The hotel couldn’t be better. Participants have their own apartment which comes with a fully equipped kitchen. Even if you are on your own, pop for a one bedroom for a extra room. This is especially nice for a long stay. I had a room on the ground level. It opened up to the patio which has a nice sitting area and tables and chairs. I often took my lunch out there, or a drink after a hard day touring in historic Florence. People do smoke out there, but not very much. The rooms are clean, clean, clean and there is housekeeping service every three days. Linens are bright white. The property is located a block away from the T2 Tram Line which gets to the historic area in about 10 minutes. I would stay here again.

I'll start with the positives so that the review doesn't sound too much like a rant, but if you check out the other negative reviews, you'll find this one much the same - I wish I'd read them more carefully before booking! The location is fantastic. It's close to the train station (though we managed to miss the entrance as it's on a side street and not noticeable, mainly as there were workers nearby improving the pavement). As you head southeast on Via Faenza, you'll find plenty of nice cafes and restaurants (try Rosalia Salad Gourmet for breakfast and L'Imperatore Ristorante Pizzeria for excellent pizza/pasta). The hotel is also close to popular attractions, such as the Statue of David at Accademia Gallery and Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. Even Ponte Vecchio is only 10-15 minutes walk. The reception staff were friendly enough and did allow us to check in early, something we hadn't expected. Sadly, that's where the good part ends. Our room was on the first floor opposite the main building, up a steep, narrow, poorly lit staircase. The room was quite large, with a sofa bed and two single beds that had been moved together to make up a double. However, it was very dated and in need of refurbishment: the walls were marked and chipped in various places, the shower door was damaged, and, worst of all, the air conditioning was useless - even on full blast, it did nothing to cool the room, not ideal when it was 40 degrees Celsius outside! We ended up leaving it on even while we were out to see if it would make a difference, but it didn't. The beds were also uncomfortable, and we slept poorly for all three nights of our stay (not helped by the aforementioned air conditioning issues either). The shower cubicle had also not been cleaned properly before our arrival, as we found used sachets of shower gel in the tray. Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention that the shower emitted an irritating, high-pitched squeal whenever the water was running! Given that this was the most expensive hotel of our Italy trip (covering five cities), we left feeling very disappointed and only the great location did anything to improve our enjoyment. I'd suggest booking elsewhere.

What a beautiful place to stay in Florence! You will want for nothing during your stay here. Our room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. There is 24 hour access to ice and cold water and a daily breakfast with the usual fare. The hotel staff is extremely helpful with everything from the wonderful daily housekeeping staff to the front desk staff getting us taxis or helping us find anything and everything in the area. Some of the major attractions are a bit of a walk, 20-30 minutes, but we felt like we were walking off all that pasta and gelato. I would LOVE to stay here again!

We were looking for an affordable space for our 4 day stay in Florence and this was perfect. We had a very spacious room with a great view! Staff were incredibly kind and provided excellent recommendations. Tram and main train station of Florence was walking distance which was very convenient. There was a laundromat across the street that was easy to use which was very helpful and a couple of coffee shop options nearby for the early Morning. If you’re looking for something convenient, spacious and affordable this is a great option.

Non ho mai avuto tempo per recensire il mio soggiorno qui, ma ci tenevo a farlo. Abbiamo passato un bellissimo weekend a Firenze, il nostro appartamento era Accademia, situato all'ultimo piano di un palazzo moderno da poco ristrutturato. Stanza stupenda, perfetta anche per 3 persone poiché dotata di un divano letto al secondo piano. Letto comodissimo, bagno bello e pulito diviso in due zone da una grande vasca jacuzzi che funge anche da doccia, dotata anche di led per la cromoterapia e che affaccia sulla stanza in quanto vetrata, ma volendo più privacy si può tirare giù la tenda facilmente. Ci siamo organizzati telefonicamente per il check in, un signore gentilissimo ci ha spiegato come aprire il portone e ci ha accompagnati alla stanza, siamo stati omaggiati di una bottiglia di vino locale dei dolcetti tipici. Il giorno del check out ci hanno fatto tranquillamente lasciare le nostre valige in una stanza poiché avevamo il treno tardi, davvero apprezzato. Uscendo dal portone, a destra con pochi passi si arriva all'antico vinaio, poco affollato rispetto agli altri, a sinistra invece, infondo alla via, c'è piazza duomo, quindi centralissimo, perfetto per girare sempre a piedi. Lo consiglio vivamente, torneremo volentieri !!

