Hotel Beach di Shandong, China

This is an absolute gem among all the hotels I've stayed in over 15 years of traveling across 40 countries. The design of the rooms, corridors, and common areas is stunning and truly unique. There’s an arcade machine in the room with Nintendo games from my childhood… It feels like the hotel owner's personal signature style - and it's the most amazing highlight of this place! A special afternoon tea with fantastic cookies is a wonderful service. Breakfast is usually a buffet, as far as I understand, but on the day of my stay, there was no buffet, and breakfast was served individually for each guest. Still, it was very good and filling. The location is excellent - right next to the bus station. That means you can check in immediately after arriving from the airport by airport bus, or leave your luggage if you arrive early. Getting anywhere in the city is also easy, quick and cheap by local buses. The room was very comfortable: quiet and very warm (I stayed during the cold season), exceptionally clean, with a great bathroom, and everything was in perfect condition. The bed was very comfortable with amazingly soft pillows worthy of a high-end hotel - and they even provide several pillows with different levels of softness! The staff's attitude toward guests is excellent: I'm a light sleeper, and quietness is important to me, but in Asia this is often a problem even in expensive hotels. So when booking, I requested a quiet room on a high floor and away from the elevator - and my wishes were fulfilled perfectly. And for all of this, the price is simply incredible. This hotel is worth traveling to Yantai just to stay here! Overall, it's a masterpiece. The only places I've seen that are better are classic five-star hotels, but even they don't have such outstanding interior design and arcade machines. 😊 And if you were born in the 1980s, you absolutely have to stay at this hotel to play the games of your childhood on a real arcade machine right in your room. 😊

It was a very satisfying stay overall. The staff were friendly and responded quickly whenever I needed assistance. Thanks to Liu and Ding, I was able to stay very comfortably. I really appreciate their help. Location – The location is very convenient. It’s within about a 10-minute walk to Wanxiangcheng and around 5 minutes to May Fourth Square. It was also easy to catch a taxi right in front of the hotel. Room – The room was spacious and apartment-style, which makes it a great option for stays longer than one night. It was clean, and the slippers were replaced daily. The refrigerator was large, and having a separate living room makes it especially suitable for families. The only minor downside was that the bathroom shower head was quite small and a bit inconvenient to use. I brought a portable shower head, which worked well for me. And the hair dryier was not that good. Overall, it was a very satisfying place to stay. I had a great experience.

Beautiful ocean view and lovely room, I really enjoyed my few days of sunsets and mornings here! Not the cleanest room or newest building, but everything works and it's amazing for the price. The smart home voice feature for lights and curtains was so useful. Deposit required at check-in. The staff is very responsive and helpful, after notifying them about a broken screen in the room they already dispatched people to help fix it within minutes. I had zero issues with takeout being delivered to the room which made breakfast and meals easy. I came to Weihai for the snowy beach but the weather was disappointingly good lol. However it was a relaxing staycation because of this homestay and I'm so glad I decided to choose this place in the end!!

A fantastic hotel, especially the Muji-style design. It's clean and comfortable overall, and the location is superb – right on the beach and surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores. If you're planning a day trip to Weihai, this is the perfect place to stay, as it's the departure and arrival point, making it incredibly convenient. The receptionist was also exceptionally friendly

The price is cheap and big. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay~

Love this hotel. Easy to locate and it is facing a popular beach- the Shilaoren beach. Hotel room windows looks directly on the beach and the massive sea....amazing views! Staff are friendly, attentive, helpful and prompt. Room layout and ambience are great. It is easy to walk from the hotel along the boardwalk along the coastal walk to the city, passing the sculpure park, art museum, exhibition hall, etc....fabulous location.

When booking this hotel, I was looking at the Marriott branding for familiarity but forgot to check on its location. This hotel is in the midst of factories and coal electric stations. It is far from everything. The hotel itself is typical Marriott. The beds are comfortable. We had ocean views, which is nice. We also had a balcony but being there in winter, it is cold and only a few people wandered onto the beach. The DiDi driver said that the streets are packed during the summer months with cars being allowed to park along the sides and block off a lane of traffic on either side. The breakfast buffet is nice and had a good variety everyday. Whereas all the other Chinese 4-5 star hotels allowed free self service laundry, Marriott charged for laundry per item like their counterparts in the US and had no self service laundry. Overall, a nice stay but too far from everything.

先説優點，環境位置滿分，房間面積也比較大，距離湖非常近，如果選湖景房房間落地窗看向湖的方向很舒服（注意⚠️他們分城市景觀和湖景，城市看不到湖，湖景房也分不同檔次，越貴當然朝向湖的方向也越好），距離停車場也很近，地上可充電限時免費，地下跟前台報車牌免費24小時，1樓還有很多美食。 缺點💣投影儀比較老舊還需要手動安裝，我們自己調試了半天，清晰度一般 💣房間窗簾開關有電動遙控器，但是衹能控制一個窗户的，其他兩個窗户還需要跑過去手動控制，不方便 💣房間WIFI信號巨差！在房間裏我們自己手機的流量變成4G，打電話問前台WiFi，説是沒有房間獨立的WiFi，衹能跟樓內所有人連接同一個公共的網絡，WiFi信號衹有兩格。我當時就在想都2026年了，我衹能用着4G網和2格的信號，看某音刷視頻要等半天……

I recently stayed at this place, which is conveniently located near the Badaguan area. The room was decent – nothing extraordinary but it was clean and functional for my needs. The view from my room wasn’t the best, but I understand that it really depends on the room type you choose. One downside I found was that the restaurants and cafes weren’t very close, which made it a bit inconvenient when looking for places to grab a bite. Overall, it was an okay experience.
