It is an old hotel. I have no expectation as for the price I paid. However, if you are staying here for conference, you may have a better choice of hotel. The queue for breakfast can be troublesome.

Have already stayed several times in the Carathotel. Everything is modern and practical. Though the rooms are not luxurious, they are very functional and beds are comfortable. Everything from check-in to check-out can be done online or at the check-in tablet stations. Great location to main shopping areas (Kö) and just 10 min walk to the main train station. Bonus are the fantastic luxury Edeka supermarket in the same building, as well as access to the very funky John Reed gym just around the corner for just EUR 5 through the hotel.

Das Hotel liegt in Köln recht zentral. Auch die Möglichkeit direkt im Hotel zu frühstücken hat wohl den Ausschlag für die Buchung gegeben. Jedoch schon bei der Ankunft zeigte sich das an der Rezeption vor und nach mir es wohl Lautstärkedifferenzen zwischen den Buchungen der anreisenden Gäste und den Verständnis, der nur bedingt deutsch sprechenden Dame an der Rezeption gab. Mein mitreißender Kollege hat er eindeutig Frühstück mit bestellt. Musste dies aber am nächsten Morgen lautstark einfordern. Ich selbst, bin sehr viel in Hotels unterwegs hab es aber extrem selten erlebt, dass das Personal gegenseitig immer wieder lautstark vorgestern um Abläufe, welche eingeübt sein sollten, stritten. Mein Zimmer selbst war abgewohnt und hatte wohl den Flair der 1980 Jahre. Stromkabel einfach an die Wand geklebt, mit der Hoffnung, dass diese sich nicht wieder lösen. Insgesamt würde ich dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen. Was den Grund, dass Mitarbeiter und Gäste sich ständig negativ anschreien.

Very new and clean. Location is ok, can walk to train station around 800 metre~15 minutes. I love the buffet breakfast, very variety. The staff at breakfast area very so diligent. The negative thing is the reception lady never smile to me, I prefer the man at reception always say Good morning to customer!

Hygien, room, bed, quietness everything was great except that I got this problem with the receptionists. So I did explain to all the receptionist (that I saw-because I understand they work in shifts) that I lost 2 luggages due to the airline's mistake and airline will send them to this hostel where I would be staying (for 1 night only). I explained that if someone sent luggages here, please tell me asap because I needed to catch a train to Amsterdam the nextday noon. Imagine 35kg of personal belongs just dissapeared, I didnt have toothbrush, clean clothings.... I reminded them everything 3-4 hours when I saw a receptionist. After almost 27 hours of waiting in worry (which made me cannot enjoy the city), I talked to one receptionist to please check 1 more time becauze the airlines mailed me that they did send to the hostel at 4:30pm in the day I checked-in hostel, (only 4-5 hours after my flight time), she let me go it the luggage room and my luggages were there the whole time! So I waited in pain for 22 hours for nothing. I think it would be a bit obvious when 1 guy in delivery company uniform went in with 2 luggages and said ”this is from one of your customer.” But the receptionist just forgot it quickly and didnt tell me. I had to change a lot of my plan and I was feeling terible and stressful with the waiting and fear of lost luggages. Beside that, the condition of rooms, facilities, warm water, sound proof windows were great.

It’s my first time writing a review, in my opinion, the hotel is too good to be true. Very good value for the price. 10 mins away walking from the train station. I don’t think it’s so far from the city center. For me it’s walkable distance. (By Uber is around 8eur to the city center) Everything in our room is clean and comfy! I recommended ;)

