Amazingly rude front desk - twice over have felt the need to bang bang on about rules and basically make you feel like you are in the wrong Kind of a strange welcome both times Not sure what they are expecting of their well meaning guests but it does come across as pretty rude when all you want is a decent night’s sleep If a sweet welcome is what you’re after then go elsewhere

I had a horrible experience with a female staff member being rude and aggressive after initially pretending to be nice. Both she and another female staffer then prevented a helpful male staff member from helping me. When she was reported to the team leader he made threats to cancel my (the victim’s) booking and to also blacklist me from staying at all Safe stays and made unfounded untrue claims of complaints. The female staff member named D prevented a staff member from doing his cleaning job by physically holding him back from changing a bed and helping me move to a female dorm then she literally tried to grab my phone when I was about to email the hostel manager and senior manager at Head office to complain. Furthermore she lied to her team leader and stated that I was trying to film her. Apparently she then threatened to quit instead of apologising for her misconduct. I was trying to email the manager on my phone to complain about her misconduct when she tried to grab my phone from me! Several people shared with me similar experiences they had . Some staff were very helpful and lovely. An employee who has been unkind to a customer should have disciplinary action taken against them. A staff member should apologise and not try and gang up against a customer. No one has the right to put their hands on your personal phone. She never apologised. The team leader Alex also did not apologise for her misconduct. Bullying and threats were being used to silence someone who had been treated unfairly and unprofessionally. Fortunately the staff at the head office were very helpful and the manager was contacted to stop the discrimination and bullying and threats towards a customer. I was made to stand for hours despite being injured and recovering therefore my legs and feet were swollen and painful as a result and it was emotionally stressful to deal with unprofessional behaviour. I did not feel safe at all and called the Head office for assistance. The aggressive behaviour of the three staffers had a negative impact on me and my health. I made it clear to the Team leader that I did not want any further contact with the particularly mean staffer named Doaa and I gave feedback to the head office and was assured that the manager would assist me to make my stay better. Previously the team leader Alex had threatened “I don’t care if I lose my job here at Safestay but I will cancel your booking.” Why the shocking hatred and discrimination towards a customer? I was very upset and missed my meetings and attending the Opera which was also on my list of things to do. Later I discovered the light was not working in the room they had assigned to me and the toilets were clogged. The whole night there was a man snoring beneath me and I couldn’t sleep. It has been a horrible experience. We had a photoshoot pre planned for the next 7-10 days in the beautiful Holland Park and needed a convenient Female dorm or single room to arrange and prepare. For £148 Double room I expected a clean bathroom. The shower was not clean, the shower head was manky at best (see photos), the toilet seat had to be wiped before it could be used. There was no toilet paper in the holder. Mold in the shower. Something stuck to the wall of the shower (see photo). Unimpressed with the overall cleanliness of the bathroom. The rest of the room was clean. The bed was really comfortable which was a plus. Handy to the pub downstairs and the Liverpool St train station which is the only reason I stayed there. They happily held my bags for a few hours once I checked out which was appreciated. If they clean the bathroom properly then I would not have had any complaints. Have given an average score as the rest of the room was okay.

Such a Great Location & the Staff is Amazing! It’s located right next to Kings Cross & Coal Drop Yards which is convenient. Check in is simple & they even let you leave your luggage for free if you get their early & after your check out. The staff is so kind, to the front desk, Maintenance, Cleaning Crew & Management. I love how the beds you can change the color of the Lighting. There are plugs for your phone & a locker to store your stuff. Also a bar to hang socks or a Towel. They have a huge lounge area where you can chill or work & a kitchen. Pretty big kitchen, great way to save $ while traveling! Bathrooms are always clean & always hot water. They have events throughout the week which is great for connecting with new people. You can tell the staff is like family here & genuine souls! Definitely suggest checking out this Hostel when traveling to London! My next trip into London, I’ll definitely be staying here. 💚

Ia agak dekat dengan stesen, jadi saya berasa selamat walaupun pada lewat malam. Bilik itu luas dan bersih. Saya agak bimbang tentang bau tandas, Saluran keluar di ruang katil tiada ruang di bahagian bawah Kerana mungkin tidak boleh menggunakan penukar besar Berhati-hati diperlukan! Kakitangan baik dan baik Saya mempunyai masa yang hebat!

You get what you pay for - cheap and cheerful. I enquired before travelling about where I could keep my stuff in the dorm and was told that there were lockers. They didn't mention though that I should take my own padlock! The only person around to ask was a cleaner who didn't speak English so I had to run the risk and leave my stuff unprotected...

I stayed at the hostel for 3 nights and my experience was really nice. The stuff, the room and the breakfast were perfect! Everything was clean and also the staff always were cleaning. The location is the best, near Hyde Park and Nothing Hill and also near public transport. Thank you very much to be a great place during my visit to this beautiful city!! :)

고풍스런 내부가 신기했어요 침대마다 라이트랑 콘센트 있고 커튼이 다 가려져서 좋아요 3층 베드 썼는데 층고가 진짜 높아서 그렇게 답답하지 않았어요. 지하랑 1층 머신에서 따뜻한 물 받을 수 있고 지하에 티 구비되어 있고 시원한 물 받을 수 있어요 공용샤워실은 제가 가본 서너개 도미토리 중에 제일 넓었고 청소도 자주자주 해서 청결도 나쁘지 않았어요 대신 12인실 방은 사람이 많이 차면 스멜...이 심한데 또 우르르 나가니까 쾌적해지더라구요 지하 안쪽으로 전자렌지랑 가스렌지 쓸수 있는데 매우 비좁아서 그냥 저는 붐비지 않을 시간에 전자렌지만 사용했습니다

Absolutely cracking burgers, must try if visiting. Vegan options and a selection of poutine style loaded chips. Relaxed atmosphere lots of space to work whilst lunching too. Will definitely be returning soon, lovely staff make all the difference. Many thanks!

Amazing place with friendly stuff, very well predisposition in everything, ve eh happy, I would definitely come back.. also is ver well located. It has a good lobby to stay there did you need to do a bit of time and lockers for your luggage
