Set in really nice gardens, this property had a 'neat' look about it everywhere. The fact that it was in the Caucasus mountainous region helped in the splendid views around. The staff helped the checkin smoothly, the rooms were large, airy pleasantly well lit, with well appointed decor and good quality furniture. The bathroom was good, spacious, with a large shower stall, and good quality products. a large, airy breakfast dining area led out onto the deck, where more tables were laid out for those wanting to enjoy the weather. There were lots of ponds with fountains, and neatly laid out lawns to make the experience complete.

My only regret is my visit to Gabala was only two days one night. The hotel was spotless. Food good, breakfast excellent and staff really friendly and happy to help. Rooms large and great AC. Panoramic views from rooms and restaurant are stunning. Good sized walk in showers. This hotel is actually a formal stop on the cable cars which take you up and across these mountains. You must try them but not if you are scared of heights ! Gabala is a very traditional Azerbaijani town. Many authentic restaurants and very reasonably priced. Only downside is the drive from Baku is 3-4 hours. But worth it.
