Was confused as to how to get to the hotel as it is not a whole building for the hotel, instead mixed inside the apartment building. Was arrived by DiDi at night and it was freezing cold, with luggages at hand, and called the property however the person didn’t speak english. After using the message function then the translation can helped us communicate better, and the person in charge came outside of the building to pick me up and helped me with my luggages.
Room was spacious with the view of sea in some distance can be seen. Only stayed 1 night during transit so I cannot review any further. There was free airport drop off provided, which helped.
Overall I would be staying here again the next time I’m having a transit at Fuzhou.

I booked this hotel by accident and last minute, but fortunately the hotel was amazing, reasonable price, complete facilities, and make my stay amazing and comfort. all the hectic days in airport was gone. this hotel very recommended if you want layover a while to Fuzhou Airport.

Nice place with very friendly service, and the rooms are very clean. Breakfast is included and offers a good variety of food. Although the nearest metro station is a few minutes’ walk away, the metro line is not very convenient for reaching some popular tourist attractions in Xiamen. However, Xiamen is a small island, so taking a taxi is always an easy option.
环境很好，服务非常友好，房间也很干净。早餐包含在内，种类丰富。虽然最近的地铁站步行几分钟就能到，但这条线路前往厦门的一些热门旅游景点不太方便。不过厦门是个不大的岛，打车出行也非常方便。

Clean and modern, nicely located upon the beautiful sea shore only a few miles away from the airport, staff is helpful and nice, but on the dark side - amenities are quite limited unlike what you expect in 5 stars (things like shower gel and etc.), there's nothing in mini bar, room service menu is very short and the service works only during the normal hours, breakfast is quite poor for 5 stars and so on. Even getting a morning code or additional blanket could be a problem (unsolvable in our case), and some of the venues inside the hotel are just closed. So, generally - do not expect a real 5 stars here, it is not.

It is close from the airport, they provided free airport shuttle and the young man at the front desk was really kind, I think I would like to have this kind of staff if I was running a hotel company. %100 recommended. Room was clean and comfortable.

Amazing service! Despite arriving at 11 p.m, we called the owner and the owner responded immediately even though it was already late at night. The owner was very helpful in helping us installing wechat and carrying our bags. Then, we asked him whether he could send us to the airport at 5 a.m. Surprisingly, he knocked on our door the next day to check up on us for the transport to airport.

We liked the airport pick up services and drop off arrangements.No advance booking required for our transport pick up and the boss is good to provide his hospitality services.
The boss send us to the nearby food stalls for us to take dinner.

Iivy_5471Every year when I come to Xiamen, I stay at the Swiss Grand for a few days, and this is my fourth time. What attracts me most to the Swiss Grand is its excellent location and rooms directly facing Gulangyu Island. I have to say, the Swiss Grand meets all my needs for a trip to Xiamen.
First, let's talk about the location. It's situated in the heart of Siming District, right next to Zhongshan Road. You can walk to Bashi Market, the Botanical Garden, and Xiamen Ferry Terminal. Taking a taxi to Nanputuo Temple, Shapowei, the Twin Towers, and Xiamen University is always just the starting fare. The Exit to the hotel is also the starting station of Metro Line 1, which goes directly to Gaoqi Airport.
Then there's the room facing Gulangyu Island – it's absolutely unbeatable! It completely matches my aesthetic. Whenever I sit by the floor-to-ceiling window in my room, enjoying the beautiful Gulangyu Island opposite, with a cup of black tea, I feel utterly content. What's even more impressive is that the room is very spacious, well-equipped, and the quality is consistently high. It offers excellent value for money!
The breakfast is very rich, with a wide variety of Western and Chinese options, plus local specialties – you name it, they have it, and it all tastes great. The service is excellent; the greeters at the entrance are very attentive. The front desk was a bit ordinary, but customer service responded promptly and was always helpful.
The only slight drawback was the slow check-in process. This might be due to the hotel being fully booked during the Chinese New Year holiday, but it also reflects that the hotel doesn't have good solutions for handling such surges in guests. We waited over an hour to check in, and at that time, one guest had waited three hours and still hadn't gotten into their room, and ended up arguing with the front desk... This had a very negative impact on the hotel's image. I hope they can further improve their management during holidays!

Housekeeping/Butler: Esther from Conrad Xiamen deserves a five-star rating! She was not only warm and attentive but also provided excellent travel recommendations and room service, among other things. She made our 4-day trip to Xiamen an unforgettable experience. Thank you!
Facilities: Although there was a rare water shut-off due to construction, it didn't actually cause any inconvenience. Some buttons in the room (for curtains, bathroom lights) had poor contact, but it was acceptable.

