Regrettably, I must share my disappointment with the hotel's customer service during our recent stay. On the evening of the 10th Feb'24, after a tiring day of exploring, we encountered a landslide near the hotel due to heavy rain. Understanding the situation, we reached out to the hotel for assistance, hoping for guidance or support.
However, the response from the hotel was disheartening. Despite our plea for help, we were simply told that nothing could be done until the road was cleared. This lack of empathy or willingness to assist guests in a challenging situation was truly disappointing. We were left stranded, exhausted from our travels, and unable to safely navigate the long walk back to the hotel in the rain.
It was only through the ingenuity and compassion of our tour driver that we got from Klook that we were able to find a solution. He took the initiative to arrange for locals with bikes to transport us back to the hotel, showing more concern for our well-being than the hotel staff did. While I understand that natural occurrences like landslides are out of their control, the lack of proactive assistance or even basic concern for guests' safety was unacceptable.
In the future, I hope the hotel will consider implementing better emergency protocols or at the very least, show more empathy and support for guests facing unexpected challenges. Our experience, unfortunately, fell short of the hospitality one would expect from a reputable establishment.
