The breakfast was good, among the pastries for breakfast their doughnut is the best. The Deluxe and the King/queen room is beautiful and worth the stay. I really enjoyed my stay here, the environment is also very serene and I will definitely be booking another stay here shortly.

Set in the city’s highbrow area of Ikeja, 3 miles from Murtala Muhammed International airport and ten minutes from the commercial district of Allen Avenue, is the luxury boutique CitiHeight Hotel. It is also in the vicinity of several global hotel brands including Ibis, Sheraton and Radisson Blu. Having booked our holiday straight after the Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s July 19th announcement, my daughter and I took our first post COVID-19 international trip in search of some culturally relevant inspiration. Lagos was a great option as it is on the UK government’s amber list of countries and a destination where we could really get immersed in the culture. Our UK airport experience was hectic to say the least, and we arrived a day later than scheduled. Even the most-prepared traveller is advised to have two or three back-up plans in case of “incaseities”. I sent a quick email to the hotel, explaining the last minute change in plans and luckily for us, Banji, the hotel manager was very accommodating and sympathetic to our plight. Upon arrival, we were treated like VIP’s by the polite and friendly hotel staff who took our luggage and escorted us to our room on the 6th floor. Prior to our travel, we had made reservations through booking.com and in response to our welcome email, we made a special request for “a high floor with a birds eye view”. While our preference was peace and privacy, we anticipated endless trips down to the restaurant and bar. Our executive room was pretty much like the photos on the website. Palatial, lustrous and spacious, featuring a plush king size bed with bespoke bedside cabinets and an inviting lounge area. Alongside the usual amenities, there was the obligatory hand sanitizer, but I couldn’t help but notice the bold and intriguing artwork decorating the walls. What a fantastic way to showcase emerging as well as established artists. CitiHeight is a luxury boutique hotel, on par with international standards, and I would go as far as calling it an ‘art hotel’ considering the vast art collection and attention to visual aesthetics. The allure for me was the authentic art pieces dotted throughout the hotel. From the hotel entrance, to the lobby, restaurant, and on every floor. I saw choice object d’art pieces that fused local elements of traditional art within the luxury architecture, giving the hotel a sense of high-end opulence fused with contemporary cool. I began to envisage a ‘classic meets contemporary’ theme for a photo shoot. Tip: Take some Instagrammable shots around the hotel (Do not touch artwork). Pool Life: When it comes to ‘pool life’ at CitiHeight, just grab a sunbed and relax. Although the pool lacks an outside view, poolside was a popular hangout for my daughter and her friends. Since it had a private/secret garden feel that was ideal for swimming, sipping cocktails and soaking up the sun during the day. Fantastic stay so far. We have been here couple of times and the level of the service has not changed. It has always been superb. The receptionist are usually very helpful and the waiters as well. Even the securities. Infact, you all are doing well

I had a great time at Ibis Hotel in Lagos. But my greatest disappointment was, my phone was stolen by one of the Ibis’ security guards. I resting at the pool side and I unfortunately slept off. When I got up, I couldn’t find my phone. Not knowing that a security guard on duty has stolen my iPhone 11. But we later retrieved the phone from him.

Nice environment and beautiful amenities

I spent 7 nights at Protea Hotel Ikeja Select. It was a trip I had made with my wife - who made made the pick of this hotel & done the booking. Anie (the Hotel Manager) attended to us at the reception. She went above & beyond to receive is and make us feel welcome. This lady maintained superb consistency in terms of customer service through out our stay. She deserves to work in the best hotels in the world - She is ”a natural” with guests. The room was okay - Room 138. There was an issue with the hotel floor and water leaked on the floor when we flushed. Beyond that the hotel staff were there to attend to our every need. I liked the proximity to Shoprite. I will definitely be returning and would love to stay in this hotel again. It gave me value for my money. Kudos to Anie, Veronica & Felicia as well as the gentleman who fries our eggs and all the guys at the reception.

The Colossus hotel was a welcome relief after my long search for a prestigious, modernized, and well - kept establishment. Most of the other hotels viewed, were very well kept in the lobby but the rooms were less than desirable. The suites were well kept and cared for and the staff was friendly and trustworthy. From the front desk to housekeeping, to management all staff was direct, accommodating, and hospitable. Although the building design leaves much to be desired, the interior is beautiful and very stylish. The rooftop pool area and restaurant was absolutely lovely as well. Also did I mention, extremely close to the airport? I had an absolutely wonderful stay.