There was no air conditioning (AC) even though the hotel advertised as having it. Their excuses was that it was too cool at night to operate the AC for the hotel even though it was actually very warm outside. Translation: the entire hotel is either on heat or AC, they are too frugal to allow use of the advertised AC, or their system is outdated and does not actually work properly. Very hot and stuff room. The odd thing was is that the hotel lobby seemed to have AC. The hallways and room were uncomfortably hot. Upon checking in there was only a little bit of toilet paper was left on the roll. Fortunately there was an extra roll provided. Only a few sheets of Kleenex were in the box. Also, the hand soap dispenser was nearly empty. It seems not much care is given to the rooms between guests. On our last day the housekeeper knocks on the door early in the morning even tough the “do not disturb” sign was hung on the door. It was a basic room with furnishings that included a desk, a small round table, 2 small nightstands, a desk chair, and one sitting chair. There was no usable refrigerator, just a mini bar. The was only one suitcase rack situated in the closet. We had to use the sitting chair for our other suitcase. The beds were not too comfortable. Also the pillow case did not completely cover the pillow, so your head might rest upon the exposed portion of the pillow where the lasts hundreds of guest placed their heads. Bathroom was OK but a bit smelly. The shower had low water pressure. Some water will leak out under the shower door to the floor. Stepping over the high tub with a slippery shower floor is a bit precarious. Internet speed was 3.81 Mbps in both upload and download, with 8 ms latency. The location is near the chocolate museum and a good pizza and pasta restaurant is nearby. The cathedral is less than a mile away. At almost 400 euros a night, it was very expensive for a poor experience. Perhaps HN stands for “Not Happy.”

Die Lage ist gut, zu Fuß ca. 15 Minuten zum Dom, in einer einigermaßen ruhigen Seitenstraße. Zimmer sind sauber und gut ausgestattet aber klein. Hier sind wohl einige Häuser zusammengefügt worden, es wird deswegen wohl Unterschiede in der Größe der Zimmer geben. Schöne und große Auswahl zum Frühstück, welches auf der Website für einen unschlagbaren Preis inkludiert war. Tiefgarage gegen Gebühr vorhanden, zu breit sollte das Auto dafür nicht sein. Check In und Out hat wunderbar funktioniert.

The Hotel shows five stars! The room had no wifi whatsoever, although they showed three different wifi lans. Attempts to bridge this gap with mobile hotspots were not helpful. Noises from other rooms were audible, which means a bad noise insulation. Worst of all was that there was first only boiling hot water in the bathroom. This was due to the fact that all cold water supplies were closed. Still after opening them ourselves, one of the two lavatories cold water regulator was not functional. Shocking was that the shower was switching from regulated 38 degrees Celsius to suddenly boiling hot water and then to ice cold water. This made showering an unpleasant not to say dangerous encounter! You judge if this Hotel deserves the five star rating. Our attempt to communicate the shortcomings was prompted with the statement that the maintenance technicians had left! (???)

This hotel is located in the city center, near by the kolin church, shopping road and train station.Very clean and good room. But the front receptionist one fat girl is not friendly when I asked her the parking place. She only shows you a paper and told you to take photo of it, scan the address QR code and find the parking place by yourself. It's hard to find the correct direction for a new visitor. Besides this, everything is fine.

Wir mussten leider einen very late check in machen (ca. 02:30), was aber überhaupt kein Problem war. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten über Booking.com ein Zimmer für 3 Personen gebucht, das vor Ort leider nicht mehr verfügbar war. Wir wurden ganz unproblematisch und ohne Mehrkosten auf zwei Comfort-Doppelzimmer „verteilt“ und bekamen noch ein Getränk aus der Hausbar for free als Entschuldigung dazu. Die Zimmer selbst sind sehr gut ausgestattet und komfortabel. Das inbegriffene Frühstück war der „Hammer“ und sehr reichhaltig und vielfältig. Von uns absolut zu empfehlen. Ein Parkhaus gibt es gleich nebenan und hat uns nichts gekostet.

For my first trip to Cologne, my one-week stay at AMERON was delightful, so I hope I will be a returning guest soon! The hotel's location is perfect for catching different public transport means quickly and efficiently. The room was well-lighted, spacious, great for relaxing but also working, and had a pleasant modern warm aesthetic. The restaurant had delicious quality food (breakfast selection was very diverse, dinner too was always tasty), ”served” with a stylish and cozy atmosphere. The hotel's staff as well as the restaurant's staff were very friendly and had a lot of benevolent patience with my rusty German speaking skills! Communication was easy, professional, but also comfortable, in both German and English. Very happy with my choice, my heartfelt thanks to all the staff!

