The price was fair, and the location was pretty nice - nearby to the city center. The room was not well maintained: the bidet was cracked, the bathtub was a bit clogged, taking long time to drain. The room furniture was burnt in some spots and there were stains in the carpet. There was a side chair which also was full of stains.

Es kam alles anders als geplant. Ursprünglich war Famalicao als Mittelpunkt für Fußballspiele und die umliegenden Städte wie Braga, Barcelos oder Guimaraes sowie das Douro-Tal geplant, am Ende verbrachte ich eine Woche mit Corona in diesem Hotel. Hier darf ich das Hotelpersonal sehr loben, die mir gute Empfehlungen für Apotheken und Teststellen geben konnten. Neben dem Hotel gibt es zum Glück auch einen großen Supermarkt. Das Hotel liegt direkt gegenüber dem Fußballstadion vom FC Famalicao. Ich konnte vom Zimmer direkt auf das Stadion blicken. Das Hotel ist noch sehr neu und die Zimmer waren exzellent isoliert zum Gang und den Nachbarzimmern, ein riesiges Qualitätsmerkmal meiner Meinung nach. Auch das Badezimmer war sehr modern gestaltet mit Regenwalddusche. Das Frühstück (das man in Portugal aufgrund fehlender Isolationspflicht auch normal einnehmen darf) hat mich hingegen leider nicht überzeugt. Es gab jeden Tag exakt das Gleiche, aber zum Glück hatte ich sowieso nicht so viel Hunger. Kostenlosen Tee oder Kaffee kann man sich den ganzen Tag an der Tee-Bar holen.

rating would be higher if not for problems in the restaurant. the hotel itself is lovely. desk staff very personable and helpful. we stayed in the king bed suite. separate bedroom, two balconies, lovely large bathroom, strong AC. the wi-fi was quite poor, cutting out regularly. nice view of the church and the valley across the road. area very quiet starting at dusk. but be aware that on Sunday evening it seems that a large quantity of people come to that church for mass. traffic became an issue. at least on our Sunday. we enjoyed the convenience & variety at breakfast. but dinner at the restaurant was full of problems. we were told we needed a reservation so we made one for 7p. when we arrived on time, the door was still locked. once we we let in, the two staff on the floor appeared to be just setting up for the evening. once seated, there were 3 parties inside, 2 of us, 2 gentlemen from UK, and a party of 17 (!) clearly from a tour group. this large party became the focus of the floor staff to our detriment. when we did get attention, the server was surly, barely interested in answering menu questions. and once the food arrived, were given the wrong dish not once but twice. rather than wait for the correct entrée to be produced, i ate what was served, a veal dish similar to a tenderloin steak. the salad and vegetables served with the meal were very tasty and the veal wrapped in bacon was good for the first couple of bites but once you got into the meat, it was clear that it was barely cooked. i know veal shouldn't be cooked beyond medium rare but this was barely warm. very disappointing. and trying to get any help while the two staff gave almost all their attention to the table of 17 was really frustrating for us and the other gentlemen hoping for a nice meal. management needs a better plan to handle large parties. maybe restrict other diners until large party has departed.

Very nice location. Very beautiful view. Nice breakfast and the rooms have a good size. Bed very comfortable and has air conditioning. The staff is nice, but not as attentive as they should be in a 4 start hotel, and that is the reason why I didn’t gave a 5. They didn’t know that we paid the room online before the check in, and asked to pay again without checking for exemple. They have games room, and bar, but both weren’t open and the bar had no one to serve you, it seem that was closed.

Desde da chegada até sairmos, os funcionários da receção foram 5 estrelas. Sempre muito simpáticos, muito prestáveis. Sempre prontos a ajudar. A limpeza do quarto 5 estrelas. Caso volte a braga, será neste hotel que fico. Obrigado pela vossa disponibilidade e simpatia 😀

Accueil sympathique. Grande chambre avec lit très confortable. Aucun problème de Wi-Fi. Parking devant l'hôtel gratuit. Bon petit déjeuner. Hôtel un peu excentré par rapport au centre ville mais nous l'avions choisi donc pas de surprise.

Wonderful Hotel and lovely staff. Everything was clean and tidy. The room was more than enough and everything was perfect. Breakfast was very good. Parking was available all the time. The hotel is close to city centre so it was easy to move around.

Cheap and cheerful hotel which is situated right beside Braga train station. It is on a par with a Premiere Inn in the UK. Reception staff helpful and room clean. Breakfast was included in price. Breakfast was basic, cheese/ham, breads, pastries etc but it was a reasonable start to the day bearing in mind the cost of the room. Easy walk into the centre from here. Would recommend for a short stay 👍

The most helpful staff we’ve ever encountered, nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast was a real joy, no buffet to manoeuvre just sit and have excellent service and a very good breakfast. The only problem we had was finding the entrance , it was raining so it made it a little more difficult , an extra bit of signage would do wonders . All in all a superb stay . Well done staff .

