Hotel Xi'an dengan Bar

I have stayed at hotels of this brand in two different locations. In overall, I like Urcove by Hyatt a lot given it's good amenities such as self-serviced laundry and in-room coffee maker. They have excellent bedding and clean linens which really gave us a good rest. The bed is huge ! In terms of services, I am rather disappointed with the front desk (米饭妹）. She is impatient and rude when we were checking in and also the next day when we were enquiring about shuttle services. The other staffs (Carl and 浩浩）were very helpful although they seems a bit ”robotic” but they tried their best which we really appreciate their efforts. Location wise, it's slightly away from all the tourists spots but easily accessible. The hotel location also gave an advantage of not being trapped in the traffics especially during weekends. Shuttle services added some convenience but provided we have a local phone number, else it's difficult to find the waiting location especially the return trip. Perhaps the hotel can sort this out in near future. To add-on, the hotel is in a shared building with other business units hence the lift takes longer to reach. No worries on the security and privacy, it's well guarded, outsiders won't be able to access the hotel levels without an access card. In all , we had a good room but there's still room for improvement in terms of services.

Our stay at the hotel was absolute perfection. The rooms stylish, clean and so comfortable. The amenities feel luxurious and the staff went above and beyond to assure we felt cared for. The breakfast and afternoon tea are a must and don’t miss a swim in the pool!! The location was perfect for us as it is close to the main attractions within the city walls, yet feels very quiet and removed when you need to recharge. Loved it all!

Title: A Pleasant Surprise at Tongpai Hotel Xi’an – Highly Recommended! This was my first trip to Xi’an, and after browsing through many hotel options, I decided to try Tongpai Hotel. It’s a relatively new hotel, and I booked it with a “let’s give it a try” mindset—but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The hotel’s interior design is stylish and thoughtfully done. The moment I stepped into my room, I was impressed. I had booked a king-size bed room, and everything felt clean, new, and extremely comfortable. The bedding quality was excellent, which allowed me to have two nights of truly restful sleep. What stood out even more were the thoughtful details—the room layout was well-designed, and there was even a handwritten card from the hotel manager, along with a small drawing of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. These little touches made the stay feel warm and personal. My booking included breakfast, and I have to say, the variety was impressive, and everything tasted great. Another huge plus is the location. It’s excellent—just a 2–3 minute walk to the iconic Bell Tower. The area is very lively at night. There are plenty of food options just downstairs, including the famous Xi’an “belt noodles” (biang biang noodles), which are literally steps away from the hotel. Overall, I would give this hotel a perfect 10/10. I highly recommend Tongpai Hotel to anyone visiting Xi’an, and I would definitely love to stay at Tongpai again in other cities in China if I get the chance.

Cons: - Service was unprofessional. During check in on the first day, the front desk staff seemed clueless as to what he was supposed to do — he asked for our name (which was in English as we made the booking on Trip.com) and did not seem to be able to find our booking. Following this, he did not seem to know how to solve the problem and neither did he take the initiative to ask us for our passport. I had to offer our passport to him to help him find our booking. - After checking us in, the front desk staff did not provide any details as to where the restaurant was (as our package was inclusive of breakfast). Neither did he provide details as to where the washing machine and gym rooms were until we asked for these details. No instructions were given for connecting to the hotel WiFi, and we had to thereafter ask the staff for help with the connection as foreigners were unable to connect to the WiFi via the usual methods. - On the second day of our stay, we received a call from the front desk, who said that they were calling to verify our booking, as they were facing a shortage of rooms. This threw us off as it seemed that the hotel did not do their job of checking us in properly and the staff were not familiar with their own front desk or hotel procedures. Further, the staff made it sound as if we should bear the brunt of the consequences for this error and that we would have to move out given that they did not check us in properly and were facing a shortage of rooms. We had to emphasise again that our booking was confirmed on Trip.com. - One of the front desk staff who was on the night shift was also inattentive, rude and unprofessional. She was using her phone when we informed her that our room needed to be cleaned for the day, and subsequently did not seem to make a note of what we had told her. She merely gave us a dismissive “ok” and went back to using her phone. - The hallways would often have a strong cigarette smell even though we had requested for a non-smoking floor - As previous reviews had highlighted, the shower’s heating system would fluctuate between being hot and cold all of a sudden, which made it easy for users to fall sick especially in winter or be at risk of being scalded by the shower system. It would be good for the hotel to look into this, especially since this has not been fixed since the issue was surfaced in previous reviews - Location-wise there was a bus stop within 5 minutes walking distance, and lots of neighbourhood eateries nearby. However, the metro was rather far (about a 15 minute walk), unlike what is represented on the hotel’s Trip.com page. For those who would like to stay closer to the attractions such as the Bell and Drum tower and shopping malls, this location might be less ideal depending on preference. - One of the cleaning staff who cleaned our room on 27 December 2025 did not clean our room despite being reminded to do so, and when she eventually came, she did a slipshod job — she failed to refill the vanity kit, and while tidying the study desk, knocked over our boxes and bottles and did not even attempt to reorganise our items properly after leaving them in such a state. Pros: - Cleanliness was excellent and must be commended. The room, bedsheets, towels and amenities were always clean and spotless every day, which made this a pleasant and comfortable stay. - Most of the staff responsible for tidying our rooms were all extremely friendly and diligent, and was truly the highlight of our stay. They were also generous if we needed to request for more bottles of water or tissues. We had a pleasant experience with most of the cleaning staff, with the exception of one of them as mentioned above. - Hotel is very high-tech, with smart controls installed in the room which made it very convenient to access the lights, TV and air conditioning - Facilities including the hairdryer were very new and cleano