This was my first time back since my military days and having travelled through Germany in the 3 years I was here, I haven’t changed my opinion that Cologne is the best city to visit. This time I was here for the FIBO fair and stayed at the Mercure for the first time. As expected it was first class and the hospitality of its staff was impeccable. The hotel is out to the west which means a 20-30 minute tram ride into the main area around the cathedral and river but once you master the payment system you will enjoy the experience, with the trams being on time throughout. The only criticism is that being a fitness person and witnessing others like me staying at the hotel, the gym was poor consisting of only 3 cardio machines in a tiny room. A small set of dumbbells would be a welcome addition and would have justified a 5 star instead of the 4 I have given. Otherwise well done to all the staff for a highly enjoyable stay. The location is near the station and quite good to get nearby locations. The Asian restaurant nearby is great and a few Chinese restaurant is just a few hundred meter away. The gym is good and the breakfast is decent. Sparkle water is free provided in the lobby.

First impressions were reasonable, but during our first morning at the hotel, everything soon went downhill. From 8am till around 4pm there were two separate 'evacuations' into the hotel lobby with fire and police services being called both times. After the first evacuation, we went into town, came back 4 hours later, only for the whole hotel to be evacuated again!! Hotel staff were short tempered and nasty, bluntly barking at us to evacuate with hours going by until they finally told us there'd been a water leak. An emergency situation is understandable and I'm not bothered about that event, but the staff's handling of it was utterly poor. A question about needing to return to a hotel room, after several hours of waiting, to collect an inhaler for asthma, was met with grossly insensitive jokes about secretly taking ecstasy and then we were ignored. This whole ordeal largely amounted to the hot water being switched off, which then remained off for several days. One staff member teased we would get 'freebies' from the hotel as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience; this did not happen. The main hotel lifts became unusable and after being instructed to use the service lifts instead, a bartender charged towards us screaming and being unbelievably hostile, refusing to let us pass or listen to what other hotel staff had literally just informed us to do. His behaviour was diabolical, but he made no apologies for himself and excused himself from the conversation. It was outrageous seeing the entire hotel be displaced in such a clunky and slapdash way. Most of the hotel staf were rude, blunt and pompous. One single receptionist was polite and friendly, and that was the woman who checked us out. Every three or four hours someone was knocking at our door or entering our room for cleaning purposes; we could scarcely relax. We've never felt so harassed in a hotel. The hotel cups provided were barely fit for a gobful of drink and they even took away our only spoon to stir our drinks. The sanitisation standards of the hotel were inadequate, failing to provide basic antibacterial or hand soaps in rooms; I had to use a face soap to wash my hands and the red seating between the lobby and bar was heavily stained with black marks. The restaurant always seemed closed, tha bar never had more than three tables with customers, the bar layout was so cramped that I banged my leg trying to take a seat and the entire hotel decor was dreary and miserable. Most of the TV channels didn't work either. I think the only positives were having a free apple from the bowl in reception every day and ultimately leaving the hotel forever!

This hotel is the BEST in Dusseldorf. The service is beyond exceptional (esp Masood and Daniel- they went out of their way) The location is fantastic. Close enough to the old town and right across the beautiful Konigsalle shops and beautiful tree and water lined avenue. Great rooms and beautiful lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel.

