Unfortunately the room type I booked was not available and I got upgraded to a room which was not quite matching my expectations (too dark and looking directly into the next building) still a nice room. For this the hotel manager offered me a complementary breakfast. The terrace on the roof has a great view! I will return in the hotel if I go to Dalian again.

RRojaeWe stayed at Novotel Dalian Zhongshan as a family, and chose it largely because it’s a newly opened hotel (2025).
While the location felt slightly less central than we expected, it was hardly a drawback—taxi fares are very affordable, making it easy to get around. Having a convenience store on the first floor was also a real advantage, especially for families.
The room itself was immaculately clean, exceptionally spacious, and paired with a beautiful view, it made for a very comfortable stay. We were also genuinely pleased with the fruit and beverage service, which felt thoughtful and welcoming.
One more highlight: the delivery robot was fascinating—no matter how many times we saw it, it still felt surprisingly cool and memorable!
Overall, a modern, well-maintained hotel that we’d happily recommend to families seeking comfort and a touch of something new.

YYemzyThe experience was great, when we arrived Michael at conciege did my hubby a good one by upgrading our room, we got a spatacular ocean view with a balcony, this was a great kicker for my husband lol 😆, the overall experience was lovely, the breakfast was OK although you need to add more pastries to your menu, muffins, éclairs, cup cakes, petit fours, puff pastries and the likes, just to make the breakfast more interesting, orange juice was not there you only had two flavors which were not that nice pineapple and grapefruit. and please it's always good to acertertain what the guests needs and offer great service during breakfast, help the guest in acquiring things that the hotel is offering and go and little extra to provide a good service so that the guest is happy and they would cherish their stay at you hotel.

PPengguna TetamuI stayed here with a friend during our year-end trip to Dalian, and I couldn't have been happier with our experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, which made our stay completely comfortable with no inconveniences whatsoever. I would definitely consider returning in the future. The breakfast was excellent, and the ocean view from our room was stunning!

Only the guys at the reception speak good English and all questions had to be resolved with them, including the restaurant menu - no one in the restaurant, even with my use of a Chinese online translator, could help me with questions about the menu and when I asked the person at the reception to help me understand the menu, it turned out that the kitchen could not cook either the first course from the menu or the second. With dietary restrictions and allergies, you can die of hunger here.
I consider it unacceptable to have non-English-speaking staff in a franchise of an English establishment.
The cook at breakfast talks on the phone right at the place where food is prepared during breakfast. I wanted to ask him a question about the dishes on the first day - he was texting on the phone, on the second day he was directly talking on the phone.
The dishes at breakfast are either not named at all or are named only in Chinese.
There was no seller in the store at the hotel no matter how many times I went in to buy a T-shirt. In the end, I tried on what I was interested in at the store, chose it and went to the reception to pay for it. The next day, a salesperson appeared in the store and told me that the T-shirt I bought the day before had a 20% discount for a month, but when I paid for it, I paid it full price and thus I was deceived by 20% of the cost of the T-shirt and did not give any receipt.
The pool is very small and not deep for such a huge hotel. If there is someone else in the pool besides your partner, there is not enough space.
The sea near the hotel is dirty. Nothing is suitable for swimming - there are no sun loungers, there is no space on the beach specifically for the guests of the hotel. The beach is across the road from the hotel.
There was only one coffee machine at breakfast and it didn't work both days. You could ask a restaurant worker for coffee.
The hotel by the way has a cool energetic staff and that's nice. The room cleaning is high-quality.
There are renovations going on at the hotel and guests can't use all the hotel areas.

PPengguna TetamuPullman Dalian is an excellent hotel, especially because of its location. Many great restaurants, a night market, and the Pavilion shopping mall are all within walking distance. There is also a Lawson convenience store nearby that operates 24 hours, which makes it very convenient to buy anything you might need.
The staff were also extremely kind and helpful. In particular, a staff member named Cathy who assisted us with check-in and check-out left a very strong impression. During our trip it happened to be our birthday, and Cathy kindly celebrated with us by preparing a cake and even helping us arrange a late check-out. She greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. Since it was our first time visiting Dalian, her kindness helped us enjoy the trip with peace of mind.
The housekeeping staff were also very thoughtful. The night before we had a few beers and left the studio area a bit messy, but the room was cleaned and organized perfectly the next day. We really appreciated their effort.
In addition, the beer pub located on the B1 floor was also excellent. They had live music performances, and one of the singers even sang a Korean song for us. We were very touched and truly grateful for the experience.
Dalian itself seems like a wonderful travel destination, with great food, plenty to see, and very friendly people. If any of my friends plan to visit Dalian, I will definitely recommend staying at Pullman. And if I come back to Dalian again, I will certainly book Pullman again as well.

TTurGerThe staff was helpful and nice, always happy to help with small requests. The communication was easy via Wechat. The breakfast buffet is a bit small and limited. The location was convenient, the beach in front of the hotel is nice. There are cafes and family-friendly attractions nearby like the Ocean Park, and the hotel felt safe and welcoming for kids. The room was clean. The overview from the balcony towards the bay is great. The hotel restaurant for dinner was very good.

Room was nice, with a great view over the city area and a comfortable bed, separated from the bathroom areas behind a wall. Great location, just about 3 minutes walking to ZhongShan Square, the center of the downtown area. Very close to the metro stations, many places to eat, some convenience stores, and some shopping areas. Can walk to many places, even over to NanShan Road and NanShan Street in a short time. The gym and workout/fitness area was very good, large and had a lot of equipment including several aerobic machines and free weights as well. Was also very easy to catch a Didi out front. Note: The lobby is up on level 6, and the hotel goes from about floors 5-30. I will 100% stay here if I return to DaLian.
