其实讲到泰国餐，不用飞去泰国，在马来西亚也很容易找到不错的选择👍 尤其是 KL 和 Penang，这两个地方可以说是泰国餐的“重灾区”🤣，选择多到你会纠结要吃哪一间。虽然跟在泰国街头吃的那种感觉还是有点不一样，但有些餐厅的味道真的做得蛮接近，酸辣香料该有的都有🔥

I really appreciated having a water dispenser, allowing me to drink water freely. Its proximity to the Twin Towers made it convenient for sightseeing and getting around. However, it was a bit disappointing that I couldn't see the Twin Towers from the room I stayed in this time. It would have been even better if I had a room with a view of the Twin Towers.
The bathroom was spacious and comfortable, and the amenities were excellent.
The food was delicious, but the variety wasn't extensive, with only about 3-4 main dishes. I stayed for several nights, and the chicken main dish was the same every day, so it would have been nice to see more variety with daily changes.DariTWD 1,793

A beautiful hotel but a mediocre experience. Maybe the hotel could consider changing the ceiling light bulbs in the room to brighter ones and there are not enough of them. The TV was malfunction but I did not make any report because I only stayed for one night. However, shouldn't the responsible party check the TV first before ”opening” the room to guests? The air conditioner also took a very, very long time to cool even though it was set to the lowest temperature from the moment I got into the room. The shower water on the other hand, I had to wait a long time to get hot even though it was turned to the left (for hot water). However, the breakfast buffet was delicious and varied. This hotel is popular even with locals. The breakfast offers a rich variety of flavors, the room is clean with direct drinking water, and all facilities are complete. The swimming pool is currently under renovation, but guests can use the infinity pool on the 25th floor of the neighboring building. The location is also excellent; within a few minutes' walk, you'll find numerous shopping malls, supermarkets, the Lot 10 Hutong food court, and Jalan Alor. It's only about a 10-odd MYR Grab ride to Merdeka Square, Petaling Street, and the Petronas Twin Towers. The MRT is just a few minutes' walk away, and the 1 MYR bus stop is right across the street. I booked the Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre for F1 during the National Day holiday, knowing it would be late and hotel prices would be heavily inflated. I chose this Pullman after extensive research and comparing many reviews. However, right after booking, prices kept dropping due to the Indonesian haze… frustrating 😓.
The hotel itself is an older upscale chain with a certain sense of history. The facilities are quite dated; the overall decor, air conditioning, hairdryer, and iron all show their age, but they are maintained relatively cleanly. Noise is a major issue: 1) There's a construction site right outside the hotel. 2) The door gaps are very wide, offering no sound insulation (and I was given a room near the elevator, so I could hear people checking in late every night). 3) The air conditioning unit is old and makes a clunking noise when operating.
There are still some positives: The buffet breakfast offers a good variety and tastes decent, and there's plenty of seating, so you rarely have to queue. There's an outdoor pool and gym on the 10th floor, both well-maintained. The location is also quite good; Pavilion is just across the road, but note that you can't just walk straight across as there's no crosswalk. You have to walk about 300 meters to use the pedestrian bridge (the same bridge also leads directly to the Petronas Twin Towers).
Overall, it's decent. Shopping and dining in the vicinity are well-covered. However, the value for money significantly drops during holidays. If you can get it for a few hundred during off-peak times, it would be excellent value, given its prime location.DariTWD 3,227

As usual, this is one of the best hotels for a great stay. Attached to Sunway Putra, it offers a variety of food and shopping outlets. Just a few steps away, the WTC LRT station connects us to attractive places in Kuala Lumpur and other shopping areas. Next to the ground-floor lift is a new restaurant and bakery offering Western food and a variety of delicious breads and cakes. The hotel was really clean and lovely! The room was massive and gave us so much room to relax and feel comfortable. The breakfast each morning was great, we really loved the egg station. The pool was really beautiful, and we enjoyed seeing the city skyline from the pool. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful to us, and made our stay very comfortable. The location is excellent, and we were able to walk to pavillion mall, and the street night market very easily. We booked this hotel based on the reviews but it was different from what we expected. We stayed there for a week and unfortunately, our initial room was right next to the elevator and had no windows. It was extremely noisy and we could hear everyone passing by in the hallway. Eventually, they moved us to another room which was a bit quieter.
Cleanliness was just okay, not great. We had to ask housekeeping to change the bedsheets because they were stained, and the bathroom cleanliness was also average. The hotel's location is actually pretty good; it's not far to KLCC by taxi. The rooftop pool and restaurant also have a nice ambiance.
However, there are a few things I need to complain about:
1. With about 20 rooms per floor on 25 floors, there are only two elevators. Waiting for 10-odd minutes for an elevator every time is really annoying.
2. The room curtains don't block out light well. There's a big gap between the curtains and the window, so it gets very bright in the morning.

