Lovely place. Highly recommend! If you’re looking for a proper warm place to stay in budapest, this is definitely your best choice! The room, lobby and kitchen are super clean and tidy. The hotel staffs are welcoming. The location is perfect, where you can find a supermarket within 2 min walk and the tram station within 5 min walk! Also the breakfast are delicious and well-priced! What a great deal!

Excellent hotel to spend time between flights. The hotel is close to the airport with a free shuttle service available 24 hours a day. Large and clean rooms, rich, varied and delicious breakfast. Additional meals can be ordered for a fee - all the dishes we chose were delicious. Excellent staff at the reception.

Carlton Hotel Buda Castle - A Location Lover's Dream! My recent stay at the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle in Budapest was largely defined by its absolutely awesome location. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the historical heart of the city, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Being just minutes away from both the majestic Buda Castle and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion was a huge plus. I particularly appreciated the convenience for early risers – those who wish to view the stunning sunrise and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive (potentially with free entrance before official opening hours) will find this hotel incredibly convenient, as it's just a short stroll away. Furthermore, the hotel's location also allows for a pleasant walk to the viewing area across the river from the Parliament building. Seeing the illuminated Parliament at night from the opposite bank was a memorable experience, and it was easily accessible on foot from the hotel. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. However, there was one notable downside: the soundproofing could be improved. I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which sometimes disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Overall: Despite the minor issue with soundproofing, I would still highly recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, especially for travelers who prioritize location above all else. Its proximity to key attractions like Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, along with the easy access to sunrise views and the Parliament panorama, makes it a truly convenient base for exploring the best of Buda. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea, but the unbeatable location truly makes this hotel a strong contender for your Budapest stay.

Stayed Feb 2026 for 1 night. As most reviewers have already indicated, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Although we were assigned a room facing the Keleti station and the main road, it was surprisingly not too noisy. We could hear the occasional police siren but it did not disturb our sleep. One downside - we checked out early and wanted to store our luggage; we were surprised that it was a paid service (by a private operator on the hotel’s premises). The cost is high: renting a ‘XL size’ locker for 4 hours cost 14 euros if I remember correctly

Il bagno era terribile, lo scarico del WC e della doccia funzionava malissimo. L’asciugacapelli non funzionava e nella stanza faceva un caldo insopportabile. Soggiorno molto scomodo.

I recently stayed at this hotel and truly an outstanding experience from start to finish, The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful We stayed there during my husband birthday and when we returned to our room ,we found a beautifully chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us!!! along with a personalized birthday card from the General Manager. It was such a heartwarming gesture that made the celebration extra special. The hotel attention to detail and committed to guest satisfaction are truly impressive!!!! We will definitely be returning. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a comfort and memorable stay,

Hotel had everything we needed and the staffs were really nice! It is also very near a metro station, supermarket, and good food. Only down side is that the carpet is slightly stained (might be hard to maintain), otherwise all other facilities was really clean and nice. Also note that it might not be for light sleepers as the road sounds are loud and every hour you’ll get big honking/sirens wailing.

The pillowcase and towels had minor stains, despite having been washed. Otherwise, the room was clean. There was water in the minibar. There were no coffeemakers in the rooms. There was a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, and I enjoyed the goulash soup there. Breakfast was varied and sufficient.

Delightful little hotel in a quiet but easily accessible area of Budapest. Rooms were clean, nice and warm. Heating could be adjusted to your own preference. Paid for Breakfast consisted of a Coffee of choice and two delicious warm croissants. There is a private courtyard for Al fresco drinking or chilling out. Highly recommend to friends and family.

A great stay. The transportation is very convenient. Supermarkets and subway stations are very close. The room rate is good value for money, the room is spacious and clean. The double bed is big, but the bedding is small. I used two 90cm wide beddings. The front desk staff is very friendly. The breakfast staff is attentive. They did not chase me away when they were done cleaning, and let me continue to finish breakfast. They did not think that I was hindering their work.
