I stayed for just one night as I was on my way to Khao Lak and had limited time. My first impression was that the staff were incredibly friendly, from the reception team to the buggy driver. We arrived before the check-in time and planned to wait around, but the staff went out of their way to check us in early. Our room had a stunning sea view, with a porch where we could sit and enjoy the weather and scenery. The bed was comfortable, and the food was decent. I would definitely recommend staying here!

A fantastic resort to enjoy and relax. We extended our stay from 2 days to 5 days, that's how much we enjoyed it. There's local restaurants, food stores, local Masjid and a weekday food night market 2 minute walk outside the resort. Everything is Halal too. We made the most out the beach and the swimming pool. There are floats in every swimming for guest to use and canoe boats on the beach. Breakfast was included, it was a bonus to the resort. Every day there was different hot meals available and the food was refilled immediately. Fresh fruit, croissants, toast, fresh coffee was available as well as an egg station. I would highly recommend this resort for families and couples. I will definitely be back when I visit the island again. I am already missing the resort as I write this review.

We arrived at the HotSpring Beach Resort at the end of June '23, just a week after a new General Manager had started his new role - something we found out because he was actively meeting and greeting guests and will obviously be a great asset to the resort. He is overseeing a huge number of renovations and upgrades due for completion by the end of 2023 - and so any older reviews that speak of the resort needing some attention will now likely be redundant as the place is undergoing a major - and impressive - facelift. We were thrilled by our spacious room, the fantastic hot spring pools and the excellent contrast of the icy 'chill' pool (a rarity in Thailand, where refreshingly cold water to dip in is not so common). The staff were friendly and courteous throughout, and the grounds all the way to the beach are quite wonderful. Of course, in any transformation there is always something that still needs tweaking. Our two recommendations to the resort would be to enhance the taste and the number of vegetarian options of breakfast, which was generally a little on the bland side (though we ate two a la carte dinners at the resort restaurant which were outsanding and quite delicious). The other recommendation is to keep the beach free of the relentless flow of plastic and other garbage which the sea washes up. Although this is so common everywhere, and certainly not the fault of the resort, the beach gets a daily deposit of bottles and other plastics, and it would be great to see some efforts being made to collect and tidy the beach area as it's not huge, and this would certainly be an hour well-spent. Overall, highly recommended for a stay here - it's a unique place with such relaxing waters and the sense you're in the middle of a tropical forest with secret thermal springs just waiting to be discovered. If you're there in low season of June/Jule like us, then you won't see too many other people around and you can enjoy a lot of peace and quiet. Definitely worth a visit!

Nous avions nos 2 pts enfants (8 et 10 ans) avec nous et à leur arrivée dans la chambre ils ont trouvé celle-ci très ”classe” (il y avait un toboggan pour descendre du lit superposé en haut). C'est un resort tout à fait adapté pour les familles avec des enfants, beaucoup de jeux aquatiques, des piscines leur sont réservées. Nous avions une gde chambre pour nous 4 avec une cloison coulissante pour avoir un peu d'intimité. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très varié et chacun trouve de quoi se régaler aussi bien en nourriture asiatique qu'internationale. Le personnel est adorable et très serviable. L'hôtel est très bien situé, à 10 mn à pied de la rue très commerçante avec beaucoup de restaurants. Nous avions réservé une navette privée pour les transferts depuis et vers l'aéroport de Phuket, tout s'est très bien passé. A la fin de la semaine, nos petits enfants nous ont demandé pourquoi nous ne restions pas une 2ème semaine, c'est dire s'ils ont aimé. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir une 3ème fois .

Extremely lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Away from the bustle of the city. As the name suggests, it’s a golf resort up in the mountains. The road goes into hairpin turns as we approach the resort area, for about 15 minutes. Need to be cautious when driving You’ll need a car for sure, to get here. Khao Lak is about 45 minutes away. Nothing much to do in this area, but the resort itself is big and nice to explore. There’s a walking path to a temple and waterfall within the compounds. The meals are nice, at the Sapphire Restaurant, the only one there. The spa is also well run with a large selection of massage and therapies. Rooms are spacious, but not the villas. We wrongly booked the villas, but upgraded ourselves to the rooms, which is much better.