I regret to say that our recent stay at Camplus Guest Firenze in Florence was a complete disappointment, and I feel compelled to share our experience to warn others not to stay here. To start with the positives, the room size was adequate and the bed was comfortable. The modern decor was also appealing, and the cleaning standards were satisfactory. However, the negatives far outweighed any positives. Firstly, despite being upgraded, our room on the messanie 1A floor suffered from appalling noise pollution from the common area as there was no wall separating our room from the common area. As the building primarily caters to students, the noise levels were unacceptable, disrupting our sleep and causing discomfort throughout our stay. The students should feel free to make noise in their common area, I just don’t know our superior double room (we even bought an upgraded room) was placed there for paying hotel guests when this is clearly an issue. The most alarming issue was the shared balcony, which posed a serious security risk. On the second night, we were awakened by loud music and discovered a group of people smoking and partying directly outside our room on our own portion of the balcony. This invasion of privacy and lack of security left us feeling unsafe and vulnerable. Despite raising the issue, and the situation was not properly addressed and upon checkout the staff member tried to make it out that the group were on another area of the balcony, which I was upset about as I looked out the window and I saw with my own eyes the group directly outside our room on our balcony. They also asked why we didn’t tell them to go away ourselves but as not speaking good Italian at all, we felt unsafe approaching a group whose language we don’t speak. Furthermore, the breakfast experience was uncomfortable, as we felt out of place among the other students. Overall, our stay was marred by feelings of insecurity, discomfort, and sleep disturbance. Despite paying a significant amount for our stay, the service and amenities did not meet our expectations. Moreover, management's lack of response to our official complaint email is concerning. Despite offering a mere 50% discount on our next stay within the year, which we declined as we do not plan to return to Florence within that timeframe, they have refused to offer any compensation for our current stay. In conclusion, I strongly advise against staying at camplus guest firenze in Florence. Our experience was unacceptable, and the lack of proper response from management only adds to our disappointment. Please reconsider before booking your stay here.

Beginning with the front desk staff and their not existing emphaty and client service, moving forward with an awful smell in the room, not cleaned bed sheets, non existing front desk during the night, closed elevator during the night and the list can continue. If you wish to have a good journey and enjoy the beautiful Florence you have to avoid this place. The second day in the morning, the breakfast was served at a bar nearby where the waiters are not serving the guests, you have to take the plates by yourself (the plates which means 1 old croissant and 1 cup of coffee), disgusting. After this terrible experience, all we had to do was to leave earlier, after the first horror night. Avoid this hotel!

Hotel piccolo e fantastico, caratterizzato da uno stile e design eccezionali. Location magica sulla riva dell’Arno, lontano dalla folla di turisti che invade il centro di Firenze, che e’ comunque a pochi minuti di distanza. Personale gentilissimo, pronto ad esaudire ogni richiesta. Colazione eccellente in una sala ristorante dal design ricercato e accogliente.

My many week stay at this property was delightful in every way. As part of a group studying Italian at Unistrasi, I and others were housed here. The biggest drawback is the distance from Siena proper, and in this instance from school as well as the happenings of the Palio, a huge draw for some members of our group. It meant taking buses which most became familiar with and used with ease. The facilities of the complex were for me, perfect. The folks at reception were always eager to assist. The unit I had was bright, comfortable and clean. With an induction stovetop, and plenty of kitchenware, plus a small but adequate refrigerator. As well there was a washer and dryer in the lower floor for use with a small fee. My unit was in the back, which I recommend due to possible road noise in the front. A couple of farmers markets are held several times a week in the block, and across the street is a full service super market. Life was very comfortable at the Aparthotel Anghel and I recommend it!

I would classify this as more of a guesthouse than a hotel, as there's no reception. We need to contact the owner in advance and upload our passport photos for the check-in process, but it's generally smooth. However, the noise from the road was quite loud, and the poor soundproofing negatively affected our stay. On the positive side, the facilities were good, the refrigerator and air conditioner worked well, and the staff were quite friendly.

Being a frequent traveler and owning our own vacation property, we pay particular attention to detail of the places we stay. This property far exceeded our expectations and our hopes. Perfectly located minutes from anything you could possibly want to do, extremely clean, highly upgraded and new looking, with all the amenities needed for a very comfortable stay. From the moment we made the reservation, our host, German, was at our service. He responded right away, and set up to meet us personally, at the time convenient for us to check in. He was so helpful with all of our questions and needs! We would highly recommend this property! And we can't wait to come back for another stay! Book it today, you will be happy you did!
