Hotel Dengan Bar di Aichi Prefecture, Japan

I was here for the Jishukan High School Jishusai festival and forgot my slippers, so I just wore the hotel's. My room had a direct view of Toyohashi Station platforms, but the soundproofing was excellent; I didn't hear any noise at all. The breakfast was quite extensive and very delicious. Not only did it have all the usual offerings, but also local specialties like Toyohashi curry udon and chikuwa (fish cakes), and there were even two different kinds of chikuwa! They were really tasty, and it meant I didn't have to go out and buy the now-pricier chikuwa. My only slight disappointment was that the curry udon was cold. Also, the entrance on the first floor that connects to the station was under renovation, and it wasn't as obvious, similar to the steps where Lao Ba eats takoyaki.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; you can walk to Mitsukoshi and other department stores. There's also a direct airport shuttle bus right to the hotel entrance. The lobby is grand, and the staff are professional. The rooms are standard, clean, and hygienic. They even cleaned our room even though we forgot to put out the 'make up room' sign. All amenities, like toothbrushes, were well-stocked in the bathroom. It's excellent value for money, and I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

I stayed after the night pool in Laguna. Since the toll road will be closed at 20:00, I had to check in by then, so I was harassed before staying, but after check-in, I was kind and polite to serve customers. Even though I arrived late, I was very impressed with the detailed response such as confirming the breakfast the next morning. From this year, I was convinced that I could see my best in the renewal. In addition, the service of pear 🍐 and the water area are renovated and beautiful, and the price is cheap and very satisfied. Thank you very much for your help this time. I stayed at this hotel on the first day of my trip. The overall facilities were very nice and the service was great. The room was also very clean, and the lounge was especially impressive. Guests were able to use it for free within a set time, and it was great to be able to relax while enjoying various alcoholic beverages and coffee. The gym facilities were also great. If I visit Toyohashi again, I would like to stay a little longer. Thank you!

The staff's service attitude was excellent. For breakfast, they had chicken wings and Oden. The room I chose this time had a separate bathroom and toilet, so the toilet wouldn't get wet when showering. The hotel's location is superb, with a mall and restaurants downstairs. If you love shopping, you probably couldn't cover it all in one day. It's only a 45-minute drive from Nagashima Outlet (Anpanman, amusement park) and Legoland. However, parking isn't included in the hotel fee, and it costs 2200 yen per day (as of January 2026).

We really love this hotel. Location is great as it is next to a garden and historical tea house. It's a short walk to Inuyama Castle and we do have the castle as our lovely breakfast view. The room is big and comes with a balcony with a nice view of the surrounding area. There is also an onsen at the hotel with indoor and outdoor baths! Hotel is also a short, scenic walk from the train station. I would love to come back again!

The airport shuttle drops you off right at the hotel entrance. Since I arrived early, the front desk attendant kindly offered to store my luggage. When I returned in the evening after exploring, I checked in. My room was on the 16th floor, as requested, and the bed was set up exactly how I wanted it. Despite facing the street, the room was incredibly quiet; I couldn't hear any noise from outside or the hallway. The hotel is conveniently located just a 6-7 minute walk from Fushimi Station, which is only one stop away from both Nagoya Station and Sakae Station. The hotel exudes an old-money charm, but it's exceptionally well-maintained, elegant, and spotless. The staff greeted every guest warmly. The room was quite spacious, and having a walk-in closet was a great bonus. It was cleaned daily, and the mini-fridge drinks were complimentary. The toiletries were Bulgari. Across from the hotel is Shimo-en Park, and the airport shuttle stop is right by the park, making it very convenient for families with multiple pieces of luggage or elderly members. Overall, the Nagoya Kanko Hotel left a profoundly positive impression on my trip to Nagoya.

Service 3/5: Standard service as expected from a hotel. Nothing that stands out but nothing to fault either. Room 3/5: Had a normal room with 1 double bed and a larger room with 2 beds. The size of the larger room with 2 beds was equivalent to 2 of the nornal rooms. Beds are a double bed so the size was good. The beds for the room with 2 beds were softer and had more padding then the normal single bed room which were hard. The primary issue I had is that there was no A/C and only heating when I was staying here. I booked a smoking room and there was the scent of smoke as expected for the single bed room. The room with 2 beds had no smoke smell even though it was a smoking room. Facilities 4/5: There are coin laundry machines and a water station to refill your water bottle which is nice. Location 5/5: The location is extremely convienient as it is extremely close to the main strain station. Which makes it a good stay if you are having a short 1-2 day stay in Nagoya before using the train. There are also malls nearby and even a Muji a few floors lower. Overall 3.75/5 Overall would stay again just for the convinient location

The room was pretty clean, but there was a persistent smell that bothered me throughout my week-long stay. That was quite frustrating. The facilities were good, and the location was excellent. There's a famous toast shop nearby, and it's super close to the subway, making it easy to get around by foot or public transport. It's also near the Meitetsu shopping area, and you can catch buses here for the outlets or even Shirakawa-go. Convenience is definitely the main selling point. For a business hotel, the basic amenities are perfectly adequate.

The lobby has a great artistic vibe. The hotel's location is superb, and nearby convenience stores are very handy. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit of a walk to the subway station, making it more suitable for families traveling by private car or chartered vehicle. On the bright side, the rooms are significantly more spacious than what you typically find in other Japanese hotels.