這是本次歐洲行，最貴的一個酒店，本來抱着很好的期待，最後是無盡的失望。 因為是歐洲盃去看球，這個酒店屬於凱悦集團，我非常信任凱悦，就定了套房。遇到了幾個問題，給大家避雷: 1這個酒店是法院改造的，非常特殊，所以進門的時候，行李全靠門廊小夥和自己提上去，我的行李很多很重，我認為這很不合理，也很費勁。 2我預訂是雙床行政套房，既沒有給雙床，酒店也沒有設定行政樓層。最後告訴我滿房了，不能調整。我提出給我加個床，來解決問題。 3打掃衞生不靠譜。卧室一個床，它還不乾淨，床頭枕頭下一個死蒼蠅，噁心壞了。我立刻告訴前台來換，也沒給補償。還是攜程靠譜，給我補償了幾百塊錢，表達心意。我覺得一個酒店衞生這麼差，也很難做的好。 4早餐食物發黴。早餐品種多，但都難吃。水果還發黴！這個真的醉了，噁心極了。品控一塌糊塗。 5早餐服務差。服務人員態度惡劣，愛答不理。這是其他酒店一點沒遇到的，這個酒店特別明顯。 6比賽當天不給用餐廳。7.6那天比賽日，我們去看球前，出發之前想去pitti 吃頓飯。結果告訴我，不給使用餐廳，原因不明！ 這個酒店如果一個晚上2000，我覺得也就算了，也就這點水準。拜託，這是6000多9一個晚上的酒店，這個服務水平也太差了吧！ 特別是死蒼蠅、發黴水果，噁心到家了！請大家抵制這個酒店，不要去！

Das Hotel ist vergleichbar das best Hotel in Düsseldorf. Die Personal sind sehr freundlich und das Restaurant ist ziemlich teuer aber schmeckt super. Essen für zwei Personen kostet ca. 350€ 这个酒店相比是杜塞尔多夫最好的酒店。服务态度很好，餐厅也非常美味。只是价格偏高。两人用餐大概需要350欧元。

Very good location and easy to arrival and park your car, the reception employees are very friendly and helpful, the room was very nice and clean, nice view on the garden, near the brand shops and the old town and close to the nice garden for walking.

location is A+. 2 minuite walk to the Heinrich underground station which takes you straight to the Messe. Hotel is nice. strange layout but its a medieval building so its part of the charm. Front desk leaves much to desire for a 5 star hotel. the room is ok. was given room 131. mattress was collapsed and definitely not commercial 5 star hotel standard.felt more of a foam cushion than a mattress with just 10 cm height of cushioning. i am 1.87 mtrs height and 110kgs. the mattress went concave when i lied down and my upper back muscles namely rhomboids and lats felt it badly in the morning. Advised the front desk who replied nothing can be done because all mattresses are like that. i don't insist or complain further if i am refused or rejected the first time i ask. on my checkout i advised front desk whose manager was present and i advised i was very happy with location but not with bed. i had no reply from her and she moved away stating in awe that no one had such an issue. on a positive note the breakfast operators who were very attentive and courteous at all times. for 950 euros for 3 nights i think they are very lacking in not being able to provide the basic hotel service of a good nights rest.

I can’t say enough about our stay here except that I wish I could have stayed for longer. The staff and service was perfect from start to finish, being highly professional but personable at the same time.

Lovely hotel. Super conveniently located! Only 3 minutes walk from Düsseldorf main train station, 20 or so minute from DÜSSELDORF airport with taxi. Connected to several regional train lines. Right at the hotel entrance there is a tram stop, that would connect you to the whole city or take you with one min trip drive to the HBF. The hotel have a restaurant that offers an extensive breakfast buffet. They were on a soft opening phase, yet the breakfast is super exclusive, also have vegan and vegetarian options. The staff is super attentive and caring. Got a room with a balcony, a friend of mine with 2 kids got an amazing connected room in the ground floor overlooking the hotel garden! Suitable hotel for business travels, tourists who wanna stay in the hub of the city and families. I think the hotel have 2 buildings and both are elevator accessible and also for visitors with wheelchairs. I haven’t been in a meeting there but the hotel also offer meeting spaces and meeting rooms. I have seen the signs in the elevators. Wifi is available and free of charge too. I don’t have a car but my friend did. The hotel doesn’t offer a parking place, but it wasn’t a problem for us. There are parking places that are available around the main station area or in nearby parkings. Or you can park on the street around the hotel at an extra cost. It is a bit costly to park per hour, would recommend to park per 24 hour. Last but not least the hotel offers an amazing work area, with a huge table with plugs for laptops suitable for businessmen, students and anyone who would like to remotely work from a comfy convenient place. Prices are super suitable for coffee, drinks etc.

