Auf keinen Fall würde ich je jemandem dieses Hotel zumuten. Der Preis ist günstig, ja, aber davon sollte man sich nicht locken lassen und lieber ein paar Franken mehr ausgeben. Die Lüftung war so laut dass kein Gespräch mehr geführt werden konnte. An den Wänden waren Blutspuren (????), im WC waren Kotspuren, die Türgriffe wurden wohl noch nie geputzt da sie klebrig und schmutzig waren, es gab keine Handseife, das Bett war kaputt (Kopfteil war tiefer als Fussteil), Nachttische gab es keine und das Bett war wohl nicht frisch bezogen. Der Boden war dreckig und die Haupttür hatte gar kein Schloss sodass jederzeit jeder sich in dem Gebäude aufhalten konnte. Zudem wurde durch die Lüftung ein starker ********geruch und später auch ein starker Zigarrengeruch ins Zimmer geblasen, der den aufdringlichen Thaiessengeruch, der vorgängig im Zimmer herrschte, sogar fast überdeckte. Es gibt kein Personal im Hotel welches man ansprechen kann. Der Lift wirkte nicht sicher, einige Knöpfe schienen nicht zu funktionkeren. Wir haben uns nach kurzem 15 minütigen Aufenthalt dazu entschieden, nicht in diesem Zimmer zu schlafen. Zum Glück ist das auschecken genau so unkompliziert wie das einchecken, sodass wir den Schlüssel einfach nur in die check-out Box werfen konnten und gehen konnten. Dieses ”Hotel” sollte direkt geschlossen werden.

I have spent 18 days working from JOYN Zurich so think this should be a fairly accurate review of my experience. For context, JOYN is new so may still be working through teething issues, but hopefully this is useful feedback. Pros; - Comfortable, well equipped rooms. I was in one of the largest apartments they offer and it is a good space to spend a lot of time - The kitchenette whilst small is workable and has most of what you'd need - Well located close to the airport and about 25 mins by tram to central Zurich - Nice bathroom and good shower pressure - Gym is good with nice new equipment - Very close to great supermarkets (Coop and Migros next door) - The communal spaces are lovely, including the central courtyard and roof gardens - Strong water pressure from the shower (although the drain didn't seem to be able to cope with the volume of water which meant potential overflowing of the shower unless carefully managed) - The room has a small dishwasher. There were two dishwasher tablets provided and these weren't topped up by the cleaners, meaning you'll need to buy more Unfortunately the cons are pretty significant though, particularly if you want to work from here; Cons - The wifi is atrocious. At best the speeds hover around 1mbps which isn't good enough for stable whatsapp or facetime calls, let alone Teams or Zoom work calls. I thought this may have been my room but is pretty much my experience in all the open spaces including the ground floor communal spaces (see screenshot from Speedtest). This makes it unsuitable for any work. - The cleaning services are a bare minimum. After one week they changed my linen and towels but didn't vacuum, sweep the floor, empty bins or clean the bathroom. After another 7 days they'd hadn't come to clean again and when prompted they said it would be cleaned that day (but it wasn't). On the 8th day I asked and again they promised to have it cleaned. Whilst I wouldn't mind cleaning myself, there is no vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths or anything else in the room to clean with, so unless you want to buy your own, be prepared for it to get pretty dusty and the bathroom to get dirty. Cleaning also didn't include replacing the kitchen towels so you'll have to wash these yourself if you're staying for an extended period. - Other than the supermarkets nearby there is pretty much nothing else around Perhaps they're not used to guests having longer stays, but with cleaning services like this, it will become pretty horrible unless guests buy the cleaning products and do it themselves.

It would be better if indoor doors and windows were easier to open, allowing for improved air circulation. The shower has very high water pressure, and the sink area is quite small. If two large people share the double bed, it can be very cramped. The apartment is located together with IBS, and you can navigate directly to IBS. I only stayed for one night, but around 7 AM, construction work started nearby, which was very annoying.

