We came for 3 nights to explore the city and go up into the mountains and couldn't have been more pleased with the location of this hostel. We stayed in a double ensuite room with mountain-view which was absolutely breathtaking - make sure you book mountain-view so you're not at the back of the building! We couldn't hear the main road despite it being so close, and the number 3 tram (less than 5 minute walk) goes straight into the city. With the Welcome Card you get free public transport during your stay so we used this line every day, super convenient. The staff are so friendly, I had a couple of questions about excursions and our room before we came and my emails were answered within 5 minutes. Breakfast was amazing - cold cuts of different meats and cheeses, hummus, spreads, pastries + breads, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables, boiled eggs, gluten free bread and lactose free butter! Plus juice, warm milk, cereals and loads of teas and coffee options (as well as oat milk). The breakfast room is self-service so you clear your own table, I thought this was a great idea because the table turnover is quick and you can always get a seat. I recommend eating between 7-8.30 so it's not too busy and you get the most variety. Our room was a great size, plenty of space for two people with lots of storage, a desk, big mirror and nice-sized bathroom. The different lamps made it feel cosy at night which we thought was a nice touch. The whole room was immaculately clean, no dust or anything. The double bed was really a big double as well - not two twins pushed together! The only thing that kept us awake a bit was the bed was very creaky, but we loved the view so much and had already unpacked, so didn't think it was worth changing. I haven't stayed in a hostel before so I was pleasantly surprised! I found the whole experience really relaxing and would definitely stay here again.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel ideal zum die Gegend erkunden. Die Highline 179 ist direkt nebenan und ebenso die Ehrenburg welche durch einen Schräglift oder zu Fuß ereichbar ist. Die Zimmer sind modern und groß und sehr sauber. Das Essen und das Frühstück sind sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Wir kommen bestimmmt wieder.

La chambre était grande. Le balcon était grand également et la vue depuis la chambre, sur toute la ville et les montagnes, était très belle. L'arrêt de bus est très proche. C'était propre et nous avons été bien accueilli.

It is a family run hotel/hostal in the full nature, the river running next to the house on the other side of the road, you can hear the sound all the time. Very friendly people, the rooms are simple but clean. Breakfast is very rich, perfect for nature lovers, hikers, bikers, motor riders, adventure sports. There is a rafting centre to go rafting on the Isel river. Good spot to start any hikes in the area also the Isel tour or if you want to climb the Grossglockner.
