"Various issues. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor; I don't know what it was. There were no disposable slippers in the room; I had to ask at the front desk. Why wasn't this mentioned before check-in? After returning from my trip, I searched the room for ages but couldn't find them. I only found out after checking out and asking the front desk. They said disposable slippers were required, and the front desk isn't open 24 hours; I had to call them to get them to come out. Maybe this is a local issue. It's hard to give a proper review. It's true that the staff working late is unpleasant, but the room had no ventilation and smelled awful. Bad review. I never wanted to come back after this one visit. I didn't even stay; I just left my luggage there. Compared to other hotels in the same price range, there are much better options."

Next time we're in Dalian, the Shangri-La will definitely be our top choice again."

It was so delicious I didn't even take a single picture; I was too busy eating! The cherry pork was amazing! We might even stay another night because of this meal! However, there are a few things that need improvement. First, there weren't enough clothes hangers in the room's closet. Second, there wasn't a place to put towels and bath towels in the public hot spring bathroom area, and there was no bag to put our wet swimsuits in, which was a bit inconvenient."

"The location is super convenient! Downstairs, there's a Lawson convenience store and a highly-rated BBQ restaurant, and right next door is a luxury shopping mall. It's only a 10-minute walk to Zhongshan MRT station, which connects you to all the major attractions. Plus, a taxi to the airport takes just 20 minutes. The 24-hour butler service was incredibly responsive to all our requests, and the room service lady was very kind. The giant projector screen was a hit – the kids didn't want to leave the room!"

"The hotel has a great location. We booked a sea-view twin room facing the yacht harbor, right next to Xinghai Park, Xinghai Square, Sun Asia Ocean World, and an amusement park, all within walking distance. The hotel lobby is luxurious, and there are both Chinese and Western restaurants, making dining convenient."

"The room's location was a bit off, and it wasn't the full sea view shown in the pictures; some buildings obstructed the view. The hotel has a private beach, and the scenery is decent, but there's too much trash on the beach. If the hotel wants to run well, I think they should really clean up the beach. Other than that, the room facilities were fine, but there weren't enough power outlets. They were surprisingly located behind the headboard, making them impossible to reach… The service attitude was quite good though, and they actively helped carry luggage to the room."

"This trip felt fantastic; I honestly think this is the best hotel in Dalian. The environment is great, very quiet, and the scenery is beautiful. From the restaurant, you can even see the large ships in Donggang (the 10:50 one from Gangdong 5th Street) and airplanes—the view is stunning! The privacy service is excellent. Adale, Kayla, Adele, Jane, and Evelyn provided wonderful service, which I really appreciate. It definitely meets the Four Seasons standard. I'll stay here again next time I visit Dalian."

"The service truly exceeded my expectations. A day before arrival, a butler proactively reached out to ask about my room preferences, and even though I arrived early, they immediately had a room ready for me. The room itself was fantastic, with unbeatable sea views and a perfect spot to watch the light show. It really put a perfect end to my somewhat rushed trip to Dalian. The nearby Xinghai Fishing Port had delicious food, but unfortunately, it was too hot during the day and packed with people at night. So, I woke up at 5 AM and took a stroll on the beach, getting a little taste of the city's scenery. Oh, and the swimming pool was great – not crowded at all, very clean, and there was a really comfortable hot tub to relax in and melt away the fatigue."

"The room size was quite generous, and the bedding and bathroom hygiene were decent. However, there were large, unsightly stains on the carpet that probably couldn't be cleaned, which was a real turn-off. The view was good, and it was close to the beach, perfect for catching the sunrise and sunset. Here's where the problems started. We checked in on Friday and were due to check out on Sunday. We left the hotel at 3 AM on Sunday to watch the sunrise and returned around 5 AM to get some rest. But then, starting at 9 AM, staff members repeatedly knocked on our door, even opening it despite the 'Do Not Disturb' sign. About ten minutes later, someone else knocked again. To top it off, we received a call on the landline that rang a few times and then hung up. We couldn't get any extra sleep and ended up feeling groggy for the rest of the day until check-out at noon. When I checked in, the front desk staff asked for my Hilton Honors number, promising a complimentary fruit platter. We never saw that fruit platter even by the time we left. It's not about the value of the fruit, but why offer it if you have no intention of delivering? On the day we checked in, a staff member even called to ask if I was satisfied with the room. I had just entered, how would I know if I was satisfied yet? Interestingly, no one bothered to ask if I was satisfied when we were leaving. Overall, the experience wasn't great, but the hotel's location and the room itself were quite good."
