The hotel is on the court and it is a bit noisy to meet the ball game on weekends. The room is more spacious. The restaurant downstairs is good and the service guy is very warm and thoughtful. A little far from the train station, it takes more than 20 minutes to walk. There are many small restaurants in the surrounding streets.

It is beautifully renovated recently and the room is extremely comfortable. However, some staff appeared not well trained. There are a cleaner kept to open my door while I was in the room and I didn't know if he do the same while I was not there. Once he caught me just out of shower. It is really disturbing?

I was quite disappointed as I have had better experiences with Hilton hotels in other cities and countries. The minibar was completely empty, there was not even 1 bottle of water in the room, there was no bath rope, the interior and especially the bathroom looked pretty old and I have found hair in the sink and bathtub. Nevertheless the staff at the reception were very friendly.

We felt really comfortable; everyone was super nice, from the concierge to the service staff and reception. It was about a 5-8 minute walk from the main train station and easy to find. The breakfast was delicious; they kept refilling it, even right before closing time. The hotel's dog, Flora, did the best job :-) The room was very nice and clean!!! Beautiful courtyard and delicious gins at the bar. This is now our favorite hotel in Dortmund. We highly recommend it.

Very nice stylish modern 4 star hotel. The staff was very friendly. The room was perfect and 100% matching to the online featured fotos. Very convenient to use the underground garage at the Mediapark. Nice view from the room to Cologne city! 👍👍

The hotel is in a great location, offers excellent service, and boasts spacious rooms, completely breaking the common misconception of cramped rooms in Europe. It's within walking distance of Cologne Cathedral, and there's a supermarket downstairs, making it incredibly convenient. For those driving, there's parking available, and the elevator leads directly to the hotel lobby. Highly recommended.

The location is not good, there are almost no shopping or dining places around! I arrived in the evening and bought a beer. Is there any tool in the room that can open the bottle cap? The hotel is large but there are too few supporting dining shops to choose from! Waiting for breakfast the next day, the variety was average but the service was pretty good😊

One night stay so all good with close to station. Room very small so bed was very small. Smallest double bed we got in our 5 weeks Europe trip.
Breakfast was good and that’s why we booked so not disappointed. Got room early so we got more time to walk around town. Fruits and water at reception.

Pros:
- Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport.
- Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6).
- Amazing bed.
- Full-size working desk in the room.
- Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly.
- The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge.
- The food was amazing.
Cons:
- The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day.
- Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point).
Overall:
- Highly recommend, would stay again.

Specialty style: The hotel's decoration style is very unique and full of artistic atmosphere. Whether it is the lobby, corridors or public areas, there are many artworks and antiques, as if you are in a private museum, which is very worth watching.
Location: The hotel is located in the city center, surrounded by many attractions and restaurants, and it is very convenient to travel. This saves us a lot of time and energy when visiting the city.
Service: The hotel's service is very thoughtful. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out procedures are very smooth. The room service is also timely and meets our various needs.
Facilities: The hotel has complete facilities, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the beds are comfortable. The gym and other public facilities are also well maintained and very convenient to use.
Cons:
Decoration in the room: Although the overall style is unique, the decoration in the room can sometimes make people feel a little scary. The design of some artworks and antiques is exaggerated, which may not suit every guest's taste, especially when alone at night, it may feel uncomfortable.
Overall, the Medici Life Hotel is a very special accommodation choice. Its unique museum style and artistic environment are very suitable for travelers who like art and culture. Although the decoration in the room may be a bit scary, it does not affect the overall accommodation experience. GGuest UserNewish Hotel, in a remote location, need a car to get around. The rooms have no climate control, needed to request a fan as it was hot and humid in room. The 'natural pool' was freezing and quite dirty to look at, pointless as not heated in Germany. For a chef hotel, breakfast was average, not consistent, one morning the eggs benedict were great, next morning, totally overcooked and unappealing, Pancakes were aweful. At dinner, service was also inconsistent, forgot the soup, brought it after a long time after main course, just didnt work. We also found it to be very inflexible for a small luxury boutique hotel - they only provided sparkling water in the room, when we asked to switch the bottle to still water, there was poor communication and a charge of 8 euro for the still water? tap water tasted pretty salty and did not want to use that in the coffee machine either. overall pretty average, would not return or recommend