Ibis Guimaraes Centro Guimaraes Second time, and last time...... While in Guimarães we realised why we had such a problem finding a hotel in the area we wanted to be in, as there was the CONTEXTILE 2022 - Contemporary Textile Art Biennial 03.09. – 30.10.2022. The town was absolutely heaving the weekend we were there. It is over twenty years since we stayed in an IBIS hotel, and that was in the UK. We thought we would give this a try as we had no luck getting in anywhere else even though we looked early enough in the year for a place. We booked months ago. We had just arrived back from a break in Porto and the Açores. So this is our second stay in an Ibis hotel, and definitely our last! After checking in the previous evening, we went to the bar and asked for a beer and a glass of white wine. The chap on reception said we could only have a white wine if we bought the bottle, so we declined that offer as my husband only drinks red wine or beer. Later in the evening we arrived back and a young woman was on reception/bar duty. So I asked if I could have a glass of red wine? She told me I would have to buy a bottle of red! I asked her if they did anything by the glass? Yes, was her reply, I could buy a glass of white wine, which I did, and my husband had a beer. I don't know why the receptionist /barman told us why we would have to buy white wine when we were basically in Vinho Verde region where it is abundant! The room itself was clean and tidy, but in a time warp of the nineteen seventies with it's Neopolitan decor. Bed is comfy enough. The power block and the aircon were the only bonuses I can think of. Only a bath towel each, no hand towels, we really do like a hand towel after washing our hands and faces, NOT ideal to use a bath towel for this! The receptionist who worked mornings was very helpful and pleasant. As for breakfast, which was adequate, the fact that two people sat at a table for four, every morning while we were there, and put their bags and scarves on the chairs beside them is really annoying. Trying to get a table at your allotted time is bad enough, getting a table with two chairs was almost impossible at times. I asked for a chair, and the elderly woman looked at me with steely eyes because I was expecting her to put her bag and scarf on her knee, or at worst, the floor! How inconsiderate am I? I felt sorry for the lady who was in charge of making sure everything was there for breakfast, she was on her own and very busy. So many people just left their dirty trays on the tables and walked away knowing that other people would be turning up for breakfast. We all like to sit down to a clean table, but if other guests are too lazy to move their dirty trays, then there isn't a lot you can do about improving their manners. Three people turned up one morning and they stood by the table and waited for the lady who ran the kitchen, to come out of the kitchen to move the dirty trays to the trolley for them, the trolley being less tha

Quite amazing hotel in a converted monastery. The rooms are not huge, but that didn't spoil anything. It's an easy walk in to the town. We had lunch in town and spent the afternoon in the beautiful hotel pool. The hotel grounds are well kept and offer unexpected treats such as the waterfalls. Dinner at the hotel was a treat, the food was excellent and the service first class. All the staff were friendly, professional and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel. It's something special. Remember to download the Bolt ride share app for an easy and cheap ride from town back to the hotel.

I stayed here one night following my football team in Braga. It was one of the last hotels in the area that was still available, but travel to nearby Braga was only possible by taxi. The hotel was very basic. - The toilet was in a poor state of repair. There was often no hot water, and the shower runs off the tap water so this made showering difficult. The bathroom sink was made of stainless steel, which was reminiscent of a prison cell. - There is no heating, the air con only cools the room. It was cold weather during my stay, which made for a very uncomfortable sleep. - Reception is manned 24 hours a day, which was useful for getting bottled water when I arrived back late at night. It was also useful for getting a taxi so I could escape back to civilisation when I left early in the morning to go home. Don’t stay here at all if you’re actually on holiday, and if you’re just stopping over… still don’t stay here if there is literally anything else available.

This s a long overdue but heartfelt review of a place of character and grace. The staff could not have been more accommodating: We had difficulty finding our way because the GPS on our rented motorcycle failed us. I can't be sure if it was Yolanda and Rita (and a gentleman whose name I don't remember) who met us in town and accompanied us to the hotel, but we were grateful and touched by how everyone extended themselves. Our downstairs living quarters overlooked a sweet square, breakfast was delicious, and right next door is an adorable cafe with a charming proprietress. Guimaraes is a worthy stop and Casa do Juncal is very special!

