Hotel Dengan bar di Northern, Rwanda

Miramar Ruhondo Resort was easily one of the highlights of my trip to Rwanda. The setting is extraordinary: a tiny, peaceful island surrounded by Lake Ruhondo, with the Virunga mountains in the distance. Waking up to the dawn chorus, the mist over the lake and almost complete stillness was genuinely magical. What really made the stay special, though, were the people. Alphonsine and Alex have created somewhere that feels incredibly warm and personal, and they and their staff made me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. Nothing felt forced or overly formal. The hospitality was thoughtful, relaxed and generous, and the whole place has a wonderful sense of care about it. The food was excellent, the room was comfortable, and there are plenty of ways to enjoy the surroundings, but honestly one of the best things to do here is simply slow down. I found myself wanting to wander around the island, sit by the water, listen to the birds and take everything in. I only stayed for one night and my biggest regret is that I didn’t stay longer. If I return to Rwanda, I would absolutely come back. Thank you to Alphonsine, Alex and all the staff for making such a short stay so memorable.

The beds are comfortable but the side lamp are not working. The lights are too dim. It is too near the main road, we can hear lots of trucks. The breakfastvis delicious.

Beautiful pool and hot tub facilities. The hot tub was off and cold. Would’ve loved to use it. 

Personnel très accueillant. Chambres grandes et propres avec une bonne literie. Joli jardin où nous avons pris le petit déjeuner. Je recommande cet hôtel et y reviendrai avec plaisir.

町の中心に近くて便利で、きれいな庭のソファでゆったりくつろげます。 とても親切なスタッフに相談したら、レンタサイクルを借りることができました。国立公園の登山に行く日は、朝食時間を早めてバイクタクシーの迎えも手配してくれました。 フルーツたっぷりに焼きたてオムレツの朝食つきでこの料金はとても助かります。

房間乾淨整潔，服務特別周到，三餐菜單都會問客人的意願，幫我刷了兩雙沾滿泥的鞋。住了兩個晚上。即將啟程的早餐，為我安排在花園，遠望火山，狗狗陪伴。美好時光～
