Kaiyang

Kaiyang County is in central Guizhou Province and possesses some of China’s richest phosphorous reserves. The county has a clean environment and is honored as “China’s home of selenium-rich agricultural products” and “China’s green phosphorus capital.” Kaiyang is mainly a karst landscape with many interesting karst features worth visiting and enjoying. The Nanyang Grand Canyon is one of Kaiyang’s famous attractions and is where the famous Chinese poet Tao Yuanming (c. 365-427) once lived. There you will find karst features like gorges, depressions, forests of rocky peaks, waterfalls, and caves.