Location: Excellent—just across the road from Kampung Baru food area, very convenient for foodies.
Check-in: Allowed early check-in at 1:30 PM despite 3 PM standard time due to room availability. Much appreciated.

Hotel breakfast preferred over outside options—area dominated by nasi padang, which isn't to our taste

The room is spacious and clean. Perhaps our room is not facing the main road, we do get peaceful night rest (love it).
As we booked the executive club, we were entitled to the club benefits, where we enjoyed ourselves every evening with great snacks and drinks, served by Audray. He is cheerful and attentive. He is always ready to clear the table in a timely manner, and make sure we get the help we need.
In the morning, you can choose to have breakfast at level 3 cafe with a wider range of food choices, or you can choose to have a quiet breakfast in the lounge, served by White. Even though the food choice is lesser compared to the cafe, the food was yummy and sufficient.
The swimming pool is small, enough if you just want a quick dip. I am not a gym person, but it is available.
This hotel is connected to lalaport by bridge. Is convenient and easily accessible.

Firstly, no deposit was required for check-in.
Secondly, the hotel booking wasn't last-minute; I had requested a high-floor, king-size bed, and no end-of-corridor room in advance. To my surprise, none of these requests were met. We ended up with twin beds on the 5th floor, and both rooms were at the very ends of the corridor – essentially two 'tail' rooms. The curtains couldn't be opened because they faced directly into someone's apartment, offering a clear view. On the day of check-in, we were traveling from Langkawi back to Kuala Lumpur, and after a tiring journey, both the elderly and children were exhausted, so we just let it go.
In one of the rooms, one of the two key cards wasn't activated, so we couldn't enter the room.
The hotel's location is good, very close to Pavilion. It's convenient to buy chocolates at Sungei Wang Plaza across the street, and there's a large Watsons downstairs in Isetan.DariTWD 1,483

The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw from a major transportation hub, Pasar Seni station, which is a big metro interchange. Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and Pasar Seni Bus Hub are also nearby. Everything is connected by pedestrian walkways, which is very convenient. The hotel is located in Chinatown. Two famous Kuala Lumpur markets, Central Market and Petaling Street Market, are right next to it. Check-in was very quick. I liked the lobby with its stained-glass windows. I stayed on the 10th floor in room 1006. The view from my window was amazing, overlooking the Merdeka 118 tower and the famous Sri Mahamariamman Temple (where I unexpectedly stumbled upon an Indian wedding!). The room looked smaller than on the website, but it was cozy enough. It had everything necessary, including complimentary bottled water, tea, coffee, creamer, and sugar. The towels could do with being replaced. Hot water was always available, and there was shower gel and shampoo. Housekeeping was by request; you just needed to inform the reception. Since breakfast wasn't included in my rate, I had breakfast at the Mango Cafe in the hotel on the ground floor. The menu was limited, buffet-style, but I always found something to eat, and the coffee was good. Breakfast cost 22 ringgit and was served until 10:30 AM. The hotel's laundry service wasn't working as the machines were broken, but there's a paid 24/7 laundry service right across the street where you can wash and dry clothes, which is what everyone did. There are plenty of cafes and grocery stores (7-11, KK) nearby. Attractions are within walking distance, so you can take an evening stroll. The area feels safe, although there are harmless homeless people on the streets. Directly behind the hotel is a bus stop, which is stop number 17 Central Market on the Garden Route (Blue Line) of the KL Hop-on Hop-off tour bus. So if you decide to take this tour, you can catch the bus right outside the hotel. As I said, the hotel's location is simply ideal. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.DariTWD 930