2203803****The Bayview B&B was definitely the highlight of this trip. The warm welcome from the front desk staff and the owner made me feel right at home, completely erasing any sense of unfamiliarity. The room was even more spacious than it appeared in the photos, with excellent natural light. The balcony view was an added bonus; sitting there in the evening, enjoying the breeze, was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast was a delightful surprise – fresh ingredients and beautifully presented, really showing the owner's thoughtfulness. It's incredibly good value for money, and I genuinely recommend it to everyone! A special shout-out to the kind and attentive housekeeper, who provided such thoughtful service that it almost made me feel bad. Unforgettable! I'll definitely be back next year.

GGuest UserI love IHG hotels and would usually choose to stay with them around the world if possible. And choose to stay at intercontinental Xiamen( in a CBD area) even though the location is far from tourist area I didn’t mind traveling a bit but I don’t think I would choose to stay here again. As the hotel didn’t feel up to standard for ihg group . There was a lot of wear and tear on the wall and the washroom. The cleanness of the rooms was not up to standard I found hair and dust / particles in the washroom table. They cleaned it up right after telling front desk but received a call saying it was the marble cracked which was clearly excuse . After returning the little dust particles were still there. Bathtub was definitely not scrubbed down . Felt a layer of residue or something when touched . Lots of dirt or dust or wall chipping or whatever particle it was on the corner of washroom table. And dusts in the corners . The breakfast was very Mediocre for ihg . Even though there was a variety of selections the taste was not there. Cooked food look like it sat there for awhile. The noodle bar was good tho with choice satay or clear soup and the freshly cooked wonton was tasty. I didn’t like how some things weren’t filled up just because it was 15min to closing. I do like how they provide kids with sand bucket tools to play at the beach . Overall it was still a pretty pleasant stay but I would not choose this ihg branch next time .

MMIssOur overall experience at the hotel was fantastic. The French chateau-style environment is absolutely stunning and creates a wonderful ambiance. The hotel is right by the sea, making evening strolls and enjoying the breeze incredibly relaxing and perfect for unwinding. Our room was spacious and comfortable, never feeling cramped, and offered excellent ocean views. The dining options were extensive, and the food quality was very good. This place is generally quiet and pleasant, a welcome escape from the city bustle. It was the perfect choice for our last night in Xiamen, allowing us to rest well and end our trip in a relaxed and comfortable way. It's truly an ideal spot for a vacation.

JJogger91Okay, but much better options exist if you have the money and book in advance.
First of all, its a separate class of hotel situated within the very same Marriot (which is higher end), so consider this a class below the actual Marriot. The exit is separate, and leads mostly to nowhere, and you will most likely enter the real Marriot part of the building at first, but thankfully staff knows this is a common mistake and leads you through a small hallway of about 200m to the other reception where you will be greeted by just as professional staff.
They don't include any toiletries but will deliver them swiftly to the room door if you need any, I guess its ecological, in their mind, but practically..ultimately pointless and saves no one's time and energy.
The room itself is a bit of a step down from regular 4* chain hotels - the size, the leather on the furniture is torn and worn a bit, and it shows its age and class. There are similarly priced competitors within the same 1-2km range, who do a much better job, plus better view, for a few bucks more. It should be priced a bit lower in order to be a good deal and vibe for the money. Ultimately an okay hotel, no one will be disappointed, but the value to me just isn't there, and the real Marriot is in the same building, but you are getting the cheaper version of it, watered down.

My relatives and I came to Xiamen, and they highly recommended this hotel as they had stayed here before. Indeed, the service attitude was excellent, living up to its five-star standard. The hotel food was delicious, and there's a supermarket downstairs with affordable food and drinks, which is very convenient. The only downside is that sometimes it's hard to get a taxi, which can be frustrating! Plus, there's a large, lovely park right next to it.

GGuobao^_^Overall, it was pretty good. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. The pier is about 500 meters from the entrance, and it's just a fifteen-minute boat ride to Xiamen No. 1 Pier, making it easy to go anywhere. A concierge even proactively helped us with directions to the pier; he was really enthusiastic 👍. The ferry ticket to Gulangyu Island was only 35 RMB, and the hotel breakfast was decent too.
Regarding the upgrade to a deluxe sea-view room (subject to availability on the day): I booked a superior sea-view room, and the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe sea-view family room.
For the mini-bar, you need to proactively contact the front desk for refills.
Also, for the cute little souvenir doll included in the package, you need to ask the front desk for it.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, close to all the attractions. There's a subway station and a bus stop right outside, and it's just a 10-minute walk to Lujiang Night Tour Pier and Zhongshan Road. We paid extra to upgrade to a sea-view room, and the view from the window was stunning, with Guliangyu Island visible and the Twin Towers lit up at night. The room was spacious and clean, with complete and tidy facilities. The carpet and wallpaper looked new. The buffet was reasonably priced with a good variety, including local Xiamen specialties. There were many clean and delicious street food stalls right outside the hotel, which was a nice local touch. The staff were very helpful; the attendant by the elevator in the lobby even pressed the buttons for guests.
