Absolutely loved this hotel! The surroundings are incredibly photogenic, and the aurora often appears right on the mountain top across from the hotel. I even asked the front desk for aurora viewing recommendations, and they suggested a small church hill and by the pier. But honestly, you can just watch it from right outside the hotel. Otherwise, you'd have to head towards the city outskirts, and the two places they recommended weren't great, especially the small church – it was too cluttered with trees and rooftops. Plus, the hotel's lobby offers free 24-hour hot water, tea, and coffee, which is a huge bonus! I'm not sure if my room got an upgrade, but it felt much larger than I expected. The hotel has two floors, and the only downside is no elevator. So, it's best to pack your luggage strategically. If you're on the second floor, just take a few essentials up, and you can store your suitcase at the front desk. Of course, when checking in, if you're on the second floor, a staff member will help you with your bags, but you'll have to carry them down yourself when checking out. The hotel is about 600 meters from the pier and several large supermarkets, making shopping and getting around convenient. The parking lot is also spacious. All in all, fantastic value for money! We had a very pleasant stay at this reasonably priced property. The room was wonderfully cozy with a nice, comfortable bed, and the heated bathroom floor was an amazing touch after being out in the cold. The location is unbeatable, sitting within easy walking distance to several supermarkets like Rema 1000, Kiwi, Extra, and Bunnpris. We also really enjoyed the simple, lovely breakfast provided each morning. The customer service here is truly top-notch: Dorothia was fantastic and kindly carried our heavy luggage all the way up to the third floor. Justina went above and beyond by helping us heat up our dinner from the nearby Kiwi store in the microwave, and she even secured a parking spot for us on the property. The only minor drawback is that there are no cooking facilities available on-site for guests. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend it!

Booked this last minute, felt like a lucky find, though at over 1700 [currency unit] it wasn't exactly cheap. The room is quite small, like an apartment, with self-catering facilities. It has a kettle, coffee machine, and all the necessary kitchenware. There's a small table right next to the bed. The bathroom is also tiny; the sink is really only big enough for washing hands. Its main selling point is the location. You can take the bus from Moskenes ferry terminal to Hamnoy and it's just a short walk from there. However, to get back to Moskenes terminal, you have to walk about 400 meters further to catch the bus, which was quite a struggle dragging luggage in the pouring rain. That famous little red house from the Lonely Planet guide? That's our hotel.

The location of the hotel is superb. Just next to the cruise terminal which is very convenient for us. While we are waiting for cruise departure we can just wait inside with complimentary drinks. Lastly, the food is such a premium to us.

I took bus 300 from EVE airport to the hotel. I got off at the 'Circle K station' and walked across the parking lot to the hotel, which was very close. However, when I left, the navigation said it would take 7-8 minutes to walk to the next bus stop. I found this a bit confusing. I saw other reviews mentioning that the hotel would send an email with a check-in code before arrival, but I never received one! I had to proactively contact Ctrip while on the bus to the hotel, and only then did I receive the check-in email from the hotel just before arriving. The hotel elevator is quite unique and hard to spot unless you look carefully. It's right next to the sofa in the public area, but there's no clear sign! Many people searched for a long time, and the elevator requires manual operation. The room size is a bit small, with a private bathroom. For Svolvær, where prices are high, this price point offers great value for money! Crucially, breakfast is included. While the variety isn't huge, the quality is good, which I really liked. Each floor has a communal kitchen, but unfortunately, the induction hob in the kitchen next to our room wasn't working. Finding the communal laundry room was quite a hassle. There was no one at the front desk at the time, and I couldn't find any other staff members, so I had to ask Ctrip customer service for help. The customer service even misled us to another building, where the laundry room lacked detergent and had very few washing machines. Later, after asking other guests, I found out there's a large laundry room near the hotel entrance, complete with laundry powder. The hotel didn't clearly explain the location of the laundry room, which was a poor experience.

I was given a perfect cabin facing the sea with a mountain view. The location is actually quite close to town - around 15min walk. Just to cross the bridge takes some energy as the elevation was quite high especially with luggage. The cabin is fully furnished and the doorway and toilet is heated during winter. Can even walk down to the seashore. We were lucky to see Lady Aurora just outside our cabin. Service wise was excellent as any inquiries were promptly replied.

This is definitely a 5-star praise. Although the hotel has been maintained for some years, it is still very well maintained. We have two rooms in total, one of which is given to the invincible sea view room. The room is quite big. The facilities in the room are all available. It is almost the best accommodation in this Norwegian trip. The praise is due to flight changes. Cancellation the next night, although the type of reservation is non-cancellable, the hotel promised to cancel free of charge, it is really good, breakfast is also rich.

I extended my stay by one night. **Room:** For the first night, I was in a duplex room where the upstairs and downstairs shared a living room and kitchen. On the second night, I moved to a one-bedroom suite complete with a living room and kitchen. **Cleanliness:** Good. **Breakfast:** Plentiful. **Facilities:** The room for my first night was on the ground floor, which was convenient. However, my room for the second night was on the third floor with no elevator, making it quite a struggle with large luggage. The upside was a balcony with a fantastic view!