Quite a surprise! I booked this hotel last minute, and the price was great. After checking in, I found it to be very clean and much quieter than the hotel next door. Oh my goodness! We went straight to the hotel after landing in Kuala Lumpur. We arrived four hours before the 3 PM check-in time, but the hotel welcomed us in the lobby right away. The bellboy was so cute and strong, which really made us feel warm and welcomed upon our arrival. When we got to the 53rd floor, the front desk found two Chinese-speaking staff members to assist us, and they were even a supervisor and a subordinate! It was truly touching. They helped us store our luggage, showed us to the restrooms, and let us choose an aromatherapy scent while offering iced tea and snacks. The whole process was polite, thoughtful, and gentle.
When we checked into our room in the afternoon, we couldn't have been happier. It had a bathtub, double sinks, a smart toilet, a king-sized bed, a large sofa, and a spacious shower. In the afternoon, someone even came to turn down the bed and light an aromatherapy diffuser. The breakfast was incredibly exquisite – a combination of buffet and à la carte! Absolutely delicious! The hotel's location is superb, connected to Pavilion via a skybridge, so we didn't have to worry about sun or rain when going in and out. It truly maximized our sense of happiness and relaxation during the trip! Most importantly, we had an unobstructed view of the Petronas Twin Towers and all of Kuala Lumpur. I booked the forest room cozy and suitable for 1 night. If you could improve to clean the windows even though have the flora outside the scenery will bo pretty. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you don't speak English. Communication was a nightmare, and the front desk staff weren't very clear. Basically, the language barrier combined with an unaccommodating front desk made everything difficult. The location isn't great either; you need a taxi to get anywhere, and walking takes about half an hour. The room itself was just okay. I was swayed by good reviews saying the front desk had friendly female staff and that early check-in was possible for a fee. But when I got there, it was all male staff at the front desk. I had to wait for a room immediately, and paying extra for early check-in wasn't even an option. I arrived in the early morning and couldn't check in until 1:30 PM. Also, I saw that breakfast was included when I booked, but when I asked, they said it would cost 17 MYR. For 230 a night, it's really not worth it. I might as well have stayed at a hostel in Chinatown or a hotel with a pool for better photo opportunities. I just wanted my own room, but it ended up being a lot of hassle, very tiring, and I didn't get good rest. I don't recommend it; it was quite a miserable stay.DariTWD 780

After checking in, I went to Tower E and found that my access card could not be used to enter the tower. I had to go all the way back to another tower to settle the issue, which was quite inconvenient.
The same goes for activating the parking access — I had to return to another tower to get it activated. It would be much more convenient if these services could be handled directly at Tower E.

A lovely lady who spoke Chinese helped us out, assigning us a room on the 20th floor with fantastic views. They even added an extra bed for free! The room was really spacious, with sea-view windows in both the living room and two bedrooms. One of the bathrooms had a bathtub right next to the window – a lovely touch. The toiletries were an Australian brand and really good quality. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there was a washing machine too, though they only provide one laundry pod for free; additional ones cost 3 yuan. An exceptionally satisfying first-time experience! I initially only booked one night after reading online reviews mentioning strange noises in the hotel, but because our previous stay at the Hard Rock was such a disappointment, we decided to extend our stay here by another night. It completely exceeded our expectations.
Service: The staff were all warm, friendly, and proactive in offering help. There was even a turndown service before bedtime, where they neatly folded the duvet and left a thoughtful little bookmark printed with a Malay proverb. Out of all the hotels we've stayed at in Malaysia, Eastern & Oriental (E&O) is by far the most generous with complimentary bottled water!
Ambiance: The hotel is stunning, steeped in art and literature. We stayed in the Victory Annex and didn't experience any of the strange noises we were worried about. The hotel's interior design is very tasteful—truly living up to its reputation as a heritage hotel.
Breakfast: The variety was fantastic, and looking out over the sea while dining was a great experience—we chose outdoor seating, which was super chill. The swimming pool is also gorgeous, and the kids had a blast.
Location: Very convenient, right in George Town. Walking around to explore and eat is a breeze; even if you go out at 9 or 10 PM for a bite, you can still find small shops open.