The service is excellent. Usually I don’t feel the service of Marriott hotels are outstanding compare with other 5 star hotel. However, this Renaissance is an exception。 the rest, the cleanliness and location, are all nice. The breakfast is very worth to try, you will have surprise. I will definitely be back again.

Hotel ini bagus dan kakitangannya sangat ramah dan membantu. Sebahagian kakitangan fasih berbahasa Inggeris. Sarapan pagi lengkap dengan makanan Cina dan Barat dan mempunyai banyak pilihan. Cuma lokasinya agak tersembunyi tetapi agak bagus jika anda memerlukan tempat yang tenang. Anda perlu bertanya kepada hotel jika anda ingin mencari tempat yang lebih cepat. Hotel ini dikelilingi oleh restoran dan berdekatan dengan Menara Loceng Xi'an dan juga berdekatan dengan stesen Metro. Xie-xie.

The hotel ia strategic, near and easy access to all the scenic area. Food is not a problem since the shopping street is surrounding the hotel area. We have a great time staying there. The host has been very helpful and friendly during our entire stay. Laundry services is also available at the hotel and it’s convenient for us. If you are tired from walking at the scenic area, the lower ground shop-lot have lot off massage parlours where you can relax after the hectic day. The owners’ cats are so cute and super friendly and being and additional friends for us 😍

Right near the metro station, you find yourself behind with the bell tower both beaming day and night time. Although the hostel is located inbetween Chinese phone stores, it's still a nice location. Going places were convenient, bus stops are close by, metros are near, food and drinks are close with underground walkways that were confusing, but you get the hang of it. Exit 9 leads you to the food street if interested. First time after being very interested in it appearing in many locations. Strict check in only appearing at 2pm and after. Many dorm rooms. 1 floor dedicated to female only, and can only be entered via key card. Upon arrival they give you a pair of slippers, but many don't wear them, but I do like the change of slippers in shoe cabinet. Chose the 12-bed dorm, room was extremely spacious, didn't felt clustered. Everyone had a small locker enough to fit your small backpack as there were a shelf in it. Bed was comfy and firm. Pillow - I rate it 2/5 for me, it's low and too soft, not my ideal. I love the bathroom a lot, there's 2 bathrooms according to the floor map. Each with many shower and toilets (all seated). Shower cubicle is big, hooks are at good height for 165cm, as in I've seen some that the hooks are like so tall up, curtains to separate the door to the water to keep your stuff dry. There is a set of washing machine and dryer in the female bathroom. Amenities of shower cap, cotton ear buds and toner pads are offered when you need them. Blowdryers are strong. Didn't go to the common level, where you have the bar, lounge, laundry, game, reading, movie rooms. For someone who was out everyday to night, I didn't get a chance to see. They have activities you can do. Definitely an extroverted dreamworld, a place where you can meet with people. People were friendly, both speaking Chinese and English. Conclusion: Definitely solo traveling in Xi'an again I would stay here, has everything you need, and super clean.

Stayed here recently and was pleasantly surprised. The location is great. Mins walk from the Bell Tower and the city wall. A few places to eat around it. We were unexpectedly upgraded from the 2bed to the 3 bed suite with mahjong table and Nintendo switch but I still would give this 5 stars as the suite was immaculate and kept clean throughout our stay. Many thanks to housekeeping for their hard work. Good size rooms and bathrooms. Common area was also a good size with a large dining table and fridge. True to the photos on hotel page. Also impressed with the air purifiers that were in each room including the common area within the suite which kept the air fresh. The cat play area in the lobby was sweet and kept clean so even if you are not a huge fan of cats, I still think its worth staying here as the vibe is peaceful and zen. Free bottles of water for guests and the refills left in our suite were certainly appreciated with the summer heat. Cleanliness and Service was excellent! Good for families or a group of friends. Would definitely stay here again.

Arriving weary and tired to be welcomed by lively, friendly locals having drinks by the roof terrace pool. This is not the welcome I expected to Xi’an at all! But it was very fun. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure I understood what was going on, and striving to make adjustments to my booking details where necessary. The distance from the centre means much less traffic when travelling to and from the station or other sites - making the location very convenient. The food and drinks by the roof terrace have a very wide selection, which is all delicious and comes with great service. I would definitely stay again.
