The hostel is great in connecting everybody, because they have a group chat so it’s easier to connect with one another also they send recommendations in there so u know what there is happening in the city. Also they organize small dinners for a small price where everybody can meet. Around 8 in the morning the airco stops so it warmer in the room so u need to get the staff to turn it on again. And during the day it can get really hot in the common area unless u are oké with just sitting in front of a ventilator.. breakfast is really simple some slices of bread with jam/marmelade and 2 types of cereal so for me that would be something they could improve. But then again u can also make your own which is fine! Cause u can use the refrigerator and a basket to put your stuff in. Other then that I most definitely coming back here if I’m in Valencia.

Amazing experience! The staff is young and very prepared, it is extremely clean and the kitchen is spacious and properly assembled. My friends and I loved staying at this hostel, and we loved the very nice and friendly atmosphere. Also, breakfast is very nice and there’s this long table on which you can meet a lot of people! Loved it!

Great Time Spent at the Red Nest Valencia ...Super Staff , Super Location , Super Clean , Interesting fellow travellers .. can sometimes be a bit noisy so would recommend ear plugs for use in case of noisy sleepers ..many thanks

Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the room was spotless. We couldn’t fault it. The bathroom was shared so there was always someone cleaning the rooms and the bathroom. The bathroom had a slight smell coming from the drainage but other than that, I couldn’t fault the cleanliness Location: It was a little difficult to find at first since they don’t have any signs on the outside, but when your walking on that street, you have to look through the door glass to see if you’ve got the right hotel. Service: The staff at the desk were lovely. Sadly they have a set time when they are at the desk. After midnight there is no one on site, other than a phone number to call incase you need anything, which can be a problem for those who don’t have a Spanish number like us. Amenities: they had only one towel for me and my partner to use for one night. Downside: we wanted to stay one night to see how the place is, before we booked additional nights and we’re glad we didn’t booked additional nights. The capsule wasn’t sound proof, which we was aware, but the fact it had a quiet policy in place is what attracted us to experience the capsule. Sadly around 11pm not just me, but the neighbouring capsule experience a couple making loud intimate sounds in there capsule. We decided to give them there privacy but after half n hour it was beginning to bother me a lot as I needed to sleep. So I went to the front counter and there was no one at 2330 at the desk, just a phone number to ring. Which I couldn’t ring as I didn’t have a Spanish phone number. So me and the other neighbour capsule had to put up a sleepless night till the early morning. I did complain to the staff upon check out and she was really lovely and understood how I felt. It was a shame there was no one at night who I could have spoken to, otherwise I only had good things to say about this place

There's only 5 rooms total so its not a big place. However, it is kept very clean and there are curtains on the beds which is a plus. At times there were a few people socializing in the common area, but this definitely isn't a party hostel. There were also quite a few older folks staying there and in general it seemed like almost all the other guests were Spanish speaking/from Spain. I'm not sure if this was just because of COVID and the fact that global travel is in flux, so perhaps normally there's a different type of crowd here. Just about anything you'd want to see in Alicante is within walking distance, and this includes the stop for the airport bus.

El hostal Camaleón en Alicante es una vergüenza de sitio, y los que lo dirigen y trabajan en recepción unos caraduras. Estuvimos llamando desde las 20:30 hasta las 22:30 para avisar de que llegaríamos tarde para hacer el check in debido a un imprevisto. En ninguna de las 10 veces que llamamos obtuvimos respuesta. Al final llegamos al día siguiente al hostal, y nos dijeron que la reserva había sido cancelada al no presentarnos ese día. Lo cual es mentira, nos mintieron en la cara, porque más tarde llamamos a Atención al cliente de Booking y nos dijo que la reserva no había sido cancelada, por lo que nos podían hacer el reembolso. Esto mismo indica que la habitación todavía estaba libre, y no les dio la gana devolvérnosla. Solo querían venderla otra vez para sacar provecho, a costa de dejarnos a nosotras que ya habíamos pagado la habitación un mes antes, en la calle. Literalmente. La actitud de la recepcionista y el gerente dejaron mucho que desear, no hicieron ni un amago de ayudarnos ni de buscar una solución. Con actitud condescendiente y prepotente. Nos trataron fatal. No quisieron darnos respuesta y nos quitaron nuestra reserva. Unos SINVERGÜENZAS.
