Milk Sea-Return the same way Short route: Chonggu Temple-Pearl Sea-Return the same way, you can also choose to take an electric car to Luorong Cattle Farm after the walk For those who want to play both long and short routes, it is recommended to reserve at least 2 days for Yading Play the long route on the first day and the short route on the second day. My whole route: You can buy tickets online for Yading Scenic Area (ticket + bus ticket 266 yuan), check the ticket and enter—take the bus (about one hour, there will be language broadcast on the bus to introduce the three gods mountain)—Yading Village—walk a uphill road——Sightseeing car ticket office (round trip 80, one way 50, about 30min, round trip about 14km)—Luorong Cattle Farm—Milk Sea—Five-Color Sea (Luorong Cattle Farm-Milk Sea Five-Color Sea round trip about 10km)—Return to Luorong Cattle Farm to queue for sightseeing car—Return by bus For those who want to take the long route, be sure to go as early as possible, and you will not be allowed to go up if you do not reach Shesheng Cliff at 15:00. I took the grand loop route in Western Sichuan (see figure 5), which requires at least 7 days, not including the travel time from your location! So make sure you have enough time before you set off! 1. Travel from your location to Chengdu and rest for one night. The next day, head to Kangding and then to Honghaizi. The scenery along the way is stunning, especially if it's a clear day. The altitude gradually increases to around 3500 meters. 2. To catch the sunrise on the golden mountain, we headed to Yuzixi, an excellent viewing spot. However, if the weather is poor, it's not worth the trip. We were late that day, so the weather was just so-so, and we missed it. We stayed overnight in Xinduqiao! 3. On the third day, we traveled from Xinduqiao to Litang, passing through Tuer Mountain with its beautiful scenery. We stayed overnight in Litang! 4. On the fourth day, we set off for Shangri-La Town. After settling in, we bought tickets for the direct bus to Daocheng Yading the next day. Daocheng Yading has a grand loop and a small loop. If you're physically fit, definitely challenge the grand loop. It's an 11-kilometer hike. Only after visiting Daocheng Yading will you truly appreciate the charm of nature and feel its immense energy! We stayed overnight in Shangri-La Town! 5. On the fifth day, we left Daocheng Yading for Ganzi County and stayed in the county town. The next day, we set off for Seda! There are two ways to get to Seda: buy a direct bus ticket for 168 yuan, which includes a guide to the mountain, or buy a ticket online in advance for 30 yuan, and then take a 3-yuan public bus to the mountain upon arrival in Seda. You must spend a full day in Seda, from morning till night. Normally it's not allowed, but we found a way, which made for a very satisfying day (you can private message me for the method). 6. On the way back from Ganzi County, we stopped by Moshishan Park to check in, and then rushed to Danba to stay overnight! You must go into Moshishan Park to see the plateau's stone forest; it's stunning. The whole journey is a little over an hour's hike! 7. From Danba towards Chengdu, pass through Shuanggou Bridge and Mount Siguniang. The scenery here is also beautiful. It takes about 2 hours to tour by car. However, after you've done the grand loop in Daocheng Yading, you might find Mount Siguniang just average. That's my feeling . Afterwards, it's a 3-hour drive back to Chengdu! This is the entire grand loop route! Transportation: We joined a small group tour with a professional driver to guide us. The group fee was less than 3000 yuan , including travel and accommodation! Precautions: Carry enough oxygen throughout the trip, as the altitude ranges from 3000 to over 5000 meters starting from Chengdu. Prepare motion sickness medicine, water, sunglasses, and sun protection tools! For clothing, long sleeves are necessary this season, along with a windbreaker and comfortable shoes! If you go to Seda, bring some bright clothes! My anti-altitude sickness tools were Yi Jiu Jiu Ai Jiu patches, which were very effective. I also took NMN from Ai Wu Zhi, which kept me from feeling tired or dizzy during the 5-7 hours of travel each day, and I felt very comfortable! This is my travelogue of Western Sichuan. If possible, it's better to be at the entrance of the scenic area at 7 o'clock, because there are few horses and you have to queue for a long time if you don't go early. 11, The wind at Milk Sea and Five-Color Sea is very strong, you need to bring a hat (not a duckbill cap, it's useless), and also wear a windproof and rainproof fleece jacket.