Stayed here from 4th - 11th April recently for a family wedding which took place just up the coast on Natai beach at a villa. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was in the surrounding area to the main hotel complex. My understanding is the hotel have acquired these villas which were part of another complex and recently joined them to the hotel. The outside area was beautiful with gorgeous flowers and plants and cute paths leading straight to the beach. The room was very spacious with great air con and facilities were good - although we did not have a balcony we had sun chairs brought to our room so we could sit outside. Room was cleaned well and fresh towels, tea, coffee and water etc every day. Only downside was the bed which was uncomfortably hard although enormous! Missing in the main room was a mirror but this was fixed when we asked for one - a full length mirror was brought to our room which was a necessity to enable me to style my hair. The hotel pool which backs onto the stunning beach was a gorgeous spot to sit with a lovely breeze from the sea and looked so pretty as sunset drew in with beautiful tree lights. There is one main restaurant where breakfast is served which backs right onto the beach. It was uncomfortably hot inside - could do with fans to make the dining experience more comfortable. As the surrounding area is extremely quiet you need to taxi out to local restaurants, the hotel restaurant menu was quite limited although most of the meals we ate both during lunch and dinner were lovely although a bit repetitive. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food and we enjoyed this very much. There are kayaks, surfboards you can hire from the beach hit by the beach and table tennis/boules also. Pool/beach towels are readily available from here too. In all, a lovely hotel in a stunning location on the most beautiful beach. A great get away from it all hotel for the perfect beach retreat holiday. Would definitely return to this hotel if I was in this area again.

Great hotel for it’s money. Made a booking for 8€ and was very happy that they gave me a room on the highest floor with an interesting view on an evening street. The room is small, but ok, the bed is normal, working wi-fi and conditioning is also a +

ohhhhh...... what a place , what a resort , i am over whelmed with the experience.......... the serene , quite , blissful....... & A must visit place ........ me & family were travelling from phuket to koh samui..... & wanted a night hault in between , so we decided to take this place into consideration & were over whelmed with this property......... we decided to have a 2 bedroom villa with private swimming pool....... everything is just wonderful......... the food is just mouth watering........ as we all 4 family members were vegan , they arranged everything according to our needs............ & the taste was wonderful.......... we were too lucky as it was raining when we checked inn........ the atmosphere was just too romantic ............. the services at this resort is just wonderful...... i will strongly recommend everybody to stay at this place & rediscover yourself & your love with your beloved partner............. thank you bor saen villa for loving us.................

the interior of the hotel is simply incredible, everything is made in the same style from unique items. Mirrors, lamps, plumbing, cabinets, sinks - the eye clings to just about everything! and not only in the rooms, but also throughout the territory This place is simply created for those who want an aesthetic and quiet vacation. the only thing that the management should pay attention to is the quality of the work of the cleaners, I have been left without towels more than once.

Ich hatte mit einem guten Freund einen Aufenthalt von vier Nächten. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig mit einem Balkon zur Straße. Da 200m vom Hotel ein Markt mit einer großen Bühne war der von 17pm-23pm ging, war es abends ein wenig lauter( man hatt den Bass leicht gehört). Die Straße hatt man mit geschlossenen Türen garnicht gehört(Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert). Das Badezimmer war mit einer halboffenen Dusche Shampoo ausgestattet. Mann hat jeden Tag Wasser und frische Handtücher bekommen. Das Hotel hatt im Hinterhof auch einen kleinen Pool der bis 8pm geöffnet ist und absolut ausreichend ist. Die Rezeption war auch 24 Stunden offen. Um Ausflüge zu machen empfehle ich 50m weiter einen Roller zu leihen der 200 Bhat pro Tag gekostet hat, damit kommen sie überall ganz leicht hin. Ich kann dieses Hotel wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Ich komme wieder