The hotel has an amazing location, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We even received a complimentary late check-out, which was very much appreciated! The bar adjacent to the hotel was superb, with excellent drinks and a great atmosphere.
The amenities were beautiful, especially the pool area. Unfortunately, during our stay, workers were preparing the venue for a wedding, which made the pool area a little less peaceful than expected. Of course, things like this happen, but it would have been nice if the workers had been a bit more mindful of the guests relaxing by the pool and kept the noise and shouting to a minimum.

This is one of the best places I have stayed in SE Asia! The shophouses are cute and spacious (we stayed in Indian Shophouse and our parents stayed in another king’s size bedroom), the aesthetics inside the room and especially in the lobby/ afternoon tea area/ breakfast cafe is incredible and nostalgic. Strictly speaking, it's just a villa converted into a hotel. Although it boasts over 100 years of history, century-old buildings are common throughout the city. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. Compared to other hotels I've recently stayed at, like Dongjia and George Hotel, this one is flanked by residential buildings on both sides, and there are plans to build more behind it. It feels like it's being surrounded by tall buildings, which really takes away from the experience.
Furthermore, the windows aren't very soundproof, and it's really close to the road, making it quite noisy during the day. It truly bears no resemblance to a manor. There were also a lot of mosquitoes; we didn't even open the windows, yet somehow had four or five mosquitoes in the room overnight. The room decor is decent, but honestly, many hotels in China can achieve this level of design. Also, this hotel doesn't have a gym. During check-in, the manager (I couldn't tell if they were Indian or Malaysian) had a very strong accent, and I really struggled to understand every word they said. The bar also offered two complimentary drinks in the evening, but they were very simple and tasted mediocre. If you're going to offer free drinks, do it properly, or don't offer them at all.
The room's mini-bar was okay, and the complimentary snacks made the kids happy. The toiletries were Bvlgari. Breakfast was served in the hotel's ground-floor restaurant, which supposedly has been recognized by Michelin for two consecutive years. However, the breakfast was quite perfunctory. The apples and melon served were completely unsweetened and very stale; they clearly looked pre-cut, frozen for a long time, discolored, and had a terrible texture. When I ordered English breakfast tea, I wasn't asked if I wanted milk. The pepper in the pepper shaker wouldn't come out because the grains were too large. A salmon bagel was decent. Overall, the breakfast portions were average, and the taste was just so-so. After checking out, we immediately went to another restaurant to eat again.
All in all, this hotel's price was not cheap compared to other hotels on this trip, but the overall experience was just average. I deliberated for a long time before choosing this hotel, but I love old architecture too much, so I decided to stay. I even paid extra to upgrade to a room with a balcony. Now, let me list the serious downsides:
1. There was still a very strong paint smell.
2. The service speed, typical of Southeast Asia, was slow.
3. The pool was dirty with bugs and fallen leaves; I wouldn't dare get in.
4. One evening, the pump for the shower gel wouldn't push down or pull off, so I had to ask the front desk for help. They sent two Indian male security guards to try and fix it for me 😅.
5. On the last day, we returned to find the cleaning staff had left a rag in our room.
6. The hotel room description said it came with a coffee machine, but there wasn't one at all.

I appreciated the daily provision of 2 bottles of water. The basic amenities such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower caps, slippers, shampoo, and shower gel were well-stocked. The hotel is located in the heart of Georgetown, making it safe and easy for tourists to find. If you venture out through the alley, you'll discover a variety of famous local eateries to choose from.
There's a supermarket called Gama nearby with a diverse selection of groceries, which was fun to browse, and there's a convenience store right next to the alley entrance. Upon check-in, we received welcome cookies. The staff were friendly, responded quickly and efficiently, and provided free luggage storage services. The security guards constantly patrolled, helped with moving or storing luggage, and always greeted us with a smile. Being in the center of Georgetown, most of the attractions within Georgetown are walkable. Taking the CAT free shuttle bus is also a good option. It's also convenient to hail a Grab taxi near the hotel.