Sehr geehrte Leserinnen und Leser, als unzufriedener Gast möchte ich gerne meine Erfahrung in diesem Hotel teilen. Zunächst muss ich sagen, dass die zentrale Lage des Hotels positiv ist. Auch die beeindruckende Eingangshalle aus rotem Marmor im orientalischen Stil hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Mein Zimmer im 5. Stock war angenehm groß und bot einen guten Ausblick auf die Stadt. Leider liegt das das Hotel an der Kreuzung zweier Hauptverkehrsstraßen. Dies bedeutet, dass der Verkehr rund um die Uhr sehr stark ist und insbesondere nachts, wenn die Poser-Szene hier ihre PS-starken Autos ausprobiert, I wurde dadurch nachts immer wieder geweckt. Auch die Austattung ist einfach und in die Jahre gekommen. Die Gardine fiel mir sofort beim Aufziehen entgegen, da die Halterung defekt war und sich nicht mehr befestigen ließ. Das extrem hellhörige Zimmer war auch ein großes Problem, da ich jedes Geräusch aus den angrenzenden Zimmern hören konnte. Das Frühstück war eine große Enttäuschung, da minderwertige Waren verwendet wurden, die billigsten auf dem Markt erhältlich sind. Alles in allem war dies das letzte Mal, dass ich in diesem Hotel übernachtet habe. Am zweiten Tag bin ich morgens liebe in eine Bäckerei gegangen. Ich kann leider keine Empfehlung für dieses Hotel aussprechen und rate potentiellen Gästen, sich nach einer besseren Option umzusehen. Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Ein unzufriedener Gast

Aufgrund der angenehmen Erfahrung zuvor in einem IntercityHotel haben wir für unsere Fahrradtouren rund um Dortmund das IntercityHotel Dortmund ausgesucht, zumal dieses auch preislich im Rahmen lag. Die Lage ist natürlich unschlagbar - nur ca. 200m vom Hauptbahnhof und ca. 300m von der U-Bahn ”Kampstraße” dazu unmittelbar in der Fußgängerzone von Dortmund. Mit dem kostenfreien ÖPNV-Ticket vom Hotel kann man unbegrenzt alles ÖPNV-Verkehrsmittel gratis nutzen und das eigene Auto kann bequem auf dem Hotelparkplatz stehen bleiben. Selbst Fahrräder können an eigenen Fahrradstellplätzen aufbewahrt werden. Sehr zuvorkommendes und hilfsbereites Hotelpersonal. Mit den diversen Konferenzräumen ein gutes Tagungshotel. Das Zimmer war hell und freundlich und vor allem großzügig konzeptliniert. Da unser Zimmer zur Hotelrückseite ging, war selbst bei geöffneten Fenster kein Lärm von außerhalb zu hören. Das Frühstück war ok - es gab nichts was es nicht gab. Rührei, gekochtes Ei, Wurst, S*****en, Marmelade, Joghurt, Müsli usw. Geschmacklich war es ok, aber das hatten wir in anderen Hotels, die preiswerter waren, deutlich besser. Das einzige was zu bemängeln gab, war das etwas mangelhafte Housekeeping (es wurde zweimal das Zimmer nicht gemacht) sowie die modrige Zimmerluft nach Betrieb der Klimaanlage - zumal sich das Fenster nur einen kleinen Spalt öffnen lies und nur auf Kipp (wir waren am Wochenende in einem anderen Hotel und hatten ein Zimmer in der 10. Etage und die Fenster ließen sich komplett öffnen ...) Da das IntercityHotel Dortmund noch sehr neu ist (es hieß Eröffnung nach Ostern 2022) gebe ich dies alles mal als ”Kinderkrankheiten” an und vertraue dem Hotelmanagement dieses in Griff zu bekommen. Wir werden als Fans der SchwarzGelben nicht das letzte mal in DO sein ;-)

Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer, mit dessem Größe wir nicht gerechnet hatten. Neben dem großen Doppelbett standen am Eck noch eine Couch und ein Sessel nebst Tischchen. An der Wand hing in sehr großer Flachbild-TV, auf dem sogar SKY-TV kostenlos genutzt werden konnte, ebenso das war das W-Lan inkludiert. Das Bad war zwar etwas beengt, aber gut ausgestattet und modern eingerichtet. Das gesamte Haus erschien vor nicht allzu langer Zeit renoviert worden zu sein, die Gänge waren im modernenStil gehalten und sprachen mit den Foto-Tapeten mit Aufdrücken von James Dean, Madonna und anderen Stars auch das jüngere Klientel an. Leider gab es nur einen Aufzug, der dem Alter des Gebäudes entsprach aber nicht minder schlecht funktionierte. Das Frühstücks-Buffet war sehr lecker. Gut sortierte Wurstsorten nebst Salami und auch Cornedbeef. Verschiedenste Marmeladen,Schoko-Cremes und einefrische Honig-Wabe standen genau so da wie auch eine gut sortierteReihe an Cerealien mit Frischer Milch, verschedenste Säfte und zwei Caffee-Vollautomaten mit Milch-Caffee, Cappucino, Latte-Machiato und Espresso, aslo für jeden was dabei. Es gab sogar Lachs, der in kleinen Portionen dageboten wurde. Man konnte sich auch frisches Omelett oder Spiegeleier und frischen Speck braten lassen. Brötchen verschiedenster Art, Weizen, Roggen,- und sogar Milch-Brötchen sowie verschiedene Brot-Sorten und Croussons mit oder ohne Schoko-Füllung. Abgerundet wurde das Buffet mit frischem Obst. Man füllte mir bei Abreise sogar meine Thermoskanne mit frischem Filterkaffee für die Heimreise. Ich habe selten ein so reichhaltiges und leckeres Frühstück in einem Hotel erleben dürfen.

The included breakfast is great, but after 2 weeks with zero variation, it began to wear thin. The espresso maker is available to guests at no extra charge all day, which is plain fabulous. There's a serious issue with the hotel parking. They have a *very* limited number of parking bays, so you never know, when you return, whether there's space for you. There's plenty of other parking in the vicinity, but if you don't know your way around town, it's an issue. Many guests simply leave their cars in the no parking zone adjacent to the hotel. Not sure whether there's a deal with the city ticketing people, but I don't think anyone ever got a ticket in the two weeks that we spent there. You do so at your own risk, obviously, We went through various rooms because the air conditioning didn't work (and it wasn't even summer). I don't want to know what this would look like when it's actually hot. Frightening. It took their staff days to figure out what the problem is (after initially denying that there was a problem to begin with). Not great. WiFi worked great, in the room and the lobby, which has plenty of seating in case you prefer a workspace that's not in your room. There's a small, but decently equipped, gym for hotel guests. The room is what you'd expect of a Residence Inn, spacious, fridge, microwave. The cleaners did a pretty good job maintaining it on a daily basis, there's none of the corner cutting you'd find in other hotels on multi-day stays. Very grateful for that effort. This definitely works as a longer-stay property, just beware of regular soccer events in the city, the guest crowd shifts from business people to soccer fans (with no negative impact, I should add, everyone was at their best behaviours). I would return without hesitation.

Very special hotel, fresh renovated , we felt perfect here (ex Church!). Great location, 7 minutes from Airport. Supermarkets, restaurant around. Free parking on street, but difficult o find a place. Private hotel's parking is better, even it costs cca. 15 Euro.

Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man beruflich mit dem Auto übernachten will. Parkplätze sind direkt am Gebäude. Die Zimmer wurden gerade komplett renoviert, sind modern und haben geräumige Bäder. Das Personal ist freundlich, besonders hervorzuheben war die Bereitschaft der Küche etwas zu kochen, was nicht auf der Karte stand. Status (Marriott Bonvoy) bringt nichts für zimmerupgrades, da es nur eine Kategorie gibt. Allerdings werden die Daily Voucher sehr kundenfreubdlich ausgelegt. Getränke der minibar bzw. Restaurant sind ziemlich teuer. Alternative Restaurants oder Supermärkte in laufweite habe ich nicht gesehen.

Stayed here while attending Dortmund football match. Location : Great location, literally around the corner from main shopping district with lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Great area. The underground train station is around the corner and the main train station about 20 mins walk or less. Rooms: Our room was nice (117) we had 3 in our party so the room had one double bed and a pull out sofa bed which was a double. It left the room with hardly any space to walk around so was quite tight. The decor was nice. However the seal on the window was damaged so you could actually feel the breeze getting in (during snow weather) The tv had only one English Channel so wasn’t great. BE WARNED check if there is any party’s or function on in the hotel if you are staying in this room as there was a party on while we stayed and literally felt like the dj was in our wardrobe the music was that loud. Singing and talking could even be heard clearly. I did say it to girl in reception the next morning and she apologised but literally got no sleep until music stopped. Bar/Food: We did not have dinner in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment. Restaurant decor was ok, very 1920’s feel. There is a very small bar that usually only opens from 5pm-12pm however one of the days they opened for us to have a drink at 3:30pm which was no bother for them, they were very nice and a special mention to Ben the new Barman from the UK. He’s great! Breakfast wasn’t great, but that may be just us that’s used to Irish style food. Not much hot food on offer, pancakes and plenty fab pastries though. If going to a Dortmund match : We travelled to Dusseldorf airport and got the sky train into the main train station on to Dortmund €16.50 each one way. It was difficult to find out correct trains ect as very bad signage at airport and trains so do your homework before you get there. It took us over an hour to figure it out. Train journey from airport was 50 mins. We got a taxi from our hotel to signal iduna park and it took 8 mins and costs €14. Easy to get taxis after match too which was surprising.

Stayed here for BVB V Rangers game. Perfect location to the stadium. 2 minute walk across the road. Not many places for eating nearby but underground was only a few stops away from city centre. We walked it to the city centre and took around 45mins. Hotel was nice and clean. Receptionist very welcoming. Room was nice but unfortunately just 2 beds pushed together so it’s annoying when they seperate Didn’t get to use the restaurant but note you need 2 vaccines + booster or 2 vaccines and negative test to eat in the restaurant. They have a fridge at reception offering snacks, drinks and alcohol. Around €30 euro for taxi to/from dortmund airport. Would definitely stay again!

Just back from a wonderful stay at this hotel. Great location close to the train station, the city centre and the U-Bahn station so very easy to get to & from. Despite the busy location, our room was very quiet. Even with both windows open at night, we barely heard any noise. The room was nice & cozy, clean with plenty of storage. It appears that someone had run off with the TV remote but the staff immediately fixed the issue and brought us a new one. And speaking of the staff, every single person working there was nothing but friendly & helpful. From the lady at reception who upon learning that we were going to the medieval market, immediately got us a map of the city & explained how to get there & where the other markets (and the largest Christmas tree) were. Even the breakfast staff on Sunday found us a spot to sit & were very approachable even though they were clearly rushed off their feet during the breakfast rush. We were very well looked after. Breakfast was great every day. After 2 nights of markets & gigs, we slept in on Sunday so arrived during peak time for breakfast but the other 3 mornings, it was a lot calmer/quieter. The hotel is embracing the city's cultural heritage beautifully. It inspired us to seek some of the city's former steelworks. Overall highly recommend the hotel & its staff.
