If you can, definitely ask for the bottom bunk, it was a pain in the ass climbing up and down with the top not having a head of head space. They do provide lockers with keys to lock up your valuables. They also provide some commonly used items on top of the fridge. Shower is in the room but washroom is shared in the communal area on every floor, the toilet stalls are extremely tight, it was a challenge to sit down, will def be problematic for taller individuals. It is a bit of a walk from the station but it is very quiet at night, everyone in the room was very respectful and tried to minimize the sound as much as possible. Overall, aside from the toilet being way too crammed, everything was good.

so clean amazing amenities even has a BATHTUB and different scented epsom salts, japanese toilets are such a plus, kitchen and interior design and free coffee was awesome, wish i stayed here longer:( , staff were so lovely

So its very near the temples and attractions so thats nice. Also away from the kyoto station so consider that if youre also into that. The hostel allowed me to leave my bag before and after checkout so thats perfect. It is also clean and well maintained, though toilet locks can be a bit tricky. They also have a cafe below, then a place to hangout with people and strangers. Have small kitchen with everything in it. They dont have free rental towel so heres that but its fine. Overall i will recommend this to my friends.

The place is super close to alot of mainstream attractions. Easily walking or one train stop away from Kyoto main station. The host is super knowledgeable on the Kyoto attractions and very helpful. Everyone in the team speaks English extremely well . The place is super clean and very organized. You can see the love given to his place. Dont skip the chat in the main lobby as you can learn alot from the host and other staff. Kudos for their passion. Definitely a place for me to come back.

A decent hostel with an excellent location near Gion in NE Kyoto, and very near to a station with direct trains to Osaka. The room was OK in size but very bare, only a double bed and tiny shelves for nightstands. It was a shame as you could easily fit a table/ chairs/ small wardrobe in here which would make it much easier for storing things instead of on the floor! Shared bathroom was OK, and only one shared shower for our floor, thankfully it was always free when we needed it. It was quite expensive for what it was so slightly disappointing, but I guess Kytoto is now a very expensive city to stay in.

Cute place to stay in a spacious mixed dorm. The dorm was well designed with lockers and lots of small shelves next to the bed plus a sink in the room. Bed was a little hard but not terrible. Found the self check-in process very convenient and clearly explained, you have to pay city tax and any extra charges separately before check-out, which you can do online with a qr code or cash if you have the exact amount. Nice to experience a more traditional building in Kyoto. The free rice porridge and teas and coffee was a great bonus. Plenty of convenience shops nearby and right near Kyoto Station. Overall a really relaxing and cosy place to stay!

今回はドミトリー式のホテルに宿泊しました。 立地がとても良く、観光や移動にとても便利な場所にあります。 サービスも丁寧で、スタッフの対応が親切だったのが印象的です。 朝食にはパンとコーヒーが用意されており、宿泊費もその分リーズナブルでコスパが高いと感じました。 シャワールームも数が多く、混み合う時間でも待たずに使えたのが嬉しかったです。 エアコンもしっかり効いていて、快適に過ごせました。 価格、サービス、設備のバランスが良く、また利用したいと思える宿でした。

As a solo traveler, I highly recommend this hostel for its exceptional quality and value. I stayed in a private room for just one night, but the experience was memorable. The location is convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby attractions, although it’s not the most centrally located spot in Kyoto. What truly stood out was the service—staff members were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and eager to help with any needs or questions. The amenities were also top-notch, including clean and comfortable facilities, well-maintained common areas, and thoughtful extras that made my stay even more enjoyable. If I ever return to Kyoto, I wouldn’t hesitate to choose this hostel again. It’s a perfect option for solo travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

Good location, walkable to metro station and some tourist attractions. Provides shoe rack and slippers to change upon entering, has lift to access all floors. Shared kitchen and common area is spacious and comfortable, provides kitchenware, stove, cutleries, coffee and tea. Toilets and bathroom are clean and equipped with hairdryer. There is storage under bunk bed but need to prepare your own lock and key. Has airconditioning in the room. Paid washer and dryer available.

私は、日本人で1泊の一人旅で女性専用ルームを利用しましたが世界中の旅人が宿泊していて、大きな旅行カバンがずらーとベッドサイドにならんでいて（貴重品BOXに入らない）も何もトラブルはなく騒ぎ立てる方もいませんでした。 皆歩き疲れて寝るだけなので… コンビニも近くにあるし冷蔵庫、パンやお弁当を温めるトースターやレンジもあるのでなにも困る事なく有意義に過ごせました