This is totally unattended hotel - there are no staff of any kind (other than housekeepers) and no restaurant. Everything from making your reservation to paying to checking in and getting your ”key” (there's actually no key, just a code for a pin-pad) is done online via your web browser or smartphone. So, if you are 100% comfortable with doing everything in your life via your smartphone, great. If you are the kind of person who forgets passwords or does not read instructions carefully, this is not the place for you, it will only end in heartache. That probably explains the negative reviews posted - those people didn't read and follow the instructions provided. The hotel has a ”no refund” policy, so be darn sure you are going to use the reservation once you make it and pay for it. But having said this, the price is half what you would pay elsewhere in the village for the same quality of accommodation. There are plenty of places to eat and shop within a 5 minute walk. No parking is provided, and it is very difficult to find a parking space in this village. This is not a good place to stay if you arrive by car! The site is a former apartment building that has been converted to single rooms. The rooms are large, modern, Swiss-clean, and comfortable. Internet is fast and free. There are no amenities such as coffee-makers, fridges, or laundry facilities. Like most Swiss hotels, there is no air conditioning. It's in a residential area of a small, quiet village. To sum up: If you are prepared to read AND FOLLOW the instructions on the website and in the email you will receive after making your reservation VERY CAREFULLY, and if you are comfortable with a completely unattended hotel (no services or guidance available), this is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. Otherwise, best to book into a more conventional hotel, such as the Welcome Inn which is 200 meters up the street and is a very fine hotel. PS: No check-in is possible prior to 2:00 PM in the afternoon.

The hotel is extremely conveniently located, can choose to take a short walk to Zurich Lake (15mins), or by tram and train services located within 2mins walk from hotel. It's also very Easy to get to n fro airport (30mins by train) Rooms were well cleaned. And I really like to decor of the hotel. Amenities like toothbrush and bedroom slippers have to be asked from front desk, otherwise not provided in room. The room we booked comes with breakfast but it's an extremely basic selection, so don't expect it to be like a fancy buffet spread. Overall the experience we had was very nice.

I was plagued with trepidation before staying at the Swiss Star California. I had read some negative comments on Google Maps and trip.com, and the dread of what might go wrong loomed heavy over me. However, as fate would have it, my fears were unwarranted - the hotel, or rather, the service apartment, turned out to be a pleasant surprise and surpassed my expectations. The room was clean, well-equipped, and not too shabby. The heater functioned perfectly, which was a relief since it was a frosty February in Zurich. They had everything one would expect from a basic hotel room. But here's a word of caution: after booking your stay, make sure to check your email. You will receive a message from the hotel, not just a confirmation, containing the passcode and room number. Without this information, you might find yourself stranded outside the door, with no one to receive your calls or help with check-in. Trust me; I know how it feels to be left out in the cold, frantically seeking assistance from Trip.com. Furthermore, if you have a lot of luggage, you may want to pray for a room on the ground or first floor. Unfortunately, there is no lift in the building. However, let's not forget that this is one of the most affordable places to stay in Zurich. With that in mind, who could realistically expect luxury amenities and top-notch service? All in all, Swiss Star California proved to be a pleasant surprise and an excellent value for the price.

The hotel is near the train station Zurich HB 700 m and the tram station Limmatplatz 4-6 200 m. The surrounding area has restaurants, shops etc. for mostly Indian people. People noisy outside But when he entered the room it was quiet. Small entrance and small hotel name sign. I made a reservation and paid for the hotel 24 days in advance, but did not receive a code from the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel I can't enter the hotel. No one can help because they have to check in themselves. I had to call to get the password on the phone. The hotel has 1 small fan, but it's a dangerous fan. because there is no grille covering the front propeller.

Kami adalah keluarga lima orang, dan terdapat bilik yang disediakan khas untuk keluarga, jadi ia sangat sesuai untuk kami, dan harganya sangat menjimatkan. it was clean and location was convenient

The accommodation is modern and very clean. The location is great, close to a lot of places walking and also easy reach to public transport. The most impressive thing was the the lovely breakfast served in the room, which my 2 year old kid would look forward every morning. The staff was friendly and very competent. I couldn’t recommend them enough! If there was a small thing to say, would be to add roller blackouts in the bedroom’s window, they have windows blackout in the living room, but it would’ve been great to have the bedroom darker, however this is a really small thing compared to the outstanding service offered.

The manager was possibly the most uncooperative and arrogant one that I have encountered in decades of business travel around the world. The manager was unwilling to do anything at all to solve a legitimate and significant problem that I had with the booking, even after repeated requests, though it would have been easy for them to do so and would have cost them nothing. The phone number that they provide just results in a couple of minutes of music playing and then hanging up, no matter how often or at what time of day you call it. I shudder to think of what happens when a guest has a problem with their room whose solution actually calls for some effort on the manager's part. (I see now that the one earlier Tripadvisor review reports a very similar experience. I wish I had read that review before booking!)

房間很好，大小合適，乾淨也安凈。但是，如果你不是當地人，不熟那裡的環境，建議就是別訂。雖然離機場是不遠，交通不便，我不知道有沒有接機送機服務，但我自己過去的，太晚了，前台晚上八點後就沒人了，早上七點前也沒，全程自助通關。坐的公交，還要輸密碼進門，輸密碼拿鑰匙，免費密室逃生，對初入莫生環境的人不親和。別嘗試從機場走過去，我幹了。。。。
