Pangsapuri di Makkah

This is my 6 time in this hotel but this time I have decided to not comeback to this hotel again just because of the receptionist rude behaviour. The Girl Receptionist khan one of the rudest people I have met in my life. I arrived at the hotel little early around 5am and I told them I am going to perform umrah and I will comeback around 12pm to hotel and I am with 1 years old infant please let me check in. In the morning they told me that the room will be ready by 10 am so no need to be worried. After performing the umrah I went to the hotel at 12pm and I asked for the room but the receptionist khan is speak very rudely with me and told me to cancel my booking and leave the hotel or wait for 4 hours. I told her in the morning I was told the room will be ready by 10am but she didn’t replied back. I was very shocked that they are giving room other people but not me and when I ask for refund she said no refund so I now I don’t have any option and just I have to wait. I wait for two hours and then finally I got chance to meet with Hotel Manager Mr Eda maybe mistake in name but he is bald and he finally help us to check in. Now I want to ask questions why so rude people on Reception ? Why she is not letting me to go room when there is other people are going ? My family is suffering from all this and my child is sleeping in Reception lounge sofa.

Kakitangan hotel ramah dan membantu, sarapan pagi yang sangat baik dan sangat mudah jika anda ingin melakukan Umrah dengan anak-anak kerana lokasinya betul-betul di hadapan Al Haram.

Hotel yang mengagumkan, kami mendapat pemandangan bandar dan ia sangat mengagumkan. Agak pasti akan kembali ke hotel ini. Semua orang di hotel ini sangat baik. Perkhidmatan bilik juga bagus, daftar masuk juga lancar tanpa menunggu kami mendapat bilik terus selepas waktu daftar masuk. Sarapan pagi mempunyai banyak pilihan makanan. Makanan tempatan dan barat. Sangat bagus dan disyorkan. Yang haram juga sangat dekat dengan hotel. Anda hanya boleh berjalan ke haram.

Bilik berharga 2,000 yuan semalam memberikan pemandangan sampah Bilik itu menghadap tempat letak kereta dan runtuhan. Sarapan pagi tidak sehebat hotel empat bintang domestik Bilangan hidangan panas adalah kurang daripada 3, dan ia pada dasarnya adalah nasi goreng dan sosej yang berkualiti rendah. Kemudahan bilik sudah lama dan ***anya seperti hotel lama di China. Lebih-lebih lagi, penyelenggaraan bilik tidak mengikut piawaian kosong dan tiada apa-apa. Selain daripada lokasi, hotel ini pada dasarnya tidak mempunyai apa-apa untuk ditawarkan untuk satu malam dan hotel The Hilton dan Conrad di sebelahnya adalah satu pertiga lebih baik daripada yang ini, dan kualitinya berkali-kali lebih baik. Hotel ini hanya bernilai 300 semalam, tidak lebih.

It is my first time to have a short stay in this hotel. It was a very good experience from the start of my journey at the reception desk with Mr. “saif” and his warm welcome and continuous smile, through the wide, clean room with its new furniture and many facilities, the good service of the house keeper “Samy”, passing by the most decent, supportive, and helpful restaurant manager; Mr. “Taher”; and his professional team, and ending at the reception desk again with the warm “see you again” from Mr. Abd AlRahman. From my point of view, except for the fact that the hotel is far from “Haram”, it is one of the best hotels in Makkah.