We spent 10 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect for our needs! An utterly beautiful hotel with clean rooms and facilities and the kindest, most helpful staff I've ever come across in a hotel. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with direct access to the 2.4km pool - this was a great feature and it felt like we had a bit of private pool whilst being able to swim all the way to the main pool. The pool also adds to the feeling that you're in a village community rather than a commercial hotel, as we made friends with our ”neighbours” and would see them from time to time when we were out swimming. The hotel's beach is clean and stunning, the sun beds are thickly padded and comfortable, and we made use of the bodyboarding and kayaking equipment on our stay. The restaurants at the hotel were incredible! The main ones are Ta-Krai (Thai), Sakura (Japanese), and Olive (Italian). Before arriving I was a bit sceptical at how authentic the restaurants would be but the hotel has ensured they've brought in the best chefs who could bring authentic cuisine to Khao Lak. The sushi at Sakura was probably the freshest and tastiest I've ever had (albeit, I've not been to Japan yet, but it's still better than all the London sushi places where we live and even better than Nobu). We loved Olive restaurant too, in particular their Sunset BBQ evening where you're spoilt for choice on meats, seafood, sides, salads, and a full-on Italian cheese and ham bar with really delicious, authentic selections. Chef Enzo there was dishing out cheeses to us and making recommendations what to pair each cheese with and was so helpful (and the cheeses were incredible). We opted for the Breakfast and Dinner package and we're really glad we did as we loved going back to those restaurants over the 10 days. For lunch we'd eat at the hotel cafes, or out at excursions, or at local restaurants adjacent to the hotel, such as Phen's (delicious!). We also bought a spa package at Quan Spa in the hotel and booked in lots of treatments throughout our stay. The spa is beautiful and the massage therapists were excellent; it's a bit pricier than outside the hotel but the spa environment is worth it for that luxe feeling (and still cheaper than in the UK!). Overall, I don't think we found and faults with our stay at JWM and we will definitely come back in the future, perhaps for our anniversaries! And we would highly recommend it to all our family and friends!

I had a very pleasant stay at this property. The location, slightly away from the town, ensures a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, which was perfect for relaxation. The breakfast offered was delicious, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. A great perk is the scooter rental service available, which is ideal given the location, though it's a bit pricier than what you'd find in town. However, considering the convenience, it was well worth the extra cost. The pool was lovely, providing a nice spot to unwind. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was practically unusable, and mobile data didn’t work unless you bought an AIS SIM card, which could be an inconvenience for those relying on connectivity. Overall, it’s a great place to stay if you value a quiet, relaxed environment, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere, just be prepared for the additional cost and Wi-Fi limitations.

Good 3 star budget hotel staff friendly rooms cleaned daily breakfast was ok and the restaurant turns into a Italian on the evening that was very good 2 pools one near reception quieter usual pool towel problems on sun beds some all day and guests never even turned up to use ! 5 minutes walk to beach sadly no sun beds ect hotel is 2 minutes walk to main ***** restaurants massage gifts was a good chilled stay

Ocean Leaf Great hotel, friendly staff, nice room, clean pool and good breakfast. 2 mins walk from a lovely clean Sandy beach. We stayed here for four nights to unwind before our backpacking adventure across Thailand. Do not try and eat within two hundred meters of the hotel if you want a nice and affordable meal, walk up to the main drag. Go Pong is a good choice, but there are lots of others. Check out my trip report on forums or other reviews.

The room was clean and nicely renovated with daily maid service, coffee and tea making facilities and good efficient air conditioning. The bathroom was a little dated but had a good warm shower and toilet. There was a small pool and a few sun beds but no parasols or protection from the sun. We had breakfast which was very basic. The staff cooked the eggs at 7 o’clock but they were not kept warm. Breakfast choice was limited to toast, cornflakes, fruit, eggs and fried rice every other day. The pool seemed to open late at night because at weekend it looked like some of the staffs teenagers were frolicking in the pool past 10 o’clock so it was quite noisy and hard to sleep. The price was good for this hotel and it was across the road from all the bars and restaurants. The beach would be a 20 minute walk away and there are many hotels nearer to the sea.

房間乾淨整潔，有設計感，停車位有點緊張，有一天停到右邊店鋪門口了，早上人家營業趕緊離開他們很友好客氣。出門右轉有一家7-11，周邊食品很多小吃，推薦右邊路口的一家比較大的，味道很好。

The place is beautiful The beach is amazing The service is poor. The cuisine is average. We had a romatique dinneron the beach - everything was messed up - the service was long, the food was not good. The hot dishes for breakfast were ridiculus - very small and looking unappetizing. As we understood the main chef is italian, but the only once when we had good meal, it was for lunch. The pasta was amazing and it was cooked by the Thai chef. We have booked a pool suite with ocean view. The room was big, beautiful and clean. The pool was big enough, nice, with jacuzzi. But there was no ocean view at all. The room was very far from the beach. When we asked why we didn't get the room we have paid for, the reply was ”we are fully booked”. No refund was done. The staff doesn't speak English. Not easy to ask or order anything.

