Hotel Dengan Sarapan pagi di Ranong, Thailand

Having booked in at what we know know was the wrong hotel for us we gathered our bags and searched for something clean and modern. Up come the Sook, just a couple of blocks away: Clean, modern, sensibly priced and central. The room is just fine for an overnight, which I guess is the USP here for people driving north / south. Decent shower. There are several restaurants just up the road. The breakfast is fine.

The location is a bit far from downtown but the hotel is quiet, clean and the staff are friendly. I would suggest coming here only if you have car or bike, otherwise it would not be convenient. There is a convenience store about 3 mins walk from here.

This hotel is on the outskirts of the city and has a lovely courtyard entrance. There is a pleasant swimming pool adjacent to the reception area as well as a great coffee house. The reception staff are very helpful with advice and booking of taxi and tut tut for sight seeing. The superior room is a good size with a comfy bed and a/c The room would benefit from the addition of some drawers, shelves, robe hooks for clothing etc in addition to the wardrobe. The Tv has BBC world news channel The room we had does have a balcony but not a very good view . The bathroom is nicely done but would benefit from a thermostatic valve in the shower. Breakfast has a limited buffet but a comprehensive menu for freshly cooked items There does not appear to be many restaurants within walking distance however we did eat dinner in the hotel restaurant, that was well prepared and presented meal for a very economic price and very pleasant service.

Again and again, we visit Ranong and stayed in this hotel. It was comfortable place for walking around the city. It is walking distance to tourist place; shrines, palace, stadium, shops, restaurants and others.

Ziggy Stardust is an established resort situated on the West Coast of the island of Koh Phayam. This is my second time visiting the island. The resort is now under new management and is currently being upgraded in all areas. I was happy with a Fan Room, with connected bathroom, hot water and and 24 hour electricity. My friends requested rooms with A/C, those rooms are some what more spacious and a bit closer to the beach. Each room has a balcony and hammock. Beds are comfortable and clean, clean towels are available upon request. Soap and and body wash are also available in each bathroom. The new managers of Ziggy Stardust are brining their expertise in beer making and baking to the resort. During my stay the menu, and was limited, but the Pizza's were excellent as well as the draft beer. The staff was most friendly and accommodating in request we made, I suspect in the next few weeks to months the upgrades in both the rooms, kitchen and grounds will be complete, making this a very popular place in Ao Yai, Koh Phayam.

We’re just back from an 8 night stay at Flower Power. What an amazing time we had! Where to start? Simona and Marco welcomed us so warmly that it felt like home. The resort is set in the jungle and the utmost care has been put into ensuring total respect for the surrounding environment. For instance, our bungalow had a ventilation system that ensured the temperature inside was never higher than outside. There was a fan in the ceiling and we never had to use the air conditioning unit. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. Marco has also installed drinking water fountains so that guests can refill their water bottles, thus reducing the amount of plastic being thrown into the environment. The restaurant is just amazing. Not only is the setting open and airy, but the food! You get Italian, Thai and Burmese and all are absolutely delicious! The fresh pasta is made almost daily on site, as is the pizza dough. Now, I am Italian and I can honestly say that the pizza is amazing! You have to try the charcoal pizza base, so crunchy and easy to digest. There is a massage parlour on site and we had massages every day. The two ladies there are so competent that they managed to fix my husband’s sciatica pain and my lower back pain. All the staff at the village were absolutely lovely and were always ready to help. Simona and Marco could not have been more helpful, no request was too much and they happily arranged for our transfers to and from the island. I can honestly say that we arrived as guests and left as friends. We will definitely be back. Thank you everyone.

Die Zimmer sind super stylisch und ordentlich sauber. Das Bett ist groß und sehr gemütlich, das Badezimmer ist okay und die Klimaanlage ist angenehm ruhig. Nervig und laut, bis mitten in die Nacht, ist die Roopftop-Bar und die Bar gleich nebenan. Das Wasser im Rooftop-Pool ist ziemlich trübe, es gibt keine Liegen, lediglich einige wenige Tische. Der Preis des Hotels ist im Internet deutlich preiswerter, als vor Ort. Ich habe bei meiner Online-Buchung 350 Baht/Nacht gespart.

My wife and I stayed at The Iconic Hotel for 2 nights. We were in Ranong for a diving trip, had to spend one day there before getting on our liveaboard and another day at the end of the trip before flying back to Bangkok. Had no big expectations for this place. We just needed an affordable location to spend the night. It turned out to be the perfect one. Extremely clean rooms, spacious, tall ceilings, modern furniture and bathrooms. HUGE and tasty breakfast. The most service minded staff we met in a long, long while! Try the cashew nuts they sell at the coffee shop near the front desk (by the way, they serve great coffee and tea too...), we bought 5 bags after trying the first one. The hotel is located downtown, within 5 minutes from the night market. Which translates in great street food, fruit, sweets, you name it. Thank you one more time to all the staff for all the help. We'll be probably visiting you again towards the end of this month, Best, Peach Sirikarn and Andrew

The resort was under some renewal/construction works but even if because of that we missed the buffet breakfast, we had few choices for breakfast in the morning, and even we had to have the food at the “lobby”, food was good and staff helpful and friendly. The resort is very nice, feeling like you are in the middle of the jungle but near the beach. Is not noisy, rooms are clean and spacious (at least our room) Maybe the only thing “negative” that is not that “negative” is that hot water takes quite a bit to feel it in the shower.Water pressure was good. Again the personal/staff very helpful. Thanks for all. Definitely i will come back to the resort if comeback to the island. Price is reasonable!