We stayed at the Jumeirah for our Umrah trip. Our room was fantastic but we were so appalled by the dining service and quality of food. At breakfast, the service is terrible. The staff are unfriendly and unhelpful and the people behind the live food stations need to smile like the gentleman on the egg station. I asked 5 times for a karak chai from the start of entering the breakfast until the end; I was there for 1.5 hours and every single person I asked was unable to get me the karak. They kept ignoring and disappearing. In the end I had to remind the waiters how long I had been waiting only to be told it had run out. I was waiting for a very long time just to be told this! In the end someone did get me the karak but it was so hard to just ask for something so simple. Also every day at breakfast the tables are not set out with the cuttlery and napkins missing. Every time I ask someone for some cutlery as there isn’t any on the table and it doesn’t get replaced but again we are always ignored and have many times helped ourselves to cutlery from other tables or the station where staff store the cutlery. We got very tired of the service here and it definitely doesn’t live up to the standards of other 5 star hotels (except the hotel and room itself). The staff are very unhelpful and the kitchen staff are awful. Having come from a hospitality background, there needs to be more structure in your kitchen and managers need to stop prioritising specific tables. All guests should be treated the same. We came to the buffet dinner and we’re looking forward to a lovely meal however the food was absolutely awful quality. The lamb shoulder was so over cooked and dry. We have never tasted anything quite like it. I have attached a picture to show the quality. It was inedible. There were literally no staff at any of the service stations. We wanted some of the grilled meat and chicken and we had searched for someone to serve it to us and he took one handful of it and put it on our plates. That is not an adequate protein portion. The portion was enough to fit a tablespoon of meat. The options were so poor. Again, no table service and no napkins and cutlery. We had to keep asking for things that should have been there. We didn’t even have water bottles and the table next to us had 5 water bottles for 2 people. We were really looking forward to the dinner but it was the worst buffet we have been to for a five star hotel. Nothing was fresh and the dessert selection was terrible too. Definitely nothing 5 star about it. The pastry was old and stale and very sweet without any flavour. It’s such a shame at such a high price which does not reflect any quality at all. We were so disappointed with the stay. We were hoping to return later this year with our family but we will have to find another hotel as this is hotel is not at the standard to bring our family to. Your location, decor, room size are amazing but your customer service and quality of food really lets you down. It is such a shame as we were really looking forward to staying here again. Wow! What a hotel! It exceeded my expectations by far and I really enjoyed every moment of it. The service is amazing, especially Mr. Muhammad, what a kind and gentle man. He happened to check us in and check us out. As soon as you enter the hotel the wonderful smell hits you. The decor is out of this world. The calm earthy colors, the subtle bling in between everything is well thought of. The complimentary elements in the hotel i enjoyed as well. Good quality coffee, plenty of towels, of diff sorts and sizes, a beautiful view! The shuttle busses were very frequent, most I waited was 2 minutes probably, but almost in all cases I didn't have to wait. All doors are opened for you and they make you feel like royalty. Breakfast was also a variety of good food. I will definitely visit again. It was cheaper than the hotels nearby.. Last I will say is Allaahuma baarik!

I booked a one night stay on the Accor website at Movenpick Makkah after arriving from Madinah. It was a welcome respite from staying at local brand hotels since coming to Makkah and Madinah for Haj. Check in was a wonderful experience due to the efficiency of Ms Adeer, Front Desk Exec. It was great she spoke fluent English and had the most cheerful demeanour. When she saw I was an Accor Member upon check in, she upgraded me to a nice Al Haram view without me asking. Appreciate the great job you did Ms Adeer. A sincere thanks from me. It took me just a few minutes before I was on my way to my room. I was given room 2432 which had a nice big king sized bed. Despite the hotel being over 10 years old, I found the room to be very well maintained and it didn’t feel dated at all. It’s contemporary feel remained fresh. The bed was super comfortable and I liked it had a kitchenette nook that had a small induction cooker and sink. My only gripe was the tiny shower area. The room had a nice view of Al Haram piazza and the new Al Haram extension. The stay came with breakfast included so I headed to the restaurant right after morning prayers. The breakfast spread was already ready by 6am. I was shown a table by Mr Arshad, who got me my coffee and helped to show me personally the breakfast spread. They had a good selection of local and international breakfast dishes. The Restaurant Manager, Mr Sameer, suggested I try the Egyptian porridge and was kind enough to make me one personally himself. Mr Sameer was attentive to all the guests not just me. Overall I was very pleased with my stay and was most impressed with level of service in all my interaction with the Movenpick team. One can see the level of training re. service between an international brand hotel in Makkah and a local brand. The level of service of Movenpick Makkah rivals any hotel one would visit in London, Paris, New York or Singapore. Well done! 5 stars and highly recommended. Once again shoutout to Ms Adeer, Mr Arshad and Mr Sameer. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

excellent room stay, great city view, excellent buss service as buses are new and running 24/7 and the WIFI is also good. Good cleanliness and staff behavior is also good. Hotel is big so it is busy but everything is smooth

We stayed for a week. Overall, it was a decent experience although ultimately overpriced during Umrah. The room was relatively small. We were able to add a third guest at a cost of 300 riyals per night which was reasonable but only a bunk bed was offered and it took the minimal space available. The bathroom sink was clogged during our entire stay despite repetitive requests made to the cleaning staff and on the Bonvoy Marriott app. The food experience is however terrible! Iftar at the restaurant is extremely overpriced for 250 riyals per person and unjustified for a food of poor quality and not tasty at that. The scheduling was also hectic. Iftar was only from 7 to 9 pm and Sohour from 1 to 3 am; meaning if one wanted to attend Taraweeh, they would not be able to eat by the time they came back from the Mosque and would have to wait until 1 am to sustain themselves, which is ridiculous. We were therefore eating at the coffeeshop reception which was offering a buffet for 100 riyals per person, which was still overpriced for what it was. Only a few items were offered and not replenished.