Santhiya Resort in Phuket's Natai Beach is a total gem for anyone looking for a chill spot with a mix of chill vibes and Thai luxury. The place is stunning, with cool wooden architecture and a vibe that’s all about relaxation and good times. The real standout for me, though, was the amazing service, especially from Pa at the reception. Losing stuff while traveling is a nightmare, but Pa was a lifesaver. She didn’t just help find my lost items; she went the extra mile to send them to my friends at a different hotel. It’s that kind of above-and-beyond effort that really makes a stay memorable. Aside from awesome people like Pa, Santhiya’s got everything you’d want for a laid-back escape. The spa is a slice of heaven, the gym is top-notch, and the rooms? Pure comfort with stunning surrounding. It’s the kind of place you go to treat yourself, where you feel taken care of and totally at ease. Big shoutout to Pa and everyone at Santhiya for making my stay super special. It’s more than just a resort; it’s a place where you leave feeling better than when you arrived. Totally recommend it if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy some Thai hospitality. Just one negative thing: the food was not great especially if you know what Thailand can offer. I recommend staying in Santhiya but eating outside the hotel. There are plenty of options!

Wer Ruhe sucht, wer die Natur liebt, wer keinen Luxus braucht aber guten Service schätzt, der ist hier richtig. Eigentlich ein Geheimtipp, aber die Gastgeber haben es verdient, dass man über sie spricht und schreibt. Im dünn besiedelten, ländlichen Teil von Phang Nga gelegen, trotzdem nur 30 Minuten vom Phuket International und 15 Minuten zum brandneuen Top-Golfresort AQUELLA. Tolle, einsame, saubere Strände, vereinzelt auch kleine Strand- oder Dorfrestaurants, ideales Gelände zum Fahrradfahren. Das LANTALA ist traumhaft im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Träumen am großen Fischteich, wohnen in kleinen Villen mit Schlafzimmer, Miniküche, openair-Dusche - alles sehr sauber und gepflegt, Frühstück auf der privaten Terrasse über dem Wasser, serviert von freundlichen Gastgebern. Erholung pur. Bei Anreise per Taxi ist vor Ort kein Auto erforderlich - Strände, Restaurants, Geschäfte etc. sind per bereitstehendem Fahrrad erreichbar. Für längere Strecken ist der Taxiservice verfügbar. Lanta, die Chefin, ist eine reizende Gastgeberin. Sie kümmert sich um alles und schafft Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ihrer LANTALA Residence ist unschlagbar. Ich komme wieder!

I cannot praise this hotel enough. The staff were so friendly, attentive and just couldn't do enough for you. We stayed in villa 17 and it was stunning, set over 2 levels the upstairs was bedroom, seating area, very good sized bathroom with stunning views across the bay throughout, out on to a balcony with seats and a jacuzzi bath big enough for 2. Downstairs was a cuddle chair under a canopy and a plunge pool. It was just breathtaking and the things dreams are made of. The food and cocktails were beautifully presented and very very tasty plus good value. A incredible place to watch the sun rise. The hotel also organise trips using peopl from the local community which is a lovely touch. Highly recommended

Overall service was good - Hotel transfer service was reliable (including airport transport and to other attractions). Food was good except for the seafood barbecue buffet dinner (the seafood was not fresh and most dishes were not hot enough). Prices for local tours arranged through the resort were unreasonable higher than average, it’s like doubling/tripling the average price. Some of the restaurant staffs could not understand very simple English which makes ordering difficult. Waiting time for the food was unreasonably long (almost an hour). The staff at the Kids Club was super nice and patient, my son had a great time there making art work. If they could have some scheduled activities with more variety, it would be better. Wi-Fi in our villa was very unstable and the staff could not fix it. When we checked in, there were not enough towels in our villa and toiletries didn’t get refilled. On some days, the staff missed cleaning our villa.

This is clearly a 5+ star hotel, amazing facility and location. Except for the food in their Buffet, which is jilust ”ok” , all the rest is above and beyond one could expect. We've stayed at their lower cost, non-private pool room, which was very nice, big comfi and with great view to the sea. We defiantly will try to be back to it one day..

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Villa butler was excellent and really worked hard to fulfil our requests. Food was fantastic at every hotel outlet. However, we did experience some villa food service issues which we did not quite understand the logic behind the menu which we ordered to the villa. Room were nice and bedding were very comfortable with choices of pillow fillings

Ia mengambil masa kira-kira 30 minit untuk menaiki bot dari jeti ke Pulau Dachang. Selepas tiba di pulau itu, terdapat kereta hotel untuk menjemput anda, tetapi anda perlu membayarnya sendiri. Persekitaran hotel sangat baik, tepat di sebelah laut,sesuai untuk bercuti di sini.Kalau nak menikmati kehidupan tepi laut memang ramai orang.Ramai sangat sunyi syurga percutian,makanan hotel pun sedap, recommended

