Very nice hotel with free airport pick up/drop off which is a real plus as airport taxis try to charge you €20 for a 2km drive, plus hotel has deal for €12 (1200lek)for taxi into Tirana (17km) so well worth using this service if going into the city,Elvis on reception was a great help and suggested good places to visit.all staff a very friendly and restaurant is very affordable for a 5star hotel (cappuccino 180lek -€1.80)

The hotel is within walking distance to the airport. The hotel room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. I loved the continental free breakfast, which was part of my booking deal. Very large selection of ethnic and western type foods for breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would book again!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at La Onda Hotel in Durres. The service was very good from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist us. They truly give their best to make guests feel welcome.
The breakfast was very good with plenty of nice options to choose from. Everything tasted fresh and was well prepared.
The hotel is in a good location, close to everything we needed. It is also very neat, clean, and has a beautiful look. You can tell they take good care of the place.
We had a great experience and would happily stay there again. We definitely recommend it.

Reception:
Friendly and very efficient and exceptionally friendly staff
Room / facilities:
Room number 208 is on floor 2
and is very clean.
We stayed 1 night
Self control air conditioning with a door that opens to the balcony, however the air con did not really cool the room sufficiently.
The room has 2 very comfortable single beds, bench and seat, hanging area, safe , hot water hug, coffee cups and glasses (but no tea or coffee), mini fridge, phone, flat screen TV, walk in shower, which when showering water goes everywhere in the bathroom.
Parking:
is available but is limited to about 10 cars in the off street open air park area.
Wifi:
Complementary and good speed. Validation or password required.
Breakfast:
Available for all guests and consists of a small buffet, with the bonus of fresh egg products being cooked to order. Refill of the food was very slow as many foods were empty when we arrived at 9.00 am
Conclusion:
Fantastic hotel for an overnighter or a few days stay.
Id recommend this Hotel.
Letdowns:
Lack of tea and coffee in the room.

Town, the promenade, restaurants…

AAnonymous UserWe recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Durrës and overall had a lovely experience. The staff were attentive, welcoming, and always helpful throughout our stay. The hotel itself was very clean and modern, and our room was spacious with a large bathroom and a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea. Waking up to that sea view each morning was definitely a highlight.
One feature we really enjoyed was the smart room controls. The room has touch consoles on the walls that control certain features, including the curtains. It was such a nice touch to wake up, press a button, and watch the curtains open to reveal the sea view.
As the hotel is still very new, we appreciated that there may be a few snags to work through. During our stay, the lights came on by themselves early in the morning on two consecutive days, the fire alarm went off unexpectedly once, and the shower flooded part of the bathroom. None of these issues ruined our stay, and we didn’t really want to complain as it’s clear the hotel is still settling in and refining things.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and can see this becoming an excellent hotel once the initial teething problems are ironed out. The location, views, staff, and modern rooms made it a memorable visit.

GGuest UserWonderful hotel. We stayed from September 19 to September 30, 2024. We didn't want to leave. Upon arrival, it turned out that the room we booked was not available, and they upgraded our room category to the best - a two-room suite of more than 50 meters with a terrace also 50 meters - with sun loungers, a huge umbrella, a dining table and a small table with chairs. And no extra charge! Special thanks to the hotel management for this. The breakfast is very good. Everything is there. Fried eggs, omelettes, pastries, vegetables, fruits, hams, sausages, cheeses, sausages, baked zucchini and eggplants. Excellent coffee of all kinds from the coffee machine. You need to walk a little to the sea about 400-500 meters along a shady alley of thujas - it is pleasant to walk, it smells of pine needles and there is no scorching sun. A wonderful large sandy beach with sun loungers and umbrellas. At the reception they also give out towels or blankets for the beach/pool. Everything is free. The sea has a gentle entrance, it is quite shallow for a long time, but the water is always warm, even after the rain.
The location is about 30 kilometers from Tirana and 30 kilometers from Durres. If you want to go see nature/sights, you will need to rent a car.
There were 3 restaurants within walking distance: Gambero is the best. The food is purely Italian, and everywhere the same. Equally delicious. Fish, seafood, meat, pasta, pizza, salads. There is homemade wine. Local beer is delicious, although I am not a fan. There is also imported. There is also a restaurant in the hotel itself. The same, but the prices are more expensive. Sometimes it was not open.
Shops. There are 3 shops: right around the corner from the hotel (Eco), in the neighboring village of Lura3 (ok) and ”on the dusty road” (the best, the richest selection - there are cheeses, fruits, pates, inexpensive wine, though Italian - local wines were not seen anywhere), you can go through the ”garbage forest”, but it is also very dirty there. I definitely recommend the hotel, it is probably one of the best in this country, if not the best. Good price/quality ratio.

The hotel itself is lovely, and the comfort level is just amazing. The breakfast was so good, it even has an omelet station.
I highly recommend this hotel what you are looking for a relaxing stay by the Albanian seashore.

Service was good however the drink served with breakfast must be consistent. Had coffee free on day one but second day was told only tea is included in breakfast. We have to pay extra for coffee.

GGuest UserThe hotel is just opposite the airport parking lot. It is the best hotel near the airport. The name outside the hotel should be ARK. The facilities are well maintained. The room is large, with a large Hisense TV. It can receive EU special Italian signals, fast Wifi, and a clean environment. The front desk service is very enthusiastic and the room was upgraded for free. There is a children's play area on the second floor, and a restaurant and bar downstairs. They accept Euros and can also exchange local currency.
