I needed my boyfriend to stay over while I was traveling and this was the perfect place. This isn't a 5-star hotel, but it did the trick and we were very comfortable - here is why. PROS - Coming from Bilbao Airplane or taking Bus?...: It is close to 2 blocks from Bilbao Intermodal and if you are coming from the airport, this hotel is an easy walk from where the bus drops you off in San Mamés. The location is also SUPER safe. - Transportation: If you look down the street and cross it, you will also see the tram station along with the metro station. - Food?: There is food everywhere. This is Bilbao. Spend 2 euros (or really please buy a Barik card) and go into the city, you won't be disappointed. The best part about the tram is that it goes theoretically left or right. I live close to NYC so I understand it can be complicated, but the system in Bilbao, chef's kiss. - Bed/Room: Pro? The bed/room you get in sleek, modern, and for a REALLY CHEAP PRICE! Please don't hassle your way into spending a lot of money on a hotel in Spain. It is not truly worth it. Just get this place, feel comfortable, and safe. - Staff? There are not many, but the ones that are there will help and accommodate you. You just need to be nice. I say this because I went in to check in and someone was being helped. They weren't that nice to staff, so please remember, we are all human. CONS - Cleaning: I will say, the bathrooms were clean, but the headboard for me was dusty. It might have been that the room wasn't used a lot. But please don't worry, it did not effect my stay considering the price was reasonably cheap. - THE ENTRANCE!: You need to understand, their rating is a 2/5 stars but it is NOT because they are bad, in Spain it is based on what the hotel/hostels have and DON'T have. So what they don't have is a front reception. Listen closely if you are going to go here. Once you get on the street, you will need to buzz into the door as if you are requesting to go to someone's apartment. OR they will give you a code before hand. A 10 minutos a pie de la estación de bus. El hotel es costoso teniendo en consideración que no ofrece desayuno ni atención las 24hs. (brinda café de 9 a 21hs.), aunque es sabido que el país vasco, en líneas generales, es caro. El personal es muy amable y la habitación está en correctas condiciones. El baño es un poco justo pero cumple su función; la presión de la ducha es buena. El lugar era limpio, cómodo y tranquilo. Hay estacionamiento enfrente por la suma de 24 euros diarios, aunque se puede estacionar perfectamente en la vía pública y no hacer uso del parking. En definitiva, al margen de que la relación precio-calidad no se condice, es una buena opción para aloj**** en San Sebastián.

La verdad que elevado el precio para las prestaciones que tiene. Se trata de un edificio en el casco antiguo de Bilbao, reformado para el turismo. Habitaciones muy pequeñas sin aire acondicionado y sin ascensor. El ascensor no es tan importante porque las habitaciones están en la Segunda y tercera planta pero el aire acondicionado si que lo echamos de menos. Hace bastante calor en verano y solo un ventilador, puede que la estancia no sea tan agradable. Por otro lado, el estar en pleno centro, como la habitación no sea interior, el ruido de los bares al medio día y la noche es tremendo. La chica de recepción muy amable, la segunda noche al quejarnos del ruido, nos cambió la habitación por una interior que mejoró bastante el tema del precio. Aún así, el precio lo veo desproporcionado

The hotel itself is located in a great part of the Casco Viejo. Once you get oriented, which is not necessarily easy, you are in a great position to enjoy Bilbao. Everything you have heard about the wonderful pintxos in Casco Viejo is true; the hard part is that you can't eat everything. Walking is possible to many places, and the subways are easy to deal with, especially if you ask at the information window for help. Bilboans seemed incredibly helpful and kind everywhere I went in the city. The hotel's reception desk was also helpful and solicitous; I very much appreciated their willingness to answer my questions and help with directions. The problem was that it wasn't quite what I'd expected. My room was OK, but small. It did not resemble the photo very much. The bidet was in a community bathroom; my private bathroom did not have one. Definitely not deal-breakers, but a little disappointing. Overall a good enough place to be, and they certainly were busy, but not special.

Clean rooms - helpful reception. Located quite a way out of central Bilbao but very easy to get to by public transport - only a few steps from the train station. Quite a noisy neighbourhood though!

This hotel is advertised as a budget hotel so we were not expecting luxury. However, we've paid a lot more for a less comfortable night. The room is compact with a shower, toilet and basin squeezed into one corner. There is a small hanging space and a TV on the wall. There is a small desk and stool. If you just want somewhere for one night, this is perfect. The catering options at the hotel are limited but it's only a short walk into the village where there are lots of bars.

I spent two and a half days and three nights at this establishment. I can’t think of anything else they could have done to make my stay more pleasant. The reception by Paul was wonderful. He was polite, understanding and well explained all the amenities that came with the stay. The studio unit was clean, and well appointed with fresh linen, towels and bottled water. There is no AC which is quite common, but the unit was equipped with two powerful, adjustable fans, and the windows opened slightly for fresh air. The hotel is a 50 yards or so from train tracks serving the local station. Trains run periodically during the day but diminish as the evening approaches. The location is a short walk to Old Town San Sebastián where one can experience plenty of enjoyable night life and the crowds are not a problem, as there are plenty of restaurants and bars. All in all, a nice stay for my first visit to San Sebastián.