My partner and I stayed at Koh Yao Yao Village for 3 nights during our travels around Thailand. The hotel is set within lush tropical grounds and has been designed to connect with nature. Whilst the hotel is quite remote, we hired a moped from a place at the end of the hotel drive for 250thb/day which made the island easily accessible. We stayed in a Deluxe Villa which was huge and we couldn’t quite believe this was the lowest standard accommodation on offer. The villa has a spacious outdoor area with loungers, a day bed, and chair, all of which were great for chilling out during the evening. Other aspects we loved about the room was being able to listen to nature whilst using the outdoor shower. The main pool is large and well designed, offering outstanding views across Thale Ko Yao towards Krabi. There is a swim up bar which offers a selection of drinks/cocktails however the service here was on the slower side. Breakfast was generally good, offering a wide variety of both local and international options. We also ate in the main restaurant for dinner on two nights where we found the food to be ok. A few reasons why I’ve rated this hotel 4/5: 1 - whilst I think the design of the hotel is timeless, some areas are starting to show their age e.g. AC not working on one night (took 3 calls to reception to resolve), bathroom sink plug not working. 2 - The music around the main pool/restaurant started to frustrate us after a day, I feel for people staying here for any longer. It appears the playlist/CD has about 8 songs and these repeat all day and evening. 3 - all food and drinks are subject to a mandatory service charge so the price you see on the menu isn’t the price you pay. I wouldn’t have an issue with this in a restaurant setting or if the service was outstanding however it wasn’t. On top of this, you are then also asked if you’d like to leave a tip (on top of service charge) when you settle each bill.

嬉遊訂的套餐，國慶可預約不加價。住三晚包碼頭接送，交通方便，機場到碼頭車程半小時，快艇大概半個小時，酒店有車接送，十幾分鍾即可到達。到lobby有歡迎禮，工作人員態度很好，酒店很新，設施齊全，房間寬敞明亮，全海景，每天打掃兩次。周邊生態環境好，酒店前的沙灘有很多幽靈蟹。從碼頭去甲米的宏島很近。酒店植被豐富，環境優美，游泳池非常棒。早餐品種齊全，西餐廳和日本料理味道都不錯，點雞尾酒送到房間還有服務生現場調配。總之一切都很棒，希望明年放假還能再去。

According to Google the Thiwson Beach Resort is a 4 star resort, by definition this means it needs to offer a deluxe guest experience with a wide range of facilities, superior design qualities and excellent service. Based on this definition I felt it fell short of the mark and is a 3 star hotel at best, having said that, I absolutely loved it hence the high rating. At the time of writing #kohyaoyai only has a handful of resorts and guesthouses to choose from, i researched them carefully, my essentials being air conditioning & swimming pool in the mid range price bracket, my wish list being a characterful locally owned property on a beach. With the @thiwsonbeach I struck gold. This unpolished gem offered everything on my wish list plus more. Owned by a local family, three generations of whom regularly join the guests for dinner in the open air restaurant which serves very tasty reasonable priced Thai food and great chicken nuggets to the delight of my toddler (albeit they were out of fries for the duration of our stay!). Beside this are the beachfront huts are in prime position with their own outdoor jacuzzi, it’s no wonder they book up so far in advance. There are facilities on site to hire scooters or book tours to explore the island and two lovely pool areas. I was initially disappointed with the hilltop location of our own bungalow which are actually across the road from the others, but the quiet semi private pool area in front of our large veranda anf the sunrise view through the frangipani trees buckled my reservations. Our family suite was made up of 2 interconnecting rooms, including an extra bed charge charge & 3% credit card levy cost us €150 per night. The resort isn’t perfect, there are holes in the concrete (my little girl took a nasty fall in one) & bugs in the rooms (to the delight of my 9 year old boy), there is no room service and while there is sand the sea is separated from the resort with a concrete flood barrier & is extremely tidal so not ideal for swimming but for me character trumps perfection every time so I would return again in a heartbeat💖

amazing place combining everything that is best on the island, lots of nature which is everywhere. Beautiful large houses with an amazing view of the pool and the sea. I recommend it to everyone who wants to relax in an extraordinary quiet place, we will definitely come back there

This hotel lives up to it's name, absolute paradise! It is so peaceful and relaxing with many activities on offer if you want. The daily yoga on the beach was a highlight! The food at the restaurant was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The buffet breakfast had everything you need and more. One small thing to know is that it is very remote, so if there are any snacks you would want, you might want to stock up before you arrive.
