My wife and I are from the US and stayed at Lilienberg for three nights in mid-September. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend a stay here. We had a bright room looking out over the lake. The room was extremely clean (as was everything at Lilienberg) and the water pressure in the shower was amazing! We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning. The buffet had many high-quality options — eggs, fruit, meat and cheeses — as well as an excellent coffee machine. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant one night and had an excellent meal —- fresh local fish and vegetables and Swiss wine. Highly recommend eating on the outdoor patio. We ate at local restaurants the other two nights (walking distance) and enjoyed those as well. The grounds of the hotel were magnificent — well-manicured and extremely clean. Although we did not use the indoor pool, it looked beautiful. The hotel staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. While we were at the hotel on a personal trip, we saw some of the conference facilities — all looked state-of-the-art and well-maintained. Lilienberg also offered a good jumping-off point to view the area — we went to Stein am Rhein and Säntis by car. We look forward to coming back to the area and staying at Lilienberg.

Stayed one night, nice charming, very old building, family type small hotel with old but clean minimalist room, small basic bathroom. In my room window on the side of the street, occasionally noisy, especially if windows open. No A/C. Restaurent with nice small terrace is good but not extraordinary, good selection on the wine list. Everyone working was nice and polite. Very good breakfast. Would be perfect place at 160 Sfr. If must stay in that are for a night, probably best choice, anyway.

En apparence, l'hôtel semble bien et confortable mais ce n'est qu'en apparence. Il peut faire chaud en Suisse, voir très chaud (＞ 30°C) donc il faut savoir que la clim n'existe pas en Suisse (lu à plusieurs reprises dans mes recheches d'hôtels...) et celui-ci ne déroge pas à la régle. Il n'y pas pas de ventilateur dans les chambres non plus, donc cela devient vite une étuve. Il y a un système d'aération interne mais il est inéfficace en cas de forte chaleur, donc il faut ouvrir les fenêtres pour essayer de dormir la nuit... et cela peut être bruyant (Nous avions une chambre avec vue sur le lac, enfin sur la parking et la rue devrais je dire) Bien sur, l'hôtel n'est pas responsable des nuisances exterieures (jeunes qui écoutent de la musique après minuits au bord du lac, entretient des voies (tonte des herbes) à 7h00 du matin, mais c'est bon de le savoir. Fenêtre fermée c'est parfait. Le lit est très bas et le matelas peu confortable. La douche est excellente même si elle est placée un peu trop prêt des toilettes. Concernant le petit déjeuner, je reste dubitatif sur les produits locaux qui semblent plutôt venir du supermaché du coin (pas très bon tout comme les oeufs brouillés et les jus de fruit industriels) Malgré le lac à proximité, c'est à Contance que vous vous rendrez, pour y prendre un verre et y manger, l'environnement de l'hôtel n'a rien à offrir de charmant. Avantage, le parking est gratuit.