Kemudahan sukan hotel adalah kelas pertama, tetapi tilamnya agak keras dan perlu diperbaiki. Kakitangannya mesra, SPA agak bagus, kolam renang 25 meter hebat, GYM sangat berkuasa, dan kakitangan Gym sangat baik dan mesra. Sarapan boleh ditambah baik, boleh dikatakan betul, tetapi tidak begitu baik. Pada suatu malam penghawa dingin rosak dan mereka menukar bilik pada waktu tengah hari. Ia tidak begitu menyenangkan, tetapi kakitangan cuba menyelesaikan semua masalah dengan cara yang paling mesra, yang meninggalkan saya dengan rasa pahit manis kerana saya bangun sangat letih, tetapi tidak boleh terganggu kerana orang ingin menyelesaikannya dengan sangat. cara yang mesra, secara amnya saya mengesyorkan hotel dan akan mengulanginya lagi tanpa mengira kecacatan.

We spent a week here and found it very comfortable. Mariana was wonderful when we arrived and helped me book an appointment at a beauty salon. While our room wasn't large it was stylish and well appointed. The shower was great. We had a small problem with A/C but the staff promptly fixed that when we enquired. We had breakfast everyday at the hotel and found the selection varied and tasty. We had dinner one night at the hotel and found it also to be yummy. The restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming. I had a massage there and found it to be very good and affordable. The location was excellent. When we arrived we found out that the park across the street was hosting a green wine event which was really fun. Highly recommend the InnSide Braga.

This is in a great location. It is a ten to twenty-minute walk to Santa Barbara Gardens, the Braga Se Cathedral, the Roman baths, and many more sites. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent; they prepared a special dessert for us when we were visiting with some friends from the United States. It is within walking distance of many excellent restaurants, Thai, Portuguese, vegetarian, Indian, and barbecue to mention some. The hotel's service is the finishing touch to the experience. It is efficient, professional, and friendly. They accommodate any reasonable request quickly and with pride. This Hotel is a Great Stay

Hotel eccezionale! Tutto al massimo: pulizia della stanza, gentilezza del personale, colazione ricca con prodotti freschi e ben assortiti. Attenzione massimo ai prodotti senza glutine e senza lattosio. Ambienti ben riscaldati nonostante gli spazi immensi; stanze con domotica e bagno grande super con doccia e vasca. Non si può desiderare di meglio! Complimenti al Melia! Sicuramente ci torneremo! All'esterno possibilità di parcheggio gratuito. L'unico piccolo neo è la distanza dal centro peraltro non eccessiva. Bravi i ragazzi dello staff!

Great views. The location alone makes it 4 or 5 stars. Right next to Bom Jesus, lots of walking trails, garden, children's park , outdoor exercise equipment, very small but cute and romantic lake with boat rentals in walking vicinity. Note, you have to go thru security gate to access parking area of all 3 or 4 hotels in same area. The hotel is a refurbished older boutique style hotel, which we loved. Clean, comfortable, quiet and room darkening shutters.

Avoid at allllll costssssss. First of all, everything seemed really good, the room was a decent size, the bed was big enough for 2 people, although if you like to sleep in a hard mattress where when you wake up you feel like you went to war? Well their beds are the best for you then, the pillows makes your neck be in pain when you wake up of how flat they are. Also, I was there for 5 nights, and believe it or not, it was 2 people, we started with 3 toilet rolls, which we barely use on the first day, we arrived at the hotel around 3pm, went to do some quick shopping of snacks and drinks which you can easily do around you, and then we went to find a restaurant and eat and etc, so we barely used any toilet paper, the next day after the housekeeper was there, we realised from 3 toilet rolls, we only had 2, which we were confused because we had 3, but oh well. So we spent the all day in the hotel, and the toilet paper is really thin and not big, probably as big as half a toilet paper, either way, they did not leave any more toilet paper, throughout the 5 nights we were there, which is ridiculous because we either asked or bought some ourselves, which is ridiculous having to spend money on toilet paper that should be provided by the hotel. I think it was really bad, but if that is not enough to keep you away, then go ahead and book a room to one of the worst hotels in the area I would say.

What can I say but this hotel is lovely, I cannot fault it, its clean, very modern, good location and the saff were superb. We had a larger room and so glad we upgraded, it was fantastic, large very comfortable bed, large bathroom. It's only minutes away from the town center where there is a large choice of restaurants for all tastes. And a couple of minutes from the train station, where you can travel North to Braga, or South to Porto, which we did a few times, and it so easy and cheep to do this. We would definitely recommend this hotel, don't know why it's only a 3 star, it feels so much more. Well done to all the staff that are there, they do make a big difference.

Bien placé, à proximité d'un supermarché et 10 minutes à pieds du centre ville 15 minutes (à pieds) de la gare. Chambre propre et grande, bonne literie, salle de bain impeccable. Cuisine commune très pratique.
