Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting. The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes. One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds. Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

We travelled to DongXing as a family of 4 and stay at the best available hotel here. This is by far the best DongXing has to offer. The rooms is very spacious and clean. This is the 2nd time we had stayed at Ramada Plaza. The location is perfect for travel over to Vietnam as its only a couple of mins walk away. And a big plus as we're right by the main shopping area of DongXing. Lots of cuisines to choose from and fantastic value for money. Will be back sometime in the next couple of yrs with visa ready to cross over to Japan. A final note is the view from our rooms. Vietnam right on the other side.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Place Liuzhou, and let me tell you, their in-room steak dinner was ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It was honestly one of the best steak meals I've ever had, and the fact that I got to enjoy it in the comfort of my own hotel room made it even better! The room itself was spacious, clean, and modern, with all the amenities I needed. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel's location was convenient for exploring Liuzhou. But that steak... wow! If you're a steak lover like me, do NOT miss the opportunity to try it during your stay!

This hotel is very conveniently located at the top of the pedestrian street - is an easy ten minute stroll to the pagodas and another 5 or so minutes to the elephant trunk hill. The friendly service, cleanliness and facilities are all fantastic. The travel desk helped me book a river cruise - very easy with the pick up location for the bus shuttle just a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was great but also go for dinner and have the delicious cold beans and Guilin rice noodle dishes. Special thank you to Patrick for the excellent service and help. Would definitely stay here again!!

With its tech-savvy rooms activated by voice command, this hotel has much to recommend itself. With its wall mounted water dispensing system allowing one to set temperature and get hot, warm or cold water at the press of a few buttons (rendering a kettle obsolete), a disinfectant cabinet for cups and glasses and a glass-fronted fridge named ”a soda fountain” where the mineral water, beers and fizzy drinks are kept, plus a motion sensor toilet bowl with heated seat, the rooms, though compact and lacking in counter and storage space, are made for ease and convenience. Among the hotel's comprehensive amenities are an outdoor swimming pool, guest laundry and gym, a tea room, a truly well furnished children's play area with game consoles and a niche for experiencing traditional crafts like fan dyeing. The attention to detail in its interior decor renders this establishment extremely camera-worthy. Its location right beside the serene Ronghu Park means the bulk of the rooms faces the lake with its panoramic vistas. A pity the television has no English language channels, not even their national CGTN.

Good hotel. Breakfast had less desirable western options than in the past but still pretty good. Nice swimming pool and smaller shallow pool for kids. Hotel room was clean and they delivered a small fruit plate for free. Area by the river is quite nice and there is a park directly behind the hotel.

Very clean and well maintained hotel located in the heart of Guilin. Daily cleaning services provided with common amenities provided. Self service laundry services are available free of charge. The front desk is staffed 24/7. The room I booked was a family room with 2 beds, king and double. The room was extremely clean and spacious. Washroom and toilet were western designed. Floors are marble tile which is good for reducing dust overall. AC blasts cold and is fully adjustable. Daily cleaning and refills of water and ameneties are provided. Nothing about the rooms that you can complain about. The hotel is located in the heart of the Guilin cultural district. One turn from a popular food street serving local cuisine in full restaurants or street food bites. My one recommendation is Osmanthus Ice Cream, look for the store that serves it with a black cone as it has more flavour. Hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They come across with the intentions of really helping you. If you don't have your own plans for the area they have packages with various options for local tours. They can explain the full itinerary and help you book everything. They were able to book a trip to Yangshuo for a bamboo raft and boat ride. They also have packages to go see the Longshi rice fields. You just need to let the staff know the night before so they can book it. Overall, if you are a foreigner or from out of town this hotel offers everything you might want with fantastic service. You get a lot more than the price you pay for. One last note is DiDi drivers usually drop you off at the bus stop just outside the hotel. Keep walking down the alley and the hotel is to the right.

If you are concerned about the security of your belongings, think carefully before staying at this hotel. I want to state first that the receptionists and front desk staff are excellent and professional. Unfortunately, there is a serious issue with room security and unauthorized entry. I am a returning guest. First stay: 10–14 December, Room 3031 Second stay: 22–24 December, Room 3003 During my first stay, I informed the cleaning supervisor that I did not want housekeeping until 14 December. When my room ran out of bottled water, I spoke to a cleaning staff member who said she would place the water in my room later after I went out. During our conversation, my room door accidentally shut, and she used a master key card to open it. Looking back, she could have simply handed the water to me as her cart was in the hallway. On 12 or 13 December, the same cleaning staff mentioned that they “cannot earn if they do not clean my room.” Feeling pressured, I agreed to allow floor cleaning only. I stood outside the room while two cleaners mopped the toilet, changed towels, and vacuumed the carpet. On 14 December early checkout, I reached for a pair of black slack pants that had been hanging in the closet since 10 December but it was not there. At that time, I assumed the pants may have been accidentally packed into the two bags for the hotel’s luggage storage. I then traveled to other parts of China with light luggage and did no shopping. I returned to the hotel on the night of 22 December and collected my stored bags. The black slack pants were not in them. During second stay at the hotel I did no shopping. After 24th Dec flying home, I discovered something even more alarming. A bundle of newly purchased jeans for my sister and mother during my first stay—packed together in a plastic bag—was missing. At the airport on 24th Dec, my bags were shrink-wrapped and sealed, and is no wander the total weight was at least 1.3 kg lighter than expected. This suggests that someone entered my room when the room was vacant and removed items from my packed luggage. Hotel staff would have known my checkout date, and I had not opened my bags after packing. This experience has caused me great distress. While the front desk service is commendable, the lack of room security and the disappearance of personal belongings is unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to investigate this matter seriously.

Located opposite a pretty lake, nice for a walk, the hotel is good for leisure and business travellers. The rooms are large and well equipped. The shower was particularly nice and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is very clean. Fortunately I was with my Chinese speaking partner otherwise check in may have been a longer process. The breakfast was also fine but more orientated to local audience - albeit there is bread, fruit, eggs. Coffee at breakfast is not so good.
