Little Yellow Tower

Xiaohuanglou is actually the former residence of Huang Pu, which is located at No. 36 on the north side of the middle section of Huangxiang. It was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2006 and is now used as the China Taiwan-related Couplet Museum, which houses more than 100 couplets and plaques from Liu Yong, a Jinshi in the 16th year of Qianlong's reign, Feng Guozhang, the leader of the Beiyang warlords, and others.

The flower hall is a double-story pavilion, three rooms wide and five columns deep, with a through-beam wooden frame; dragons and phoenixes are painted on the beams, and the doors and windows are made of nanmu, with exquisite workmanship and exquisite carvings. The upstairs corridor has terraces on both sides, which are connected to the rockery. On both sides of the building, there are snow caves made of glutinous rice and cement, which are well preserved. In front of the building, there is a patio, a rockery made of Taihu stones opposite, and a small fish pond. An arched stone bridge spans it, and the bridge railing is engraved with the four words "Knowing the happy place of fish". The water is clear and the bottom is visible, and a group of fish swim. On the east side is a half-side pavilion, with squirrels, sparrows, dragonflies, ears of grain, corn, etc. engraved on the vertical columns. There are 12 hanging bells around the pavilion, each of which is very exquisite. There are several rows of bamboos in the courtyard, and flowers and trees are lush. The environment is quiet and the style is elegant, with the characteristics of Jiangnan gardens. The whole garden is surrounded by walls and forms its own courtyard. There is a precious ancient mango in the garden.