I stayed in Kuala Lumpur for five days at a hotel that claimed to be a direct branch of a certain domestic chain. I called the Kuala Lumpur branch from China and spoke to an Indian female receptionist, informing her I was a platinum member and requesting a room upgrade for my stay from September 12th to 17th. When I arrived and asked for the upgrade, the Indian receptionist I had spoken to wasn't there. Instead, there was a Malay female receptionist. They then called the Indian receptionist who had promised me the upgrade. After taking my payment for the five days, the Indian receptionist became extremely rude and even pretended that the Malay receptionist who was checking me in was her subordinate and that she was the boss. Eventually, I found out that a Chinese person, who didn't seem to be around much, was actually the Hotel Manager. The front desk staff generally didn't speak Chinese. It was chaotic for a direct branch of a domestic chain. I requested a refund. The female receptionist was uncooperative and refused. I tried to contact the domestic chain's customer service, but they were intentionally unresponsive. After all, I am a platinum member. The direct branch didn't provide an invoice, and since I was on a business trip, I needed an invoice from mainland China, not a local receipt for external trips. Later, I went to Penang for business and cautiously booked a 3-day stay at Nio Hotel through Ctrip. I've been scammed by so many companies in China, big and small, so I was careful. The 3-day cost wasn't much, so the potential loss would be minimal. I carefully reviewed Nio Hotel and its AI analysis. The hotel itself was fine, but it lacked toothbrushes and slippers. I had a toothbrush in my luggage as I travel globally for business frequently, and I had planned to bring slippers from the KL hotel but forgot. I flew business class from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, hoping to get a pair of slippers there, but the business class attendant said they didn't have any. When I arrived at Nio Hotel, I found that my room had a toothbrush and slippers, which was great. It had a window, and despite the Muslim prayer calls and the sound of speeding cars, I usually carry earplugs and noise-cancelling headphones, so I slept well. Due to what might be hotel cost-cutting, I found a long strand of woman's hair on my bath towel on the third day. AI helped me analyze that this hotel might be extremely cost-conscious, but given the higher cost of living in Malaysia, which follows the British Commonwealth system, the price was incredibly good value. All the front desk staff when I checked in were Malay and Indian. While I speak Chinese, I also speak English, so it doesn't matter if the front desk staff speaks Chinese or not, as long as they don't speak Arabic, which I don't understand. I also know a bit of Japanese and German. Durian in Kuala Lumpur was too expensive. I bought a piece of Musang King durian to taste at the base of the tallest building in KL, Menara Monica. At Nio Hotel in Penang, I went downstairs to eat durian and met a large group of wealthy Chinese from Surabaya, Indonesia. They were indulging in Musang King durian, each costing 300 Malaysian Ringgit (nearly 500 RMB). I ate a 50 MYR Kunyit King. These Indonesians must have very high incomes. I also saw some Filipino Chinese feasting on durians costing hundreds of Malaysian Ringgit. The incomes of Filipino Chinese must certainly surpass those in China's first-tier cities. While at Nio Hotel, I drank free coffee at the front desk, but I was concerned about the cup hygiene. Suddenly, an East Asian-looking female manager appeared, spoke Chinese, and told me it was clean and safe to drink. I didn't re-wash it with water and had several cups of coffee. Finally, when checking out to fly to Guangzhou, I had another cup of coffee at the front desk around 6:00 AM. My flight was at 8:15 AM. I had already called a taxi, driven by a young Malay man. I forgot that the driver who was picking me up for the airport had arrived while I was drinking coffee. After finishing my coffee, I went downstairs and told the waiting driver, 'I am here.' The driver said it was fine and that getting to the airport would be smooth. It's been several days since I returned, and the nearby restaurant even refunded me 35 Malaysian Ringgit because on the first day, there was a black spot on a vegetable leaf in my dish. I would say this place is a classic case of ”indah khabar dari rupa” as it looked much better in the photos than in reality. While the room was generally clean and tidy upon arrival, the overall experience was disappointing.
The room had a noticeable damp smell that made it feel less comfortable during the stay. In addition, the space was much smaller than expected and felt quite cramped, especially if you are travelling with luggage or planning to stay for more than a short period.

I had a mixed but overall pleasant stay at Chulia Heritage. The room itself was clean and looked like it was newly renovated, though the amenities provided are very basic. One thing that could be improved in the bathroom is adding a shower door or curtain—currently, water gets everywhere and it doesn't separate the toilet and sink area well.
The biggest challenge was the reception area, which has no AC. Standing out there for more than 10 minutes in the hot, humid weather was really tough. I truly hope the owner considers installing a ceiling fan or even some proper portable cooling fans around the reception desk to make it comfortable for guests checking in and out.