Brilliant Experience!!!had a fantastic stay at the Lagos Intercontinental with my family, I stayed in a corner suite on the top floor which was just fantastic with ocean view. The room was large, with a great sitting area and large bath/shower room, with separate guest WC. The air conditioning was perfect and kept the room cool at all times. The hotel provided a high standard buffet breakfast, a fantastic bar area by the outdoor pool for relaxation. There is 24hrs security all around the hotel so I had no worries with safety. Also, Brilliant house keeping staff were all deligent.... Fatai, Chidi and rest-made my suite cleaner throughout my stay with full customer satisfaction. I would say right from check-in counter, to room service, breakfast and ordering food /drinks were excellent I will specially like to say a big thank you to front desk managers from the 2 Mr Adebayos Femi, Amarah and Mr John whom were all professional and did made my 2 weeks stay a memorable. I was well looked after and took care of all my complaints and making sure i was comfortable throughout. Thank you guys, you all are absolute gem, so helpful and friendly. I shall certainly return soon with my family for more heavenly experience. Cheers all.

wanted something different this weekend than our usual sceenery & locations. grounds are clean. staff is helpful, approachable and knowledable. ALL STAFF DEPARTMENTS SHOWED/ENABLED TEAM WORK accountability-which is rare ESPECIALLY for a chain(that'z evidence of TOP NOTCH professionalism). food was decent, room service is 24 hrs and there's a variety of cultural dishes from all ova the world. pool side is cool, there's also a cabana for those who wish to get cozzzziiieeee. also sitting area just for talking, sceenery, business/whateva. the rooms were decent size for the price and heart of the location. there are many entries within walking distance, local atms/bank branches along side. THEY DO NOT HAVE A ATM on site. above average on fridge in the rooms-you won't disappointed very sheek and above average on television size AND BRAND{trust me on this one, i am a travel nurse i have traveled MUCH}. from my experience all their rooms seem to have a sitting area within it-not usual for most hotels just anotha added benefit when lodgin with victoria crown on victoria lsland in lagos. the tubs are VERY deep-which is romantic and suffice for those looking to add to the moment OR just a great tub bath. BUT not very age friendly though, for the kiddies not safe for the disabled/matured/seniors/elderly a huge precaution/fright. YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL when getting out. not even a grab bar is present. all marble and glass. VERY VERY nice restroom and set up though. very update, with crown molding and all its extras. laundry service is great prompt on return and honest. NOT LIKE THE SHEARTON 4 POINT: all MY CLOTH returned bacc to me.......hhhmm. wifi connection wasn't that great. channel selection was fair. there is a bar and restaurant on site as well. my expereince with the gatemen the duration of my stay while going in and out was just as pleasant and professional as well. front desk staff presented very neat in uniform, spoke clearly and each were considered anytime we had a question on destination we wish to go, service they offered or in idea of what to eat. there is also a gym. there were children present NONE of which were in age to make inappropiate noises said to mention we had good nite sleep NO LOUD NOISES any of the dates at various times of the day, noon nite or weekend we were present-WHICH IS GOOD lol thank you again cynthia for makin our weekend GREAT EMPLOYEE AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. take care. stephen and bola egedegbe

Visiting a protea in Nigeria used to be a pleasure but since its relationship with Marriot quality of certain aspects has declined although not yet to the level of the former Sheraton in Abuja. Rooms are OK and the beds up to usual Sheraton standard. Pool is nice and the location facing the ocean pleasant if you have a room with a view. Access to the hotel is via a road in pretty poor shape.. Gym is small with a couple of treadmills, a gym machine, couple of bikes and a manual elliptical trainer. For me the pleasure of a Protea was its fantastic breakfast buffet. Sad to report this is no longer available with a very poor selection, instant coffee only, no decent meats or cheese, no pastries . Overall very disappointing for N14,00 ($30).. Internet connectivity just about OK..

Definitely one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in Lagos. This hotel is NOT 5 stars or luxury at all. First of all, check in takes an absolute decade! I spent about 40 minutes just trying to check in and the rooms person attending to me wasn’t even pleasant or warm. He was just acting like he was tired and started asking me for my phone number and email. I told him to use those provided for my office and he was being difficult about it so I lost my patience and yelled before he dropped the matter. Another lady then came over to assist. After the long and annoying checking in, I finally got to my room on the 4th floor and was surprised by the amenities. VERY BASIC, nothing luxurious for the price one pays to stay here. Room was small, bed was small (definitely not king size), bathroom is basic and outdated. Everything is very old and my biggest complaint, the room is only equipped with ONE PLUG! So if you need an extension cord, they tell you to pay a deposit of 5,000 Naira to put one in your room otherwise you only get one plug. I have never in my life experienced such farce. How can a hotel chain not have plugs for customers staying to charge their phones and laptops????? This is definitely the LAST TIME I’m staying here. I have nothing nice to say about the hotel. Only thing I enjoyed was the pool but you’re better off staying somewhere else and just coming in to use the pool. I recommend Lagos Continental or Eko Hotel if you’re looking for a comfortable and luxurious hotel experience. This is definitely not it.

Great place

Spacious rooms and quite clean. Very helpful housekeeping staff. Dirty water in the swimming pool. At the reception they are a bit too slow and a bit too shy, but always trying to satisfy any requests. Food in the restaurant is always the same and not particularly impressive. The most of the time they take very long time to deliver in the room, or just need a very long time to take your order. Actually if they are busy doing some paper works, they ignoring you util you don't request attention. Definitely they need to improve their customer service. Pay attention to the dirty tables keep the terrace organised and be more efficient. We want to thank the new joiner for his different service Mr. Omo, you are the best
