The facilities are a bit similar to a homestay, not a superior hotel than a star. Located on the top of a small hillside, the small woods behind the hotel are a great place to watch the aurora. If the primary goal is to watch the aurora, it is highly recommended.

A fantastic stay in this hotel, the chalet, the Spa, the restaurant, the welcome. Everything was perfect! We were even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights for an entire evening at the hotel itself. We will be back and highly recommend.

Room was slightly small but it's located conveniently at central Kalix. Checking in and out was smooth. Staff was friendly. It's a heritage hotel which existence is more than 50 years. There's a stuff bear on the staircase near the lobby which is good for a candid photography. Breakfast was typical Swedish and it was by good.
